ENGLISH
18
- If thewater supply comes from atank or similar non-pressurised source, both
thepump and garden hose must first be filled with water before thepump
is started. Thewater source tank must be positioned at ahigher level than
thepressure washer. Aninlet filter must first be installed onto thehose’s inlet if
thewater source is in any way impure or sedimentary.
12. Turn off thepressure washer
1. Turn thepower switch to the 0position to turn thepressure washer off.

6. Wind in thehose.
Warning: Risk of mechanical damage. Thehigh pressure washer should never be run
dry (without water) as this may damage thepump. Always fit afilter onto thepressure
washer’s inlet valve if thesource water contains any impurities, otherwise thepump
may be damaged.
13. Using detergents (fig. 13).
- Flip thesafety lock backwards to ensure that thetrigger grip is locked.

ENGLISH
19
Useful tips
Note: Therecommended distance between thenozzle and thesurface to be cleaned
is approx. 30 cm. Shorter distances provide ahigher degree of cleaning power, but
can damage thesurface being cleaned. Longer distances result in agentler cleaning
jet for sensitive surfaces.
• Do not lay thepower lead on roads, cycle paths, etc to avoid possible damage.
Warning: Never use ashorter garden hose than 6 metres (1/2″hose). Thehose
buffers possible pressure surges in thewater lines which protects thepressure
washer and allows it work smoothly.
Warning: Water jetting out from thelance will cause it to recoil, so it is important to
hold thelance firmly with both hands while standing in abalanced and firm position.
• Never point theresulting water jet at people, animals, towards thepressure washer
itself or any other electrical equipment.
• Use protective glasses since water and particles can spray back towards you
when spraying against anobject.
Warning: Turn off thepressure washer and pull theplug when taking breaks.
Do not leave themachine on while unattended.
Care and maintenance
Warning: Turn off thepressure washer and pull theplug from thewall socket when
servicing and adjusting themachine.
• Regular cleaning of theinlet filter and thenozzle are important for theproper
operation of thepressure washer. Theinlet filter should be removed and cleaned
regularly to prevent sediments in thewater from damaging thepump and seals.
• Make sure thenozzle is open, carefully remove debris and build-up and rinse with
clean water.
• Protect thewasher against frost, empty it completely* and remove thepressure
hose. Place thepressure washer in dry storage for thewinter.
Note: Theguarantee is not valid if themachine is frost damaged.
* Start thepump with thetrigger pressed or with thepressure hose removed and let
thepump run for 30 seconds to completely empty thepump.
Storage
• Store thepressure washer in adry area out of thereach of children and others
who do not have theprerequisite knowledge to operate themachine. Disassem-
ble thepressure hose and lance and store them with thepressure washer. Avoid
storing thepressure washer in temperatures below 5 ºC or above 40 ºC.
Note: Protect thewasher against frost. Make sure that it is completely emptied
before storing.
Warning: Never run thepressure washer dry. Thepump’s seals can be damaged
in this way.

ENGLISH
20
• Remember that thepressure washer may still be under pressure even when
turned off! Depressurise it by pressing thetrigger before disconnecting thehoses.
Removing thepressure hose while pressurised can be dangerous.
• New nozzles for thepressure washer can be purchased from thesupplier.
Warning: Never look into thenozzle when it is attached to thewasher.
