A. Main Menu: Setting
The “Setting” menu will be covered first in this user manual because
most settings would need to be defined before actual usage. Once
basic settings are defined in the beginning, users almost never have to
change settings again. For the purpose of first time user, this user
manual is going to cover “Setting” before anything else.
There are three sections to the “Setting” menu.
•Section1 (blue)– these settingsare to beused by the administrators
of NMS Infinity. If these settings are not defined, users may
experience troubles using NMS Infinity.
•Section 2 (red) – these settings are typically set by Coiler during
NMS Infinity installation or they already contain some sort of default
setting. Even when the administrator would access these settings, it
would be for rare occasion and usually just once.
•Section 3 (green) – these settings are settings for the new map and
RSU features. These settings are only available when the license of
these features are active.
A.1. User Account Settings
A user with “Group rights” can create user accounts. “Supervisor” users are allowed to
Modify and Remove accounts of users belonging to users with lower privileges than
“Supervisor”.
Detailed privilege setting could be found under “Setting” - “User Group”.
After zones and groups are created, users can be added. To access User Setting menu for
user creation, please move the mouse cursor over “Setting”, then select and click on the
sub menu “User Account”.
This is shown as the following figure.
A.1.1. Create a User

NMS Infinity User Manual Ver. 1.1 Page | 10
The followingscreen will be shown, after choosing “User Setting” sub-menu:
To create a User, click on the “Add User”. It is marked with the red circle above. Then fill in all
the fields marked with red asterisk (*).

• Duplicate user names are not allowed
• “Group”: a user will be added to the predefined group with privileges of the group
• “Zone” binds a user to a zone. The user can only see his zone and sub-zones data
• “Lock” has Y or N options. If locked, the user is not able to log in until unlocking is done
by a user with full privilege to “User Account” (usually the “system administrator” and
“supervisor”).
• If the user would like to receive repeater alarm notification via SMS or Email, please
tick the box accordingly
If a user is created successfully, a message box will pop up for confirmation. Please refer to

needed, the administrator that would be performing the import would need to be very clear on
the Zone_ID and Group_ID during the CSV file creation.
In order to import Users, click on the “Import Users” as in the red circle shown below.
Select “Choose File” and then click “Upload” to import users from a proper csv file.
oFor some cases a file import can fail. Possible reasons for that are:
1. Required data is empty:
- [User ID]
- [Zone_ID]: Binding a user to a region. Users can see the zone it is assigned
to and the zone’s sub-zones
- [Group_ID]: Binding a user with group rights.
2. [Mobile] length error: when a user [SMS_Alarm] is set to “Y”.

NMS Infinity User Manual Ver. 1.1 Page | 14
oIf a user is already in the system, the user information will be updated according to
the imported file.
oIf a user does not have a password, or the password is set to “********”, the system
will set default password: “P@ssword01”, and will require the user to change
password during next system login attempt

newly created zone pattern.
Note: the maximum number of zone layers is seven. Please limit the layer to seven or under.
