Please read theentire instruction manual before using theproduct and then save

1. Safety
• Keep thelaser level’s warning labels in readable condition.
• Never point thelaser towards people or animals and never look into thelaser
yourself. Even low intensity lasers can cause permanent eye damage.
• This product contains no parts that you can repair yourself. Warning! The laser
level may not be disassembled, opened or modified in any way. Doing so may
expose theuser to harmful laser beams.
• The laser may not be used for purposes other than to project laser lines for
thepurposes of measuring.
• This laser level generates laser beams in accordance with IEC 60825-1, class II
standards. Laser beams always pose arisk of blinding both people and pets.
• Only let qualified tradesmen repair this instrument and only using original parts.
• Never point thelaser onto reflective material.
• This product is not atoy. Never let children use thelaser level without supervision.
The possible risk of inadvertently blinding someone is always present.
• Never position thelaser level in such away that thebeam projects at eye level and
could possibly shine into someone’s eyes.
• Never leave thelaser level on and unattended. Always turn it off after use. There is
always apossible risk that someone could be blinded by thelaser beam.

Never look directly into thelaser beam.

3. Inserting batteries
Remove thebattery cover (5) and insert
3 x AA/LR6 batteries (sold separa-
tely) observing thepolarity markings in
thecompartment. Refit thebattery cover
and ensure it sits securely.
Warning! Always switch thelaser off
before changing batteries.
• Change batteries when either of
theindicator lights, (8) or (9) begin
flashing red on thecontrol panel.
• Never mix old and new batteries or
batteries of different types.
• Remove any discharged batteries
immediately.
4. Operating instructions
1. Place thelaser level on afirm horizontal surface or screw it onto thetripod.
2. Set the[ON/OFF] switch (1) to theON position. Select thedesired setting
by pressing [MODE]:
There are four modes to select from:
- A. Normal cross-line self-levelling mode is thedefault function when first turned
on: Cross-line laser (unlocked with self-levelling and incline warning activated).
- B. Press [MODE] once to switch to ahorizontal mode.
- C. Press [MODE] twice to switch to avertical mode.
- D. Press [MODE] athird time for cross-line locked mode (incline warning
deactivated). Depending on what is selected, indoor or outdoor mode, one of
these indicator lights, (8) or (9) will show asteady red to indicate cross-line locked
mode. Press [MODE] once again to return to normal cross-line laser mode.
3. In normal cross-line laser mode theself-levelling feature will automatically
compensate for asmall margin of incline error (within 4°). The laser beam is ready
to be referenced once thebeam is solid and still. Note! If theinstrument is inclined
more than 4° from thehorizontal, theself-levelling feature will not work.
Angles exceeding 4° will cause theindicator lights, (8) or (9) to show asteady red
and thelaser beam to flash. The angle must be within 4˚ of horizontal for theself-
levelling feature to work.

Indoor and outdoor use
Press [SHIFT] to select theenvironment of use - outdoors or indoors. One of
theindicator lights will be lit, (8) or (9) depending on thesetting selected:
The indoor setting is designed for indoor, short distance use in normal lighting.
Working range: up to 15 m.
The outdoor setting is designed for longer distances and must be used in conjunction
with alaser receiver (sold separately). Working range: up to 30 m.
Tripod use
The laser level has a1/4″threaded connection at its base. Using atripod will make
thepositioning of height and angle settings easier.
Transport and storage
Always turn off thelaser level by setting the[ON/OFF] (1) switch to OFF during
transport or when not in use. In theOFF position thelaser will also be locked which
protects it from sudden movements.
5. Care and maintenance
• Always protect thelaser from dust and splashes.
• Always handle thelaser with thecare of theprecision optical instrument that it is.
• Use alightly moistened cloth to clean thelaser level when necessary. Use amild
detergent and never use solvents or strong, abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning
as these can damage theproduct. During cleaning, remove thebatteries and
wipe thebattery compartment clean with adry cloth (the device’s electronic
components are IP54 certified but thebattery compartment is not).
• Do not expose thelaser level to knocks, continuous vibration or extremely high
or low temperatures.
• Store thelaser level in asafe place out of children’s reach.
• Turn theinstrument off after use. Make sure theswitch is in theOFF position
before putting it away for storage.
• Remove thebatteries from theproduct if it is not to be used for anextended period.
• Remove thebatteries and use adry cloth to wipe out thebattery compartment
after each use.

6. Troubleshooting
