• Do not expose thelaser level to extreme temperatures or rapid changes in temperature.
Do not leave thelaser level in your car for along period. Extreme temperatures or rapid
changes in temperature can affect theprecision of thelaser level.
• Avoid subjecting thelaser level to heavy impacts or shocks. Damage to thelaser level could
affect its accuracy. Theaccuracy of thelaser level should be tested against known references
following any heavy impact or shock.
• Switch thelaser level off before transporting it. When thelaser level is switched off
thelevelling system locks to prevent it becoming damaged.
Automatic Self-Levelling
1. Position thelaser level in asuitable place (free-standing or on atripod/stand).
2. Set the [ON/OFF] switch (4) to theON position. Thelaser beam will appear on thesurface
that thelaser window is pointed towards and theauto-level indicator (2) will be green.
Note: If thelaser level is inclined more than 4° form horizontal theauto-level indicator will shine
red, thelaser beam will flash and theself-levelling function will deactivate. Right thelevel by
hand to within 4° of horizontal and theautomatic self-levelling function will reactivate.
3. Press [ ] therequired number of times to select thedesired laser projection mode:
horizontal, vertical or cross.
4. Slide the [ON/OFF] switch] to OFF to turn thelaser level off.
Note:
• Always switch thelaser level off after you have finished working or before moving it to
adifferent location. When thelaser level is switched off, abuilt-in lock mechanism is engaged
to protect thelevelling mechanism.
• In theevent of vibrations and changes of position during use thelaser level will automatically
self-level. Each time thelaser level has been levelled, theaccuracy of thehorizontal and
vertical lines should be checked against aknown reference in order to avoid errors.
Locked line mode
Theprojected laser line can be locked (self-levelling switched off) and thelaser level tilted
manually to any desired angle.
1. Slide the [ON/OFF] switch to OFF.
2. Press [ ] to switch thelaser level on. Theauto-level indicator will now shine red.
3. Press [ ] therequired number of times to select thedesired laser projection mode:
horizontal, vertical, cross or no line at all.
Care and maintenance
• Always switch thelaser level off before cleaning it, moving it, and after you have finished working.
• Clean theexterior of thelaser level by wiping it with adamp cloth. Use only mild cleaning
agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Always treat thelaser level with thecare deserving of theprecision optical instrument that it is.
• Do not subject thelaser level to impacts, vibrations, extremely high or low temperatures.
• Remove thebatteries and store thelaser level in adry, dust-free environment, out children’s
reach whenever it is not to be used for anextended period.
