G644 KinderVan for Four
G646 KinderVan for Six
5. Moving and braking: To move the KinderVan,
pull brake handle down against handlebar and
hold. The wheels are now free to move. Push
down on handlebar to turn KinderVan or to go up
a curb. Releasing the brake handle will automati-
cally set the brake.
WARNING
cIf brake does not set when handle is released
do not use KinderVan until this has been cor-
rected. If problem cannot be corrected please
contact Customer Service for advice.
cBrake handle must never be tied down, or
fastened in any way to the KinderVan handle.
cDo not release the brake handle suddenly
while child is nearby, as handle may strike
child.
6. Stabilizing casters: For added safety, when
loading or negotiating curbs, there are two small
wheels in the rear to ensure that the KinderVan
cannot tip over onto the handle. When climbing
a curb, tip the KinderVan back onto these casters
and move forward.
7. Storage bin: The convenient storage bin is avail-
able for small items (not to exceed 5 lbs). For
normal use, gently pull down and out part way.
For cleaning, pull out all the way
WARNING
cOverloading storage bin may cause the
KinderVan to become unstable.
Accessories
Canopy
A Canopy (G641) can be attached to any seat back
of the KinderVan / 4 or 6 as a partial shelter from the
sun and rain (see Figure 5).
To attach Canopy, first make sure that the seat is in
its most upright position. Align the two flat tongues
WARNING
cAlways secure a child with the seat harness
system. The seat harness is provided for the
safety of the child and its use must be closely
supervised. Carefully adjust seat harness for
the comfort and security of each child. A
seat harness can never take the place of the
caregiver.
3. Loading children: Supervision is important when
loading or unloading children. A step is provided in
the front of KinderVan for older children.
WARNING
cOverloading may cause the KinderVan to be
unsafe. If there are fewer children than seats,
distribute them for a balanced load.
4. Rotation of seat: Place seat unit in fully upright
position. Lift both latches under the seat and
rotate to desired location (see Figure 4).
Turn the seat inward, facing the other children;
outward, to see the world; forward like a school
bus; backward, facing the caregiver; or various
other configurations. Latches will automatically
lock into place when released.
