4 REPLACING THE POWER SUPPLY
Replacing the
Power Supply
The power supply monitors
power output on the startup
of your computer and
changes the volts of
alternating current (AC)
from the power line into
direct current (DC) for the
components of your
computer.
Introduction
Your Compaq Internet PC has an Easy Access panel. This
design makes accessing the internal parts easy. This document
describes how to remove and replace the power supply
(see Figure 1-1).
Figure 1-1
▲Caution: Do not open the power supply. The electronics inside
the power supply are not repairable by the end-user and are
usually not worth the expense of professional repair.

REPLACING THE POWER SUPPLY 5
Tools Needed
A Phillips screwdriver is needed to remove and replace the
power supply.
Warranty Statement
Compaq provides these detailed instructions to ensure your
safety and to keep your PC from being damaged. Following
these instructions also ensures that your PC remains
warranted by Compaq.
Your replacement part is warranted for the longer of 90 days
