1.0INTRODUCTION
This4X4MatrixHDMISWITCH SPLITTERbycat5e/6offersunprecedented
flexibilityand conveniencebyrouting high definition audio/video fromanyoffour
HDMIvideosourcestoanyof4displaysover HDMIcableor4remotedisplays
overinexpensive,standard CAT5e/6cable.It eliminatestheneed todisconnect
andreconnectsourcestoadisplayequippedwithone input.
Fourreceiversworkwiththe SwitchSplitterasafull functionalmodule.Full
High-ResolutionHDTVsignalsare supportedup toaresolution of1080p over
HDMIcable15moratamaximumdistanceof.40Mover twopiecesofCAT5e/6
cable.The4X4MatrixHDMISWITCH SPLITTERworks withHD-DVDplayers,
TiVosystems,HTPCs,and satelliteset-topboxesthatconnecttoan HDMI
display. Everysourceanddisplayisaccessibleat alltimesbyselectingitwithan
IRremoteor throughRS232 port.

receiversandmainunitover cat5e/6cable,and thenconnectoutputof
receiverstodisplays.(Note:HDMIandUTPofeachoutputcannotbe
connectedsimultaneously)
3) Connect the5.5V@4Apower supplytotheSwitchSplitter,and 5V@2Apower
supplytoeachreceiver.
Attention:Insert/Extract cablegently.
5.2Operation
1)The automaticconnection whensupplied withpower
Theavailableoutputswill automaticallyconnecttotheavailableinputs
according totheirsequencenumber.Meanwhile,theredundantavailableports
(inputoroutput)or unavailableportswillnotbeconnected.
Forexample:
1. If outputsA, B, Dareconnected tothree power-on TVsseparately,and the
four inputsareall haveitsownsourcedevices(work-onmode),then thepower-on
SwitchSplitterwillmakeaconnectionasfollow:
1→A2→B 3→D
(OutputCandinput4are not connected)
2.IfoutputsA,C,Dareconnectedtothreepower-onTVsseparately,and
onlythreeinputshaveitssourcedevices(work-onmode),thenthepower-on
SwitchSplitterwillmakeaconnectionasfollow:
1→A3→C
(Output B,outputD,input2andinput4arenotconnected)
2) Selectingsourcedevicesbybuttons
Fourbuttonsonthe SwitchSplitterareused toselectsourcedevicescircularly
forinputsA,B,C,and D.Onceyoupress thebutton,itwillselectnextavailable
sourcedevice.
4) SelectingsourcedevicesbyIRremote
1.Power button
The powerbuttonoftheIRremotecancontrolthepower ofthe Switch
Splitter.Pressing thisbutton,thepower-onunitwillbeturned off.If you
pressitagain,the unitwillbeturned on.
2.Otherbuttons
Depending on outputsA, B,C,D,the other buttonsoftheIRremotecan
be dividedintofourgroups.Eachgroup hasfivebuttons: ‘off—turnoff its
outputs. 1,2, 3, 4are usedtoselectinputport accordingly.
5) SelectingsourcedevicesbyRS232
①.Introduction ofRS232 remoteoperation:
RS232 remoteoperation ismainlybased onthe “super terminal”of
Windowsoperationsystem.Itsparameter shouldbe: ANSI4800 8-N-1-non

A. Connectthe switchsplittertothe COMof PCwithaRS232cable.
B. ChosetherightCOMwhenyousetting “superterminal”andthensetthe

Databit: 8
Paritybit:N
Stop bit: 1
Datastream:NON
C. Inputting yourinstruction.Theinstruction shouldbetwoor three letter, and
finishwith “Enter”button.
Pleaseinputnextinstructioninthreesecondsorthe”Overtimeinstruction”
will appear.
Theinputinstructionshouldbe right,oryouwillbe rejected withthe “wrong
instruction”
If the inputor outputthatyou choseisnotconnected todevicesor notin
power-on mode, “ineffectiveinstruction”willinformyou.
If yourinstructionisperformed,youcan seethe instructionof “successful
operation”.
③. Instruction inputmethod
A. Selectingsourcedevice
Sequence numberofoutput(A/B/C/D)+sequence numberoftheinput
(1/2/3/4) + Enter”
Forexample:IfyouwantdisplayBtoviewsource3,then you caninput “B3
“and finishwith “Enter”.
B.Turningoff anoutput
C+Sequencenumberoftheoutputthatyou wanttoturn off(A/B/C/D) +
Enter”
Forexample:If you wanttoturnoff outputB,then youcan inputCB, and
finishwith “Enter”.
C.Turningoff the SwitchSplitter:
OFF+ Enter”
D.Turning onthe SwitchSplitter:
ON+ Enter”
E.Inquiry:
QS+ Enter”
Thisorderenablesyou knowwhichinputandoutputare availableand the
connectionsofinputandoutput.
