Leggere attentamente prima di iniziare e rispettare le istruzioni riportate nel manuale. Conservare il presente
manuale per l’utilizzo.
Il marchio CE attesta che il sensore pioggia è conforme ai requisiti essenziali di sicurezza e di salute previste
dalle direttive Europee di prodotto. Il marchio CE è individuabile tramite apposita targhetta adesiva applicata
esternamente il prodotto, in cui sono indicati alcuni dei dati presenti nella tabella a seguire:

Il sensore è composto essenzialmente da una superficie sensibile, in grado di rilevare la presenza di acqua.
Per evitare accumuli di condensa e per facilitare l’evaporazione, tale superficie viene riscaldata tramite una
resistenza integrata che si attiva all’occorrenza. Si deve quindi considerare normale un riscaldamento della
superficie sensibile. Lo stato del sensore viene monitorato tramite l’attivazione di due led:

Il contatto d’uscita viene azionato, in base a quanto rilevato dal sensore, secondo una delle modalità selezio-
nate dall’utente tramite i dip switch SW1:

MONOSTABILE: il sensore viene fornito di default in questa modalità. Il contatto d’uscita viene chiuso all’inizio
della precipitazione e viene aperto quando la superficie del sensore è asciutta.
TEMP. 1 SEC.: il contatto d’uscita viene chiuso all’inizio della precipitazione e resta chiuso per 1 secondo.
Questa modalità può essere ad esempio utilizzata quando si collega il sensore pioggia ad un dispositivo che
necessita solamente di un impulso di comando.
TEMP. 3 MIN.: il contatto d’uscita viene chiuso all’inizio della precipitazione e resta chiuso per 3 minuti. Questa
modalità può essere ad esempio utilizzata quando si collega il sensore pioggia ad un dispositivo che necessita
di un impulso di comando temporaneo.
TEMP. 12 ORE: il contatto d’uscita viene chiuso all’inizio della precipitazione e resta chiuso per 12 ore dal
momento in cui la precipitazione termina. Questa modalità può essere ad esempio utilizzata quando si collega
il sensore pioggia ad un dispositivo per irrigazione automatizzato.

IMPORTANTE PER L’INSTALLATORE
- Il Pluviometro deve essere collegato permanentemente alla rete di alimentazione e non presenta nessun
tipo di dispositivo di sezionamento della linea elettrica 230 Vac, sarà quindi cura dell’installatore prevedere
nell’impianto un dispositivo di sezionamento. E’ necessario installare un interruttore omnipolare con ca-
tegoria III di sovratensione. Esso deve essere posizionato in modo da essere protetto contro le richiusure
accidentali.
- Per i collegamenti (alimentazione e contatto di uscita) si raccomanda di utilizzare cavi flessibili sotto guai-
na isolante in policloroprene di tipo armonizzato (H05RN-F) con sezione minima dei conduttori pari a 0,75
mm2.
- Il fissaggio dei cavi di collegamento, deve essere garantito tramite l’assemblaggio dei serracavo fornito
all’interno del prodotto.
- Il sensore nel momento dell’installazione deve essere maneggiato con cautela assicurandosi di aver assem-
blato correttamente le parti che lo compongono. Prestare attenzione in particolare al piastrino ceramico ed al
flat di collegamento. Nella richiusura della scatola, quest’ultimo deve ripiegarsi ordinatamente su sé stesso.
- È molto importante stabilire l’esatta ubicazione in modo che il prodotto sia esposto alle precipitazioni.
- Fissare il dispositivo a muro utilizzando le viti ed i tasselli forniti insieme al prodotto, nella posizione cor-
retta (vedi figure 1-2, pagg. 6).
- Prestare attenzione che il sensore rimanga inclinato a circa 45 gradi (Zona di fissaggio in alto, estremità
tonda della scatola in basso).
- Non dipingere o verniciare la superficie sensibile del sensore.
- La sporcizia che si accumula sulla superficie del sensore ne limita la sensibilità: si consiglia, pertanto, di
pulirlo una o due volte l’anno con un panno umido, dopo aver tolto alimentazione all’automazione.
- Tutte le operazioni che richiedono l’apertura dell’ involucro (installazione, programmazione, riparazione
ecc.) devono essere eseguite esclusivamente da personale esperto.
- Il pluviometro non è provvisto di un dispositivo di sezionamento. Sarà quindi l'installatore responsabile
dell'installazione di tale dispositivo.
IMPORTANTE PER L'UTENTE
- Il dispositivo non deve essere utilizzato da bambini o da persone con ridotte capacità psico-fisiche, alme-
no che non siano supervisionati o istruiti sul funzionamento e le modalità di utilizzo.
- Non consentire ai bambini di giocare con il dispositivo e tenere lontano dalla loro portata i radiocomandi.
- ATTENZIONE: conservare questo manuale d’istruzioni e rispettare le importanti prescrizioni di sicurezza
in esso contenute. Il non rispetto delle prescrizioni potrebbe provocare danni e gravi incidenti.
- Esaminare frequentemente l’impianto per rilevare eventuali segni di danneggiamento. Non utilizzare il
dispositivo se è necessario un intervento di riparazione.
- In caso di necessaria sostituzione dei cavi di collegamento rivolgersi esclusivamente a personale esper-
to e qualificato.
ATTENZIONE: il sensore pioggia inizia a funzionare a regime dopo un minuto circa dalla connessione alla rete.
Questo tempo è necessario per consentire al sensore di andare in temperatura.

Il sensore pioggia è costituito da materiali inquinanti. Deve quindi essere smaltito utilizzando gli opportuni
accorgimenti secondo le Norme eco-ambientali vigenti (Fratelli Comunello SPA raccomanda lo smaltimento
per mezzo della raccolta differenziata).

6. GARANZIA
a) La presente garanzia nei rapporti commerciali o in caso di vendita di beni per uso professionale è
limitata alla riparazione o sostituzione del pezzo del Prodotto riconosciuto da FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA
quale difettoso mediante Prodotti rigenerati equivalenti (di seguito “Garanzia Convenzionale”), non risulta
compresa nella garanzia il costo necessario per le attività di riparazione e sostituzione del materiale (a titolo
esemplificativo costi di manodopera, noleggio materiali, etc).
b) E’ esclusa l’applicazione della disciplina dettata dagli articoli 1490-1495 del Codice Civile.
c) FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA garantisce il funzionamento dei Prodotti nei limiti indicati al superiore punto
sub a). Salvo diverso accordo, la validità della Garanzia Convenzionale è di 36 (trentasei) mesi dalla data di
produzione, rilevabile sui Prodotti. La Garanzia risulterà efficace e vincolante per COMUNELLO solo se il
prodotto verrà correttamente montato e manutentato in conformità alle regole di installazione e di sicurezza
indicate nella documentazione fornita da COMUNELLO o comunque rinvenibile sul sito http://www.comunello.
com/it/corporate/condizioni-generali/
d) La garanzia non comprende: avarie o danni causati dal trasporto; avarie o danni causati da vizi dell’impianto
elettrico presente presso l’acquirente il prodotto e/o da trascuratezza, negligenza, inadeguatezza, uso
anomalo di tale impianto; avarie o danni dovuti a manomissioni poste in essere da parte di personale non
autorizzato o conseguenti allo scorretto uso/installazione (a questo proposito, si consiglia una manutenzione
del sistema almeno ogni sei mesi) o all’impiego di pezzi di ricambio non originali; difetti causati da agenti
chimici e/o fenomeni atmosferici. La garanzia non comprende il costo per materiale di consumo, in ogni
caso COMUNELLO matura il credito per l’intervento eseguito presso il cliente, laddove quest’ultimo si riveli
inutile poiché non risultava operante la garanzia o perché il cliente aveva utilizzato il prodotto COMUNELLO in
modo negligente, imprudente od imperito, tale per cui il corretto utilizzo del prodotto avrebbe potuto evitare
l’installazione.
e) Termini attuativi: salvo diverso accordo, il diritto alla Garanzia Convenzionale si esercita esibendo copia del
documento di acquisto (fattura fiscale) a COMUNELLO. Il Cliente deve denunciare il difetto a COMUNELLO
entro il termine di decadenza di 30 (trenta) giorni dalla scoperta.
L’azione deve essere esercitata entro il termine di prescrizione di 6 (sei) mesi dalla scoperta. I pezzi dei
Prodotti per i quali viene richiesta l’attivazione della Garanzia Convenzionale devono essere spediti dal Cliente
presso FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA, Via Cassola 64, 36027 Rosà (VI) Italia.

f) Il Cliente non potrà richiedere il risarcimento di danni indiretti, mancati profitti, perdita di produzione
ed in ogni caso non potrà pretendere a titolo di risarcimento somme superiori al valore dei componenti o
dei Prodotti forniti. Tutte le spese per il trasporto dei Prodotti da riparare o riparati, anche se coperti dalla
Garanzia Convenzionale, sono a carico del Cliente.
g) Nessun intervento esterno effettuato dal personale tecnico di COMUNELLO è coperto dalla Garanzia
Convenzionale.
h) Modifiche specifiche delle condizioni della Garanzia Convenzionale qui descritte possono essere definite
dalle parti nei propri contratti commerciali.
i) In caso di controversia legale di qualsiasi natura è applicabile il diritto italiano ed è competente il Foro di
Vicenza.

Please read carefully and follow the instructions detailed in this manual. Keep the manual for use and future
maintenance.
The CE mark certifies that the anemometer conforms to the essential health and safety requirements laid
down by European product directives. The CE mark can be identified by the relevant adhesive label applied to
the outside of the product, on which are shown some of the data shown in the following table:

The sensor essentially consists of a sensitive surface which is able to detect the presence of water. In order to
prevent condensation from building up and to facilitate evaporation, this surface is heated using an integrated
heating element which is activated as necessary. The heating of the sensitive surface should therefore be
considered normal. The condition of the sensor is monitored through the activation of two LEDs:

The output contact is activated depending on the information detected by the sensor, in accordance with one
of the modes selected by the user though the SW1 dip switch:

MONOSTABLE: the sensor is supplied in this mode by default. The output contact is closed when rain begins
to fall and is opened when the surface of the sensor is dry.
TIME 1 SEC.: the output contact is closed when it begins to rain and remains closed for 1 second. This mode
may be used, for example, when the rain sensor is connected to a device which only requires a command
message.
TIME 3 MIN.: the output contact is closed when it begins to rain and remains closed for 3 minutes. This
mode may be used, for example, when the rain sensor is connected to a device which requires a temporary
command message.
TIME 12 HOURS: the output contact is closed when it begins to rain and remains closed for 12 hours from
the moment at which the rain started to fall. This mode may be used, for example, when the rain sensor is
connected to an automated irrigation device.

FOR THE INSTALLER – IMPORTANT
- The New Rain gauge must be permanently connected to the power supply network and is not equipped
with any type of 230 Vac electric line sectioning device. The installer is responsible for installing a sectio-
ning device in the system. An omnipolar switch with overheating category III must be installed. It must be
positioned in such a way that it is protected against accidental closures.
- For connections (power supply and outlet contact) we recommend the use of flexible wires with an insula-
ting sheath in harmonised polychloroprene (H05RN-F). The wires should have a minimum cross-section
of 0.75 mm2.
- Fasten the connection cables using the cable clamp supplied with the product kit.
- Handle the sensor with care during the assembly process and make sure that all components are properly
assembled. Pay particular attention to the ceramic plate and the flat connection cable. When closing the
box again, it must fold back on itself normally.
- It is very important to establish an exact location so that the product is exposed to rain.
- Fix the device to the wall using the screws and rawlplugs supplied with the product, in the correct position
(see figures 1-2, page 6).
- Make sure that the sensor remains tilted at approximately 45 degrees (Fixing area at the top, round end of
the box at the bottom).
- Do not paint or varnish the sensitive surface of the sensor.
- The dirt which accumulates on the surface of the sensor restricts its sensitivity: we therefore recommend
that it is cleaned once or twice a year using a damp cloth, after the electricity supply has been disconnected.
- All operations requiring the opening of the casing (such as installation, programming and repair, etc.)
must be carried out by skilled professionals only.
- Rain sensor
FOR THE USER - IMPORTANT
- The device should not be used by children or by individuals with reduced physical or psychological abili-
ties unless supervision is provided or instruction given on how to operate it.
- Do not let children play with the device; keep radio controls out of their reach.
- CAUTION: Keep this instruction manual in a safe place and adhere to the important safety instructions con-
tained within it. Non-adherence to these instructions may lead to property damage and serious accidents.
- Examine the system frequently to check for any signs of damage. Do not use the device if it needs to be repaired.
- If the connection wires have to be replaced, please contact a qualified technician only.
4. INSTALLATION
CAUTION: the rain sensor begins to operate normally approximately one minute after it has been connected to
the electricity network. This period of time enables the sensor to reach the required temperature.

The anemometer contain pollutant elements, must be disposed of in accordance with environmental
regulations (Fratelli Comunello S.p.A. advise to use a specific disposal system).
5. PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
6. GUARANTEE
a) In business relationships or in case of products sold for professional use, this warranty is limited to the
repair or replacement of product parts that FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA acknowledges as defective, through
equivalent re-manufactured Products (the "Conventional Warranty"); the warranty does not include the costs
necessary for repairing or replacing the material (e.g. labour costs, rental of equipment etc).
b) The provisions contained in articles 1490 to 1495 of the Italian Civil Code shall not apply.
c) FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA warrants the proper operation of the products within the limits indicated
in a) above. Unless otherwise agreed, the validity of the Conventional Warranty is 36 (thirty-six) months
from the production date, which can be found on the products. The Warranty shall be effective and binding
on COMUNELLO only if the product has been correctly installed and maintained in accordance with the
installation and safety rules set out in the documentation provided by COMUNELLO or otherwise available on
the website http://www.comunello.com/corporate/ general_conditions_sales/
d) The warranty does not cover: failures or damage caused by transport; failures or damage caused by defects
in the electrical system of the buyer and/or by carelessness, negligence, inadequate or abnormal use of such
system; failure or damage due to tampering carried out by unauthorized personnel or due to incorrect use
/ installation (in this regard, system maintenance at least every six months is recommended) or the use of
non-original spare parts; defects caused by chemical agents and/or atmospheric phenomena. The warranty
does not cover the cost of consumables; in any event, COMUNELLO shall be entitled to a consideration for the
work performed at the Customer, where such work proves useless as the warranty did not apply or because
the customer had used the Comunello product in a negligent, reckless or incompetent manner, such that the
proper use of the product could have avoided the work.
e) Implementation terms: unless otherwise agreed, the right to the Conventional Warranty is exercised
by showing a copy of the purchase document (invoice) to COMUNELLO. Any defect must be notified to
COMUNELLO within the time limit of thirty (30) days from detection of the defect.
The action must be exercised within the limitation period of 6 (six) months from detection of the defect. The
Product parts for which the Customer requests application of the Conventional Warranty must be returned by
the Customer to FRATELLI COMUNELLO SPA, Via Cassola 64, 36027 Rosà (VI) Italy.

f) The Customer cannot claim compensation for indirect damage, loss of profits, loss of production and in
any case it cannot claim compensation for an amount that exceeds the value of the supplied components or
products. All transport costs for Products that have been repaired or to be repaired, although covered by the
Conventional Warranty, shall be charged to the Customer.
g) No external work carried out by Comunello technical staff is covered by the Conventional Warranty.
h) Specific amendments to the Conventional Warranty conditions described herein can be defined by the
parties in their commercial contracts.
i) The Court of Vicenza (Italy) shall be the place of jurisdiction for any dispute which will be settled according
to the Italian laws.

pouvoir la consulter lors des utilisations et opérations d'entretien futures.
Le marquage CE atteste que l'anemometre est conforme aux prescriptions essentielles de sécurité et de santé
prévues par les directives Européennes de produit. Le marquage CE se trouve sur l'étiquette autocollante
apposée à l'extérieur du produit et reporte les données principales indiquées dans le tableau suivant:

Le capteur est principalement formé d’une surface sensible en mesure de détecter la présence d’eau. Pour
éviter toute accumulation d'eau de condensation et faciliter son évaporation, cette surface est réchauffée par
une résistance intégrée qui s’active en cas de besoin. Un réchauffement de la surface sensible est donc tout
à fait normal. L’état du capteur est contrôlé par l’activation de deux leds:

MONOSTABLE: le capteur est fourni dans cette modalité par défaut. Le contact de sortie se ferme au début de
la précipitation et s’ouvre quand la surface du capteur est sèche.
TEMPS 1 SEC.: le contact de sortie se ferme au début de la précipitation et reste fermé pendant 1 seconde.
Cette modalité est par exemple utilisable quand le capteur pluie est raccordé à un dispositif qui n’a besoin
que d’une impulsion de commande.

Cette modalité est par exemple utilisable quand le capteur pluie est raccordé à un dispositif qui a besoin
d’une impulsion de commande temporaire.
TEMPS 12 HEURES: le contact de sortie se ferme au début de la précipitation et reste fermé pendant 12
heures à partir du moment où la précipitation cesse. Cette modalité est par exemple utilisable en cas de
raccordement du capteur de pluie à un dispositif d’arrosage automatisé.
