USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the dryer must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the brush
attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer
surface of the dryer should be wiped clean
with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage
or personal injury. If the unit or the heat turns
off, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and short. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use im-
mediately if damage is visible or unit stops
or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not
operate properly, return it for repair to an
authorized Conair service representative
only. No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
STORAGE - Important
When not in use, your dryer should be discon-
nected, allowed to cool and stored in a safe,
dry location, out of reach of children. Do not
wrap line cord around dryer. Allow the cord
to hang or lie loose and straight at the point
of entry into the dryer.
LIMITED THREE YEAR WARRANTY
Conair will repair or replace (at our option)
your unit free of charge for 36 months from
the date of purchase if the appliance is defec-
tive in workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return
the defective product to the service centre
listed below, together with your purchase
receipt and $7.50 for postage and handling.
In the absence of a purchase receipt, the war-
ranty period shall be 36 months from the date
of manufacture.

Un électricien pourra vous aider à décider du
type qui convient le mieux – un dispositif
portatif qui se branche dans la prise de cou-

L’électricité et l’eau ne font pas
bon ménage. Si votre sèche-
cheveux devrait faire défaut
alors qu’il est branché, le choc
électrique pourrait vous tuer... même si l’appareil
est éteint. Un fusible ou un disjoncteur régulier
ne vous protège pas dans pareil cas. Le dis-
joncteur différentiel vous protégera beaucoup
mieux.
Un disjoncteur différentiel peut vous sauver

bien la chandelle. Ne tardez pas. Installez-
en un dès maintenant!
*Un disjoncteur différentiel est un dispositif

tite fuite de courant électrique se produit.
ENTRETIEN PAR
L’UTILISATEUR
Le sèche-cheveux ne demande pratiquement
aucun entretien. Pour assurer un bon fonc-
tionnement, le sèche-cheveux doit être tenu
propre. Si vous devez le nettoyer, débranchez-
le, puis enlevez la poussière ou les peluches
des évents avec la petite brosse d’un aspirateur.
La surface extérieure du sèche-cheveux ne
devrait qu’être essuyée avec un linge hu-
mide.
Les évents obstrués feront surchauffer le
sèche-cheveux S’il surchauffe, un dispositif
de sécurité éteindra automatiquement le
sèche-cheveux ou la chaleur pour éviter tout
dommage ou blessure. Si cela se produit,
débrancher le cordon et laisser le sèche-ch-
eveux refroidir 10 à 15 minutes avant de le
réutiliser. S’assurer que les évents sont bien
propres.
MISE EN GARDE
Ne JAMAIS tirer, tordre ni plier fortement le
cordon. Ne jamais enrouler le cordon autour
du sèche-cheveux. On risque de l’endommager
au point d’entrée dans le sèche-cheveux, oc-
casionnant ainsi un bris ou un court-circuit.
Cesser d’utiliser le sèche-cheveux s’il fonc-
tionne mal ou de façon intermittente.Si le
cordon ou le sèche-cheveux est endom-
magé ou ne fonctionne pas correctement,
le renvoyer au service agréé Conair où on
le réparera. Le consommateur ne devrait
jamais tenter de le réparer lui-même.
RANGEMENT - Important
Quand on ne l’utilise pas, débrancher le sèche-
cheveux et le ranger en lieu sûr et sec, hors
de la portée des enfants. Ne pas enrouler le
cordon autour du sèche-cheveux. Le laisser
pendre ou reposer lâchement, bien droit au
point de sortie du sèche-cheveux.

This appliance is intended for household
use only. Use on Alternating Current (60
hertz) only. Standard Dryers are designed
to operate at 110 to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug will fit in a polarized out-
let only one way. If the plug does not fit
fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
Do not attempt to defeat this safety fea-
ture.
IMPORTANT

Use of this dryer on the same circuit or fuse
with other electrical products or appliances
may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow a
15 amp fuse. NEVER replace the fuse with
one rated higher than the capacity of the
circuit. Doing so could result in an electri-
cal fire.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut
that’s well maintained. Always treat hair
right with superior quality shampoos, con-
ditioners, and finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel dry
hair to remove excess moisture. Using the
dryer along with your styling brush, start
at a lower setting and direct hot air through
a section of hair at a time. Move dryer
steadily across each section so that the hot
air passes through hair. Direct air flow at
hair not scalp. Clouds of negatively charged
ions will help to reduce static electricity,
control frizzy flyaways and contribute to
your hair’s shine.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstruct-
ed and free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid over drying, do not concentrate
heat on any one section for any length of
time. Keep dryer moving as you style.
4. For quick touch ups, between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before
styling with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls
and waves, dry hair almost completely on
a warmer temperature setting, then finish
styling with Cool Shot feature to close hair
shaft and lock in style.

MODE D'EMPLOI
Cet appareil ne convient qu'à l'usage mé-
nager. Ne l'utiliser qu'avec un courant
alternatif (60 Hz). Les sèche-cheveux or-
dinaires sont conçus pour un secteur de
110 à 125 VCA. Cet appareil est muni d'une
fiche polarisée (une lame est plus large
que l'autre). Par sécurité, la fiche ne con-
vient que d'une façon dans une prise po-
larisée. Si la fiche ne s'enfonce pas com-
plètement, inversez-la. Si elle ne convient
toujours pas, consultez un maître-élec-
tricien. Ne tentez pas de contrer cette
mesure de sécurité.
IMPORTANT
UTILISATION D'UN APPAREIL DE

Utiliser ce sèche-cheveux sur le même
circuit ou le même fusible que d'autres
produits ou appareils électriques peut
déclencher un disjoncteur 15 A ou faire
griller un fusible 15 A. Ne remplacez JA-

COIFFURE
Les meilleures coiffures commencent par
une bonne coupe bien entretenue. Traitez
toujours vos cheveux avec des shampoo-
ings, des revitalisants et des produits de
coiffure de qualité supérieure
PRINCIPES DE BASE
1. Faire un shampooing et revitaliser les
cheveux avec les produits de son choix.
Éponger avec une serviette pour enlever
l’excédent d’humidité. Utilisant le sèche-
cheveux avec une brosse de coiffure, com-
mencez par un réglage faible et dirigez
l'air chaud à travers chaque section de
cheveux. Déplacez le sèche-cheveux con-
stamment sur chaque section pour faire
passer l'air chaud à travers les cheveux.
Dirigez le courant d'air sur les cheveux,
pas le cuir chevelu. Des nuages d'ions
négatifs aideront à réduire l'électrostatique,
à contrôler les persils et à contribuer au
lustre des cheveux.
2. Gardez les évents du sèche-cheveux
libres et exempts de cheveux, pendant le
séchage.
3. Déplacez le sèche-cheveux constam-
ment, évitant de concentrer le jet d'air
chaud sur une partie d'une section. Vous
éviterez ainsi de sur-sécher les cheveux.
4. Pour une retouche rapide entre sham-
pooings, humidifier les cheveux avant de
les coiffer avec le sèche-cheveux.
5. Quand vous utilisez le sèche-cheveux
pour friser ou onduler, séchez les cheveux
presque entièrement à chaleur faible puis
finissez avec le jet d’air frais pour figer le
cuticule et mettre la coiffure en pli.

Your best looks begin with a good haircut
that’s well maintained. Always treat hair
right with superior quality shampoos, con-
ditioners, and finishing products.
DRYING BASICS
1. Shampoo and condition hair with products
of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel dry
hair to remove excess moisture. Using the
dryer along with your styling brush, start
at a lower setting and direct hot air through
a section of hair at a time. Move dryer
steadily across each section so that the hot
air passes through hair. Direct air flow at
hair not scalp. Clouds of negatively charged
ions will help to reduce static electricity,
control frizzy flyaways and contribute to
your hair’s shine.
2. Keep dryer’s air intake vents unobstruct-
ed and free from hair while drying.
3. To avoid over drying, do not concentrate
heat on any one section for any length of
time. Keep dryer moving as you style.
4. For quick touch ups, between shampoos,
dampen hair with a mist of water before
styling with the dryer.
5. When using your dryer to create curls
and waves, dry hair almost completely on
a warmer temperature setting, then finish
styling with Cool Shot feature to close hair
shaft and lock in style.

MODE D'EMPLOI
Cet appareil ne convient qu'à l'usage mé-
nager. Ne l'utiliser qu'avec un courant
alternatif (60 Hz). Les sèche-cheveux or-
dinaires sont conçus pour un secteur de
110 à 125 VCA. Cet appareil est muni d'une
fiche polarisée (une lame est plus large
que l'autre). Par sécurité, la fiche ne con-
vient que d'une façon dans une prise po-
larisée. Si la fiche ne s'enfonce pas com-
plètement, inversez-la. Si elle ne convient
toujours pas, consultez un maître-élec-
tricien. Ne tentez pas de contrer cette
mesure de sécurité.

toujours vos cheveux avec des shampoo-
ings, des revitalisants et des produits de
coiffure de qualité supérieure
PRINCIPES DE BASE
1. Faire un shampooing et revitaliser les
cheveux avec les produits de son choix.
Éponger avec une serviette pour enlever
l’excédent d’humidité. Utilisant le sèche-
cheveux avec une brosse de coiffure, com-
mencez par un réglage faible et dirigez
l'air chaud à travers chaque section de
cheveux. Déplacez le sèche-cheveux con-
stamment sur chaque section pour faire
passer l'air chaud à travers les cheveux.
Dirigez le courant d'air sur les cheveux,
pas le cuir chevelu. Des nuages d'ions
négatifs aideront à réduire l'électrostatique,
à contrôler les persils et à contribuer au
lustre des cheveux.
2. Gardez les évents du sèche-cheveux
libres et exempts de cheveux, pendant le
séchage.
3. Déplacez le sèche-cheveux constam-
ment, évitant de concentrer le jet d'air
chaud sur une partie d'une section. Vous
éviterez ainsi de sur-sécher les cheveux.
4. Pour une retouche rapide entre sham-
pooings, humidifier les cheveux avant de
les coiffer avec le sèche-cheveux.
5. Quand vous utilisez le sèche-cheveux
pour friser ou onduler, séchez les cheveux
presque entièrement à chaleur faible puis
finissez avec le jet d’air frais pour figer le
cuticule et mettre la coiffure en pli.

USER MAINTENANCE
Your dryer is virtually maintenance free. No
lubrication is needed. For proper operating
performance, the dryer must be kept clean.
When cleaning is needed, unplug the cord,
allow to cool and clean dust and lint from air
intake openings with a small brush or the brush
attachment of a vacuum cleaner. The outer
surface of the dryer should be wiped clean
with a cloth only.
Blocked or clogged air intake vents will
cause the dryer to overheat. If overheating
occurs, an automatic safety device will shut
the dryer or the heat off to prevent damage
or personal injury. If the unit or the heat turns
off, unplug the cord and allow the dryer to
cool for 10 to 15 minutes before restarting.
Make sure the air vents are clean.
CAUTION
NEVER allow the power supply cord to be
pulled, twisted, or severely bent. Never wrap
the cord tightly around the dryer. Damage will
occur at the high flex point of entry into the
dryer, causing it to rupture and short. Inspect
the cord frequently for damage. Stop use im-
mediately if damage is visible or unit stops
or operates intermittently.
If the cord or dryer is damaged or does not
operate properly, return it for repair to an
authorized Conair service representative
only. No repairs should be attempted by the
consumer.
STORAGE - Important
When not in use, your dryer should be discon-
nected, allowed to cool and stored in a safe,
dry location, out of reach of children. Do not
wrap line cord around dryer. Allow the cord
to hang or lie loose and straight at the point
of entry into the dryer.

Un électricien pourra vous aider à décider du
type qui convient le mieux – un dispositif

ENTRETIEN PAR
L’UTILISATEUR
Le sèche-cheveux ne demande pratiquement
aucun entretien. Pour assurer un bon fonc-
tionnement, le sèche-cheveux doit être tenu
propre. Si vous devez le nettoyer, débranchez-
le, puis enlevez la poussière ou les peluches
des évents avec la petite brosse d’un aspirateur.
La surface extérieure du sèche-cheveux ne
devrait qu’être essuyée avec un linge hu-
mide.
Les évents obstrués feront surchauffer le
sèche-cheveux S’il surchauffe, un dispositif
de sécurité éteindra automatiquement le
sèche-cheveux ou la chaleur pour éviter tout
dommage ou blessure. Si cela se produit,
débrancher le cordon et laisser le sèche-ch-
eveux refroidir 10 à 15 minutes avant de le
réutiliser. S’assurer que les évents sont bien
propres.
MISE EN GARDE
Ne JAMAIS tirer, tordre ni plier fortement le
cordon. Ne jamais enrouler le cordon autour
du sèche-cheveux. On risque de l’endommager
au point d’entrée dans le sèche-cheveux, oc-
casionnant ainsi un bris ou un court-circuit.
Cesser d’utiliser le sèche-cheveux s’il fonc-
tionne mal ou de façon intermittente.Si le
cordon ou le sèche-cheveux est endom-
