Snelstart handleiding

In de bijgaande Snelstart handleiding wordt stap voor stap uitgelegd hoe u de Conceptronic
USB VoIP Telefoon installeert op uw computer.

Bij software/drivers installatie: Het is mogelijk dat onderstaande installatie iets afwijkt van
de installatie op uw computer. Dit is afhankelijk van de Windows versie die u gebruikt.

2. Uitleg van de CPHONELU
Hieronder kunt u een uitleg vinden van de opties op de CPHONELU:

3. Software installatie
De gebundelde “Conceptronic Skype™ Portal” applicatie functioneert als brug
tussen de USB VoIP Telefoon en Skype™. Voordat u de USB VoIP Telefoon en de
gebundelde applicatie kunt gebruiken dient u Skype™ geïnstalleerd te hebben
op uw computer.
Skype™ kan gedownload worden op http://www.skype.com. U kunt ook op de
link “Visit Skype™ Website” in het Autorun Menu van de CD-ROM klikken.
Als Skype™ is geinstalleerd kunt u doorgaan met de installatie van de
“Conceptronic Skype™ Portal”
Plaats de Product CD-ROM in uw CD-ROM speler. Het CPHONELU Menu zal
automatisch getoond worden.
Als het menu niet verschijnt kunt u Windows Verkenner gebruiken om naar de
CD-ROM te navigeren en het bestand “Autorun.exe” uit te voeren.
1. Selecteer de optie “Install Conceptronic Skype™ Portal” in het Menu.
Let op: Installeer eerst de software op uw computer voordat u de USB VoIP
Telefoon op uw computer aansluit!

2. De installatie zal gestart worden. Klik op “Volgende” om door te gaan.
3. Wijzig de installatie doelmap met de knop “Bladeren” of laat deze
standaard. Klik op “Volgende” om door te gaan.

4. Wijzig de Start Menu doelmap of laat deze standaard. Klik op “Volgende”
om door te gaan.
5. Er zal een samenvatting van de installatie-opties getoond worden. Klik op
“Install” om de installatie voort te zetten.

6. De software zal geïnstalleerd worden. Wacht tot de installatie voltooid is
en klik vervolgens op “Voltooien” om de installatie te beëindigen.
4. De CPHONELU aansluiten op uw computer
Als de installatie voltooid is en de optie “Run Skype Portal.exe” geselecteerd
was zal de applicatie automatisch starten.
Als de applicatie niet gestart is kunt u deze starten via de
snelkoppeling in het Start Menu of via de snelkoppeling
op uw bureaublad (A):
Er zal een geel Conceptronic icoon (B) getoond worden in
het systeemvak:
U kunt nu de USB kabel op de CPHONELU en op een vrije USB poort op uw
computer aansluiten. De USB VoIP Telefoon zal automatisch geïnstalleerd
worden.

Tijdens de installatie van de CPHONELU zal de volgende
informatie op het scherm van de CPHONELU getoond
worden:
Als de USB VoIP Telefoon is geïnstalleerd zal de Skype™ Portal contact zoeken
met Skype™. De volgende mededeling zal op uw scherm verschijnen:
Selecteer de optie “Dit programma mag altijd Skype gebruiken” en klik op
“OK”.
De Skype™ Portal zal de CPHONELU initialiseren. De
CPHONELU zal een beltoon laten horen en de volgende
informatie op zijn scherm tonen:
De installatiestappen voor de CPHONELU zijn nu voltooid.

5. De Windows & Skype™ geluidsinstellingen wijzigen
5.1 De Windows geluidsinstellingen wijzigen via de Skype™ Portal
Als de CPHONELU is geïnstalleerd op uw computer worden de Windows
geluidsinstellingen automatisch gewijzigd naar de CPHONELU.
Dit betekend dat al het geluid binnen Windows (zoals muziek, etc.) afgespeeld
wordt via de CPHONELU. U kunt deze instellingen eenvoudig terugzetten naar
uw standaard geluidskaart via de Skype™ Portal applicatie.
1. Klik met de rechtermuisknop op het Skype™ Portal systeemvak icon en
selecteer de optie “Audio Device Settings”.
2. Zet de opties “Speaker” en “Microphone” terug naar de standaard
geluidskaart en klik op “OK” om de instellingen op te slaan.
(In dit voorbeeld is een Realtek geluidskaart als standaard geluidskaart getoond. Uw
computer kan uitgerust zijn met een ander merk of type geluidskaart).
De Windows geluidsinstellingen zijn nu ingesteld op de standaard geluidskaart.

5.2 De Skype™ geluidsinstellingen wijzigen
Als de standaard Windows geluidsinstellingen hersteld zijn dient u de Skype™
geluidsinstellingen te controleren (en indien nodig te wijzigen).
1. Open de Skype™ Applicatie.
2. Selecteer “Acties”, “Instellingen” in het Skype™ menu.
3. Selecteer de optie “Audioapparaten” aan de linkerkant van de opties.
4. Wijzig de instellingen voor Inkomend Geluid, Uitgaand geluid en Gaat
over naar “CPHONELU AUDIO”.
5. Klik op “OK” om de aangepaste geluidsinstellingen op te slaan en terug te
keren naar Skype™.
De geluidsinstellingen voor Skype™ zijn nu geconfigureerd voor de CPHONELU.

6. Een testgesprek via Skype™ maken
Door een testgesprek te maken kunt u de geluidsinstellingen voor Skype™
controleren. Om de instellingen te controleren kunt u 1 van uw
contactpersonen in uw Skype™ lijst bellen of bellen met Skype™
testgesprekken door “echo123” in te voeren binnen Skype™ en door op de
groene “bel”-knop te klikken.
7. Scherm-opties van de CPHONELU
Als de CPHONELU is aangesloten op uw computer maar niet actief wordt
gebruikt zal “USB Phone” op het scherm van de CPHONELU getoond worden.
Door op de linker pijl van de bedieningsknop te drukken kunt u uw Skype™
contactpersonen tonen op het scherm van de CPHONELU. Het scherm zal eerst
de Online contactpersonen tonen, gevolgd door de Offline contactpersonen.
Als u alleen de Online contactpersonen wilt zien dient u nogmaals op de linker
pijl van de bedieningsknop te drukken.
Druk op de “Ophangen” knop om terug te keren naar het stand-by scherm.
Als op de rechter pijl van de bedieningsknop gedrukt wordt kunt u de
volgende informatie tonen op het scherm van de CPHONELU:
“Gemiste oproepen” ( ), “Ontvangen Oproepen” ( ) o “Gemaakte
oproepen” ( ).
Druk op de “Ophangen” knop om terug te keren naar het stand-by scherm.
Uw CPHONELU is nu gereed voor gebruik!

The Software installation as described below, may be slightly different from the
installation on your computer. This depends on the Windows version you are using.

2. The CPHONELU Explained
Below you will find an explanation of the buttons of the CPHONELU:

3. Software installation
The bundled application “Conceptronic Skype™ Portal” interacts between the
USB VoIP Phone and Skype™. Before you can use the USB VoIP Phone and the
bundled application, you need to have Skype™ installed on your computer.
You can download the Skype™ application on http://www.skype.com, or click
the “Visit Skype™ Website” in the Autorun Menu of the Product CD-ROM.
When Skype™ is installed, you can continue the installation of the
“Conceptronic Skype™ Portal”.
Insert the Product CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive. The CPHONELU Menu should
appear automatically.
If the Menu does not appear, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the CD-ROM
and execute “Autorun.exe”.
1. Select the option “Install Conceptronic Skype™ Portal” in the Autorun
Menu.
Note: First install the software before you connect the USB VoIP Phone
to your computer!

2. The Setup Wizard will be started. Click “Next” to continue.
3. Change the installation destination with the “Browse” button, or keep it
default. Click “Next” to continue.

4. Change the Start Menu destination, or keep it default. Click “Next” to
continue.
5. A summary of the installation options will be shown on your display. Click
“Install” to proceed the installation process.

6. The software will be installed. Please wait for the completion of the
installation and click “Finish” to close the Setup Wizard.
4. Connecting the CPHONELU to your computer
When the installation is finished, the application will automatically start if the
option “Run Skype Portal.exe” is selected at the completion of the Setup
Wizard.
If the application is not started, you can start it with the
shortcut in your Start Menu or with the Desktop Icon (A):
You will notice the Yellow Conceptronic icon (B) in your
system tray:
You can now connect the USB cable to the CPHONELU and to a free USB port
on your computer. The USB VoIP Phone will be installed automatically.

During the installation of the hardware, the CPHONELU
will show the following message on the display:
When the USB VoIP Phone is installed and initialized, the Skype™ Portal will
try to access Skype™. You will see the following authorization request in the
Skype™ application:
Select the option “Allow this program to use Skype” and click “OK”.
The Skype™ Portal will initialize the CPHONELU. The
CPHONELU will sound the ringtone and show the
following information on the display:

5. Changing the Windows & Skype™ Audio Settings
5.1 Changing Windows Audio Settings through the Skype™ Portal
When the CPHONELU is installed on your computer, the Audio Settings of
Windows are automatically changed to the CPHONELU.
This means that all sounds (notifications, music, etc.) will be played through
the CPHONELU. You can change the settings back to your soundcard through
the Skype™ Portal application.
1. Right click the Skype™ Portal system tray icon and select “Audio Device
Settings”.
2. Set the options “Speaker” and “Microphone” back to your default
soundcard and click “OK” to save the settings.
(In this example, the default soundcard is a Realtek card. Your system can have
another type or brand soundcard).

The Audio Settings for Windows are now set to your default soundcard.
5.2 Changing Skype™ Audio Settings
When the default Windows Audio Settings are restored you need to check and
modify the Skype™ Audio Settings (if needed).
1. Open the Skype™ Application.
2. In the Menu, select “Tools”, “Options”.
3. Select the option “Sound Devices” on the left.
4. Change the options Audio In, Audio Out and Ringing to “CPHONELU
AUDIO”.
5. Click “Save” to save the adjusted Audio Settings and return to Skype™.
The Audio Settings for Skype™ are now configured for the CPHONELU.

6. Make a Test-Call through Skype™
You can make a test-call to verify the Audio Settings for Skype™.
To verify the settings, call 1 of your contacts from the Skype™ list, or call the
Sound Test Contact of Skype™ by entering “echo123” in Skype™ and press the
green call button.
7. Display Features of the CPHONELU
When the CPHONELU is connected to your computer and in standby mode, you
will see “USB Phone” on the display.
If you press the Left-Button of the direction keys, the CPHONELU will show
your Skype™ Contact list. It shows the online contacts first, followed by the
offline contacts. If you only want to show the online contacts, press the Left-
Button again.
Press the “Hang-up” button to return to the standby screen.
If you press the Right-Button of the direction keys, you can display the
“Missed Calls” ( ), “Received Calls” ( ) or “Made Calls” ( ).
Press the “Hang-up” button to return to the standby screen.
Your CPHONELU is now ready to use!
