
AutoTracer NAS Quick Setup
•Make sure the computer in the AutoTracer NAS appliance is up and running before proceeding. Please refer to the User’s Manual
on how to power up the embedded computer.
Bring up Tsweb
•Open a web browser.
•On the address filed of the browser enter the following: “192.168.10.10/tsweb” (without the double quotes).
•On the “Server” field of the tsweb page enter the following: “192.168.10.10” (without the double quotes).
•On the “Size” field select “1024 x 756”.
•Click on the “Connect” button.
•On the “User Name” field of the “Log On to Windows” dialog box enter: “Administrator” (without the double quotes).
•On the “Password” field enter: “2sie!” (without the double quotes).
•On the ”Log On To” menu select the “SIE (this computer)” menu item.
Set up the Network in the Appliance
•Select “Start\Settings\Control Panel”.
•Double click the “Network and Dial-Up Connections” icon.
•Double click the “Local Area Connection” icon.
•Select the “Properties” button.
•Select “Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)”.
•Click the “Properties” button.
•Enter the “IP Address”, “Subnet Mask” and “Default Gateway” values. Consult with your network administrator for the proper
values to enter. Do not leave the default values.
•Enter the “Preferred DNS Server” and “Alternate DNS Server” values. Consult with your network administrator for the proper
values to enter. Do not leave the default values.
•Click in sequence the “Apply” and “OK” buttons in order to close all the windows.
•Restart (do not shutdown) the appliance.
Create a Backup Account (using a domain)
Request from your network administrator to create a “SIE_BACKUP” (without the double quotes) account. The following table
shows the suggested values. For security reasons your network administrator might want to use a different password.

You will need to use such information to log on the AutoTracer NAS appliance after it has been assigned a new TCP/IP.
Create a Backup Account (using a workgroup)
The AutoTracer NAS appliance comes with an account named “SIE_BACKUP” (without the double quotes). You need to create the
same account with the same password on each machine that has shared folders that need to be accessed by the appliance. Perform the
following steps on each machine in the workgroup that will use the services of the AutoTracer NAS appliance.
