Connecting the DMX remote control :
Connect the female plug of your XLR cable to your DMX remote control XLR output, then connect your cable
male output to the moving head. Daisy chain your moving heads with XLR cables.
Using a DMX line termination :
When long runs of cable are used (more than 100m, you may need to use a terminator on
the last unit to avoid erratic behavior. A terminator is a 110-120 ohm 1/4 watt resistor which
is connected between pins 2 and 3 of a male XLR connector. This unit is inserted in the
female XLR connector of the last unit in your daisy chain to terminate the line.
6.1 - DMX cabling
Address 1 Address 5 Address 9
6.2 - Addressing the units
Every unit must have a DMX address in order to respond to DMX signals. The address corresponds to the
channel number on which the unit receives an incoming DMX signal sent by the DMX remote control. The
DMX addressing can be performed by programming the channel number via the display located on the base
of the unit.
You can either assign the same address to your units so they all react to the same signal, or assign a unique
address per unit to control them independently.
IPFLOOD5x15QC uses 4, 6, 8 or 11 channels.
You must skip 4, 6, 8 or 11 channels betweeb each address you assign. In the following example, the
projector is in 4-channel mode :
The address of the first unit is 1, the second unit is5 (1+4), the third unit is 9 (5+4) and so on.
Note : Once switched on, the projector automatically detects any incoming DMX signal and the
display indicates the unit DMX address. If the unit does not receive any DMX signal, the display will
flash. In such a case, please make sure the cable is properly plugged into the DMX input of your
moving head, your remote control is switched on and the cables used are not defective.

6.2 - Using the wireless DMX system
1 - Using the wireless DMX system requires :
1 - A DMX controller
2 - A compatible wireless transmitter such as the Contest® WDMX-ERIP
3 - The IPFLOOD5x15QC projector equipped with the wireless DMX receiver
2 - The DMX signal indicator (page 6, number 8)
1 - Red/green rapid flashing : connecting to a DMX transmitter.
2 - Red/green slow flashing : connected to a wireless DMX transmitter but no DMX information is being
received.
3 - Lit in green : Connected to a wireless DMX transmitter and receiving DMX information.
4 - Lit in red : Not connected to a wireless DMX transmitter.
3 - Menu
You will need to change a few parameters in this menu in order to switch from a wired DMX command
system to a wireless DMX system.
(Wireless DMX mode activated)
1 - If the projector is switched on but not connected to a wireless DMX transmitter, it will automatically
search either a wired or wireless DMX signal. In such a case, the projector can be controlled by a
regular (wired) DMX controller or a wireless DMX transmitter.
2 - If the projector is switched off but connected to a wired DMX controller, it will still be able to connect
to a wireless DMX transmitter but will only answer to wired DMX controllers once turned on. The wired
connection overrides the wireless connection.
(Wireless DMX mode deactivated)
When the wireless DMX mode is deactivated the unit cannot be connected to a wireless DMX transmitter.
(DMX signal management via XLR output)
When this mode is activated, the incoming wireless DMX signal is directed toward the DMX XLR output. This
allows you to add several other non-wirelesss projectors to the DMX network.
(Wireless DMX module reset)
Allows you to reset the DMX address of your unit.
4- Setting up a wireless DMX connection
1 - Connect the DMX controller to the wireless DMX transmitter.
2 - To create a connection to the wireless DMX transmitter :
a - Make sure the DMX signal indicator is lit in red
b - Press and hold the configuration button of the wireless transmitter for at least 3 seconds. The
indicators of the projector and the wireless transmitter then start rapidly flashing in red and green,
this is the standard peering procedure.
c - Once connected, the projector will preserve its wireless DMX identity and will automatically
reconnect each time it is switched on.
