IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are present, basic
safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
• READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
• Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
• To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse cord, plug, or the appliance
in water or other liquid.
• Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance
to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or
mechanical adjustment.
• The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause
hazards.
• Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not let the cord hang over the edge
of table or counter, as it could be pulled off.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Use extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot
liquids.
• To use, plug cord into electrical outlet. To disconnect, grasp plug and remove from
outlet. Do not pull on the cord.
• Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.

POLARIZED PLUG
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug ts in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t into
the outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not t, contact a qualied
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
If a longer detachable power supply cord or extension cord is used, (1) the marked
electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance, and (2) the cord should be arranged so that it will not drape
over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped
over unintentionally.

GUARDE ESTAS INSTRUCCIONES
ENCHUFE POLARIZADO
Este artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una hoja es más ancha que la otra).
Como medida de seguridad, este enchufe sólo debe usarse en una toma de
corriente polarizada en un solo sentido. Si no entrara en la toma de corriente,
invierta el enchufe y trate nuevamente. Si aún así no entrara, busque la ayuda de
un electricista calicado. No intente anular este distintivo de seguridad.
Un cable corto le es provisto para reducir el peligro resultante del enredo o
tropiezos que puede causar una más grande.
Cables separables o de extensión están disponibles y pueden ser usados teniendo
mucho cuidado en su uso.
Si se usara un cable separable o un cable de extensión, (1) la graduación eléctrica
que marca debe ser por lo menos, de la misma graduación del artefacto y (2) el
cable debe ser arreglado de una forma que no cuelgue del mostrador o de la mesa,
donde pueda ser halado por un niño o tropezarse.

COMO HACER WAFFLES
1. Siempre precaliente antes de emplearla. Conecte el cable al enchufe mien-
tras prepara Ia mezcla.
2. Cuando use Ia wafflera por primera vez, engrase los platos con aceite o
mantequilla.
3. La luz roja (B) indica que el enchufe esta conectado a Ia salida principal; así
se quedará todo el tiempo en que este en uso el aparato.
4. Cuando el aparato se ha calentado a Ia temperatura apropiada (aproximada-
mente 5 minutos), Ia luz verde "listo" (C) se encenderá.
5. Ponga Ia masa en el centro del plato inferior.
6. Cierre Ia wafflera bajando el plato superior en el plato inferior y asegure con
el seguro (0).
7. Durante Ia cocción, Ia luz verde (C) se encenderá y se apagará intermitente-
mente de modo que Ia temperatura correcta se mantendrá.
8. El waffle estará listo en 2 a 4 minutos (o más tiempo dependiendo de Ia
preferencia personal).
9. Cuando usted cierre Ia tapa después del quitar el waffle, el siguiente waffle
puede ser que este listo en menos tiempo porque el plato almacenara el
calor.
10. Use una espatula de madera o plástico para quitar el waffle del plato de
cocción.
11. Desconecte el cable del enchufe cuando no este en uso.
HOW TO USE YOUR WAFFLE
MAKER
1. Always preheat before use. Plug cord into power outlet while preparing the
fillings.
2. When using the waffle maker for the first time, grease the cooking plates with
oil or butter.
3. The red light (B) indicates that the plug is connected to the main outlet; it will
stay on the entire time the waffle maker is being used.
4. When the appliance has heated to the appropriate temperature (about 5
minutes), the green "ready" light (C) will come on.
5. Place dough evenly in the center of the bottom plate.
6. Close the waffle maker by lowering the upper plate onto the lower plate and
secure with the safety catch (D).
7. During baking, the green light (C) will come on and off intermittently so that
the correct temperature is maintained.
8. The waffle will be ready in 2 to 4 minutes (or longer depending on personal
preference ).
9. When you close the lid after removing baked waffle, the next waffle may be
baked in less time because the plate will store heat.
10. Use a wooden or plastic spatula to remove waffle from the baking plate.
11. Disconnect the plug from power outlet when not in use.

CLEANING
•After use. and before cleaning, remove plug and wait for waffle
maker to cool.
•Wipe the inside, and edges of plates with paper towels or a soft
cloth.
•Should any filling be difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil
onto the plate and wipe off after 5 minutes, when the filling has
softened.
•Wipe the outside with a slightly moistened cloth, ensuring that
no moisture, oil. or grease enters the cooling slots.
•Do not clean inside or outside with any abrasive scouring pad or
steel wool, to prevent damaging the finish.

LIMPIEZA
• Despues de usarla, o antes de limpiarla, quite el enchufe y
espere que Ia wafflera se enfríe.
