Copystar is pleased to introduce the New CS-3060 / CS-2560
The New CS-3060 / CS-2560 are the latest addition to Copystar’s line of Monochrome
Multifunctional Devices. The new CS-3060 / CS-2560 come standard with Network Print
and Color Scan and Send capabilities, which will accommodate the needs of most small
to mid-size business workgroups.
With the Copystar CS-3060 / CS-2560, customers can choose whether they require a
30PPM devices or a 25PPM device, based on their print, scan and copying needs.With
the Copystar CS-3060 / CS-2560 and it’s abilities to Network Print and Network Color
Scan, customers’ can also reduce equipment redundancy, such as locally attached
flatbed scanners and printers by consolidating all of these requirements using a centrally
located CS-3060 / CS-2560 MFP. .
The CS-3060 / CS-2560 will provide customers with a wider range of choices when
deciding on which product will best fit their business structure, and are a welcome addition
to Copystar’s Monochrome Multifunctional Product Line.

The new CS-3060 and the new CS-2560 are products intended for the workgroup,
where printing, scanning and faxing are part of the daily workflow process and require
an MFP that is highly reliable and easy to use.
The CS-3060 and the CS-2560 standard features and functionality, when combined
with Copystar’s advanced user-friendly software solutions, allow users to easily network
print, network scan or network fax from the desktop or the MFP. For the IT administrator,
the advance software monitoring tools will allow administrators to control all of the
business processes across their network from a central location, easily and effectively.
Copystar gives businesses the choice, on whether they need a 30 page per minute
device or a 25 page per minute device, without losing any of the features and
functionality that are normally found on more expensive high-end MFPs. Copystar also
designed the CS-3060 and the CS-2560 around Kyocera’s Long Life components,
making the CS-3060 and CS-2560 cost effective to operate and the ideal choice for the
any workgroup.

Standard Print and Scan
One of the most important advancements in the
Office Equipment industry has been the
combination of multiple office machines into a
single multi-functional device. At one time, an
office may have required a fax machine, copier,
scanner, and a printer. Each of these machines
took up space in the office and each required
individual service agreements. With the
development of the MFP, all of these functions
are consolidated into a single product, reducing
the amount of equipment that is necessary to
perform these individual tasks. The MFP also
has additional features and functions that are
not available with most of the single function
devices. With the benefits that the digital MFP
provides, customers are able to realize
improved productivity at a much lower cost.
The CS-3060 and CS-2560 offers standard
Network Printing, Color Scanning and Optional
Fax/Network Fax/Internet Fax, in addition to
traditional copy functionality. In today’s
connected world, customers are looking for a
manufacturer who can provide them with a
standard feature set that meet the needs of their
office. With the key features, options and
reliability Copystar provides with these products,
the CS-3060 and CS-2560 will most certainly
improve the productivity of any environment and
are products that the small to mid-size business
can depend on.
Single Board Architecture
The new CS-3060 and CS-2560 continues to
build on the single board controller that was
introduced with the Falcon III MFPs. This single
board architecture provides a single connection
for both printing and network scanning. With
previous designs, two separate IP (Internet
Protocol) addresses were required for print and
scan. This can be an obstacle where IT
departments closely manage IP addresses,
control the placements of hubs, and in the small
business where multiple network drops may not
be available for installation.
Color Scanning
In addition to Standard Network Color Send
functionality, the new CS-3060 and CS-2560
also has the ability to scan in color and
monochrome. With the ability to scan in color,
the CS-3060 and the CS-2560 have a distinct
competitive advantage over some the other
competitors’ product in today’s market. The
CS-3060 and the CS-2560 with its color scan
capability from a monochrome MFP will allow
small to mid-size businesses to integrate the
scanning process of their color or black and
white documents into a more cost effective
solution.
With the CS-3060 and the CS-2560 color scan
capabilities, these products can be integrated
with the KYOcapture Suite of Document
Solution for businesses interested in converting
the paper-based document workflow of their
workgroup into a digital document workflow.
Scanning documents in color is an advantage
for businesses wanting to preserve the integrity
of the color documents.
Expanded / Shared Memory Resources
The new CS-3060 and CS-2560 utilize shared
memory resources for Print, Send and Copy.
The CS-3060 and CS-2560 are configured with
512MB Standard RAM (Random Access
Memory), and are upgradable to 1GB. These
new MFPs also come standard with a large
80GB HDD for Document Printing and
Copystar’s Document Box.

Document Box
In order to improve the productivity and
performance of the small to mid-size business
workgroup environment, it is important to
consolidate the management of a variety of
documents, including scanned images of hard
copy originals, and electronic documents. The
ability to share these documents amongst
multiple users and storing
these documents in a
secure central location is
vital to the productivity of
any workgroup.
With Document Box, users can save scanned
or printed documents to a specified Box in the
MFP 80GB HDD. User can access the
documents stored in the CS-3060 or the
CS-2560 Document Box from the control panel
or from the desktop. The Color TSI of the
CS-3060 and the CS-2560 offers an image of
the first page for proof checking to ensure that
the right document is being accessed.
Color Touch Screen Interface (TSI)
Copystar designed the CS-3060 and the
CS-2560 so that the user can navigate through
the different menus on the MFP Color Touch
Screen Interface (TSI) quickly and easily.
The Color TSI for the CS-3060 and the
CS-2560 is very intuitive, has an easy to view
color display and improved icons that assist the
user with their document output requirements.
The Color TSI incorporates a tabbed
architecture, similar to file folders, so users can
easily find the features they require for creating
professional looking documents every time.
The Color TSI is positioned on a control panel
that can be adjusted and is Section 508
Compliant.
Network Authentication
For any Workgroup or Enterprise, protecting
network integrity is a key concern. Many of the
markets you will prospect will require Network
Authentication on any MFP that is connected to
the network.
The CS-3060 and CS-2560 provide standard
Network Authentication, using NTLM
(Windows® NT) or KERBEROS (Server
2000/2003). With Network Authentication active,
users will be required to login to the MFP using
their unique network ID and password.

Document Box
Document Box is an integrated storage/sharing
solution utilizing the standard 80GB Hard Disk
Drive (HDD). With Document Box, users will be
able to print critical documents quickly, directly
from the Color TSI.
Multi Tasking Functions
Workgroup users typically engage in a variety
of document processes. These include the use
of copying, printing, scanning and faxing. By
introducing the CS-3060 or CS-2560 into
these business environments, users will be
enabled to process multiple jobs
simultaneously with the Multi Task Multi
Access features, thus improving the efficiency
of their business processes.
Multi Send Functions
With Multi Send, the new CS-3060 and
CS-2560 can send documents to different
destinations from a single scan, greatly
improving overall productivity in any office.
Multi Send provides users with the ability to
simultaneously send documents to:

• e-Mail folders
• Fax Destinations
Another key benefit of the CS-3060 and the
CS-2560 is the ability to Send and Print / Send
and Store simultaneously. User will no longer
need to wait for one task to be completed
before proceeding to the next task. With the
ability to multi task, the CS-3060 and the
CS-2560 will prove to be very productive in
any workgroup environment so plan to

50 Job Programs
Most devices in the market have limited
functionality when using Job Programming.
The CS-3060 and CS-2560 capitalize in a
Single Board Architecture and provide up to 50
Job Programs for both Copy and Send
functions. Access is fast and easy, from the
Program key on the left side of the Control
Panel.

Ease of Use
For many companies, printing and scanning will
be functions that their businesses focus on. In a
small to mid-size business however, copying will
be the major reasons for purchasing an MFP.
Another deciding factor that most businesses

quickly and easily, frustration mounts, resulting

Color Wide Touch Screen Interface
The first new feature you will come upon is the
New Color Touch Screen Interface. This is a key
improvement over previous segment 2 MFPs
that provided a menu driven interface. Your
clients will find that the Color TSI are easier to
navigate and simpler to use over traditional
control panels. The CS-3060 and
CS-2560, the Color TSI features a Thumbnail
Viewer and improved Icons for most features.
Advanced Help Key / Help Guidance
In addition to the obvious improvements, the
CS-3060 and CS-2560 Operation Panel
includes a Help Key / Help Guidance function
for on-board assistance with product features,
as well as the occasional misfeed or service
issue. This a clear benefit to users who would
like to use all of the time saving features that
the
CS-3060 and CS-2560 have to offer, but are
not
sure how to use them
Operation Status LED
A device that stops working due to a misfeed
or other issues can affect all users who rely on
a centralized MFP for the Print, Send and
Copy needs. With this in mind, the new
CS-3060 and CS-2560 were designed with
Operation Status LEDs that provide the user
with the ability to see the status of the device
from a distance.
USB Host Interface
The innovative USB Host Interface is a feature
that will be a benefit to Performance, Ease of
Use or Security. Located directly on the right
side the USB Host Interface allows users to
print PDF data stored on a common USB
“flash drive” quickly, efficiently and securely.
When printing PDF documents the user
simply plugs in their USB flash drive into the
USB Host Interface. The Removable Memory
Box feature will then display all the PDF files
located on the root of the USB flash drive. The
user can then select the PDF document and
the desired document/page attributes such as
duplex and finishing when printing the PDF
document from the USB flash drive. Since the
PDF file prints directly from the USB flash
drive to the MFP, there is no residual data that
remains on the MFP, assuring that any PDF
document that is printed
remains secure and
confidential.

Improved Paper Cassettes
The CS-3060 and the CS-2560 are the first MFPs
in Copystar’s product line to in corporate the new
Top/Bottom handle design The new handles are
designed so users can unlock the cassettes using
either an over or under hand grip and are Section
508 compliant.
Security
The CS-3060 and the CS-2560 comes standard
with Network Authentication that supports
Windows® NT and Server 2000/2003
environments, assuring IT administrators that this
device will comply with their company’s network
login security implementations. Administrators also
have the option to set and manage Local
Authentication at the device level when Network
Authentication is not required.

Companies focusing on compliance and security
strategies will see the optional Copystar
Data Security Kit (C) especially valuable.
Data Security Kit (C) uses a three level overwriting
method to erase any information that is stored in
the hard disk drive during Copy, Print, and Send
functions. With the Encryption included in the
process, all confidential documents saved in the
80GB HDD will be securely stored, allowing
workgroups and departments to adhere to
the strict guidelines in place today such as
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), HIPPA or other
federal government mandates.
Data Security Kit (C) will undergo evaluation
for ISO 15408 Certification after launch.
IP Filtering
For IT management and administration, the
new CS-3060 and CS-2560 supports IP
Filtering, allowing administrators to
designate, by IP segment, individual
assignments to prevent unauthorized usage
and ensure network security.

Security Watermark (KX Driver)
One of the features available for the
KX Driver is the Security Watermark feature
that can be used in conjunction with the new
CS-3060 and CS-2560 MFPs.
The KX Driver Security Watermark places a
faint watermarked image in the background
of the original printed document, similar to
any other watermark. When this original
document is copied, this watermark and the
background are printed.

Connectivity
The CS-3060 and the CS-2560 standard
features and functionality, when combined with
Kyocera’s advanced user-friendly software
solutions, allow users to easily network print,
network scan or network fax from the desktop or
the MFP.
For the IT administrator, the advanced software
monitoring tools will allow administrators to
control all of the business processes across their
network from a central location, easily and
effectively.
Network Setup
The new MFPs connect quickly and easliy to
most network environments. The Single Board
Controller offers a standard 10/100BaseTX
interface that can be controlled directly from the
desktop with the web-based Kyocera
Command Center (KCC). This useful tool can
be accessed from most Web Browsers,
including Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator,
Mac’s Safari or any other browser currently
supported.
The IP Address can be assigned to the device
(static or dynamic) from the Control Panel or
Kyocera’s Quick Setup Tool. Once the
appropriate IP scheme has been designated,
Kyocera Command Center can be accessed,
and advanced networking commands and
settings can be entered. This web page can be
given a password and secured, so only
authorized Network Administrators can change
settings when the need arises.
What’s most important to the small to mid-size
business and IT contacts is that full network
control of the CS-3060 and CS-2560 is
available at the desktop, so Administrators can
focus on the day-to-day tasks of their job, and
not have to devote their time to managing the
MFP.
From Kyocera Command Center,
administrators can also set the IP Filters, turn
on/off the IPP (Internet Printing Protocol), and
set e-Mail (SMTP and POP3) and
management settings at the desktop.
Business environments that determine that
Network Authentication is required at the
device can set the proper Authentication
settings in Kyocera Command Center.
With Kyocera Command Center, the ability to
select and designate any network setting
provides administrators with a powerful tool
that can simplify their day-to-day tasks.
From the web-based Kyocera
Command Center, Authentication can
be set for NTLM or KERBEROS.

KM-NET Suite
The KM-NET suite of software, tools and utilities,

end-user, KM-NET Suite delivers a strong
message.
KMnet Admin
KMnet Admin is Copystar's unified device
management solution that uses a web-based
platform to give network administrators easy and
uncomplicated control of all network enabled
printing devices. By using state-of-the-art
technology, features can be added to
KMnet Admin by installing software add-ins that
give the administrator and users only the
features that they require without adding
additional complicated applications.
KMnet Admin is web-based, so no client
software installation is necessary. KMnet Admin

KM-NET Viewer
KM-NET Viewer is a stand alone utility, and
gives Administrators the ability to filter devices
by Model Number, Speed, Group, Status and
Protocol.The ability to arrange by filter and
create groups based on department or floor
plan is particularly advantageous, so
diagnostics and any subsequent actions are
easier to perform.
KM-NET for Clients
In larger companies and environments, device
administration and management may be
handled at multiple levels. Each department or
workgroup may be responsible for the daily
tasks associated with their output devices. In
this case, an all-encompassing tool such as
KM-NET Viewer may be more than
management is willing to distribute. Key
Operators and Managers have an obligation
to their own point of need. For this important
assignment, Kyocera developed a utility called
KM-NET for Clients. Unlike KMNV, which can
view all output devices on the network,
KM-NET for Clients can view up to five (5)
Copystar devices at a single time. Once
installed, the utility can perform a search on
the local network segment or port. Once auto-
discovery is accomplished, up to five devices
can populate the utility for administration. A
Virtual Front Panel will be accessible,
showing machine status, estimated paper
levels and default Page Description Language
(PDL) of the interface.

KM-NET for Accounting
For the customer who has a need for tracking
usage of Copystar’s new Workgroup MFPs,
KM-NET for Accounting (KMNA) is software
for departmental access and accountability. This
tool will be an integral part of any company that
wishes to track usage for departmental or client
charge-backs.
