USB Flash Disk enables you to exchange huge amount of data easily between any computers
with a USB port. With high storage capacity and blazing fast speeds, this handy small device is
the best choice to replace floppy disks, ZIP disks and hard disks. In addition, this Hi-speed USB
Flash Disk provides utility programs that you can partition the disk with great flexibility and set
Security Area with password check to secure your personal data. With this gadget from the

Note: The read/write speed of the USB Flash Disk depends on the Flash memory type inside

Driver Installation
To use this Hi-speed USB 2.0 Flash Disk, it is not necessary to install any driver in Windows®
ME, Windows® 2000, Windows® X , Windows® Vista, Mac TM 9.x or later, Linux TM Kernel
2.4 or later. Only Windows® 98 and Windows® 98SE need to install the enclosed driver.
Driver Installation for Windows 98/98SE
1. lease execute setup.exe to install USB Flash Disk Windows 98/98SE driver. The icon is
shown as:
2. The Setup Wizard will show up as below, please click Next > to continue.

3. It is now ready to install the driver. lease click Install to continue the installation.
4. Executing Setup.exe will guide you to install the USB Flash Disk Windows 98/98SE driver on
your computer.

5. The installation has completed, please click Finish to exit Setup.
6. The following window will show up when driver installation has finished. lease re-plugin USB
Flash Disk to activate the driver.

Disk Partitions and Securit Function
This Hi-speed USB 2.0 Flash Disk provides utility program named “UFD Manager” to enable
user to partition the Flash Disk and/or to set Security Area with password check to secure your
personal data. Also, you can configure this Flash Disk as an MS-DOS Startup Disk by this utility
program.
To run the utility program, just double click . “UFD_Manager.exe” is used to format/partition the
USB Flash Disk, set Security Area, and create MS-DOS Startup Disk. If users enable the
security function when performing “UFD_Manager.exe”, one another program named “Lock.exe”
will be generated and placed in the first partition of the Flash Disk. To run the “Lock.exe”, just
double click . “Lock.exe” is the interface used to access the Security Area.
USB Flash Disk Manager Interface
1. Log-In / Out” Tap

a. It is for “Log-in/out” into/from Security Disk area, once it is implemented.
b. User can put the “Default /W” which he set in , in
Tap, when he partitions the UFD as ublic & Security Disk Area.
c. Once UFD is partitioned as ublic & Security, then, Log-in button will be activated as below.
d. Once Log-in is successful, user comes to get below message.
After click button, Security Disk will be opened automatically, as below.

2. Change Password” Tap.
a. After putting all the required W and W Hint(if required), push the

b. From this, only “New /W” can be effective.
Note : If user forgot the P/W, then, there is no way but to Partition, again!
In this case, all the private data both in Public & Security Disk will be disappeared!

3. Partition” Tap.
a. Below box instantly shows the exact Disk size of Total, ublic and Security when user moves
the scroll bar.
b. Below boxes are for setting “ /W” & its Hint those are required for logging-into the newly
made Security Disk. It is only activated when is released.

c. Below menu can make artitioned Disk into whole ublic Disk(ie, Total UFD capacity
will be equal to ublic Disk and no Security Disk!)
d. User can change the portion between ublic & Security Disk size with below scroll bar.
And the change will be shown above “ artition Information” box, instantly.
e. After setting the “ ortion” and “Default /W”, push the button, then, user
will get below “Warning Message”
f. Then, below progress bar will change.
g. After finished, then, user will get below message.

h. For all the “Log-in/out”, “Change assword”, and “ artition” Taps, if pushes the
button, Utility will reside in System Tray, as below.
4. Tray menu.
a. Lock.
It activates “Log-in/out” Tap.
b. Change assword.
It activates “Change assword” Tap.
c. Exit.
It terminates this Utility forcibly.

Note : 1. Utility will reside in System Tray until UFD is plugged-out or forcibly terminated
with below Exit” menu.
2. This Utility is permitted & works correctly only with Imation’s permitted UFD products.
3. For Device’s Integrity, This Utility is permitted only for ONE LOGICAL UNIT NUMBER(ie,
without CD-ROM) and WHOLE PUBLIC DISK UFD(ie, without Security Disk) Device, when
initially released,
