INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
UNPACKING THE MACHINE
The machine is delivered packed in a cardboard box containing compressed
polystyrene. Dispose of the packing material according to the requirements of the local
recycling laws.
Verify the machine's integrity and in particular the electric cables. If in doubt, ask a technician
to check before proceeding with installation.
POSITIONING THE GLASS POLISHER
The machine does not require anchoring - but must be level on whatever surface it is
sitting on. This may require the adjustment of the nut located at the base of each leg.
Make sure that no objects (cloths, etc.) are placed under the glass drier so as not to
obstruct air flow.
Ensure the glass drier is not placed close to any taps and/or water connections.
ASSEMBLING THE BRUSHES
Each glass polisher is packaged with 8 brushes and these brushes are colour coded (red,
yellow and green) at the bottom of the brush base. On the top of each support (B) is a coloured
dot corresponding to the brush colours (red, yellow and green).
Place each brush on top of support (B) (matching the colours) and slide the brush down the
support. Ensure that slot (A) is connected by slightly rotating the brush in a clockwise
direction. If the brush is not properly fixed on the support, it will not rotate once the machine is
switched on.

To verify correct placement of the brushes, try to rotate them clockwise and then pull lightly
upwards: if the brush does not come off the support, placement is correct.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
First, verify that the power supplied corresponds to the machine's requirement by checking the
data on the label attached on the right hand side. Check that the electric plant and the socket
are suitable to supply a domestic appliance with a power of 1.8 Kw. If the socket does not
correspond to the plug, ask an electrician to change it. Do not employ an
adaptor as this may cause overheating and burning.
Never use an extension cord to reach the electric cable to the outlet. If the cable is not long
enough, reposition the glass polisher nearer to the outlet or have an electrician change out the
cable for a longer cable.
Ensure the cable does not rest on sharp edges and is not compressed or bent by other
objects.
STARTING THE MACHINE FOR THE FIRST TIME
This is the same procedure that you would engage for all subsequent start ups of the machine.
Ensure the glass drier is placed in a location where the operator will find it comfortable
to operate.
Ensure nothing is placed under the glass polisher that could obstruct air flow – i.e.
cloths
Insert the plug into the nearest socket.
Press the “Power” button located on t he front of the dryer to start up
the machine.
a. The button will illuminate indicating there is power to the unit.
b. The brushes will begin to rotate
c. The calrod element heats up
d. The fan will begin to circulate increasingly warm air around
the brushes.
WARNING: Ensure that no objects get caught in the rotation of the brushes.
Allow the brushes to heat up for approximately 10 – 15 minutes before
using the GP8 to dry glasses.

HOW TO USE THE GLASS DRIER
The purpose of your “Stemshine” unit is to provide your clients with luminous, spot-free
stemware. It accomplishes this feat through the synthetic, easy to clean heated
brushes.
DAILY OPERATION:
Ensure the glass drier is placed in a location where the operator will find it
comfortable to operate.
Insert the plug into the nearest socket.
Press the “Power” button located on the front of the dryer to start
up the machine.
a. The button will illuminate indicating there is power to the
unit.
b. The brushes will begin to rotate
c. The calrod element heats up
d. The fan will begin to circulate increasingly warm air around
the brushes.
Before using the glass polisher, warm the brushes for at least 10 – 15 minutes.
WARNING: Ensure that no objects get caught in the rotation of the brushes.
Remove clean, wet glasses directly from the glass washer
Wear the specialized CPI “dimpled” polishing
gloves. Lift the glass(es) and place on one of the
two middle brushes. Form a circle with your
thumb and fore-finger and encircle the stem of the
glass – the “OK” grip. This “OK” grip should only
be used to balance the glass -- the glass should
rotate slightly on the brushes.
Place the glass over one of the MIDDLE brushes
and gently guide the stem of the glass. Gently
rock the glass back and forth, side to side, for
approximately 3 to 4 seconds.

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO APPLY PRESSURE WHEN HOLDING THE STEMWARE
AGAINST THE BRUSHES
PLEASE NOTE: the glass drier does not clean stemware, or remove any stains on
the glasses.
At the end of the day or once all stemware has been dried and polished, allow the brushes to
dry out by running the machine for an additional 15 minutes prior to turning off the machine.
Lift the glass and place it on one of the
four outside brushes. Quickly repeat the
rocking action for another 3 to 4 seconds.
Finally, pick up the glass using the “OK”
grip and then pinch the stem of the glass,
again
Place the base of the glass against the front
three brushes to dry/polish the top and bottom
of the base. Using the pinching grip place the
glass in the proper storage vessel.

DAILY CLEANING
The glass polisher needs to be cleaned on a daily basis.
1. Turn the machine off and unplug it.
2. Remove the brushes as follows:
3. Place the brushes evenly on the flat rack or dish rack of your dishwasher (either laying
down or standing up). Ensure they do not overlap one another.
4. Run them through a regular wash cycle in your high temperature dishwasher - TWICE.
5. After the second regular wash cycle is complete, rinse the brushes with plenty of fresh
water to remove soap and chemical that is applied during the wash cycle.
6. Allow the brushes to drip dry overnight on the rack.
7. In the morning, place the brushes back onto the coloured coded spindles matching the
colours of the brush to the colour on the spindle. Turn the brush in a clockwise direction to
lock in place. Be sure that the brushes are correctly inserted onto the spindles.
8. After all brushes are placed on the spindles / support, plug in the machine and turn the
power on. Run for approx. 20-30 minutes or until dry.
WARNING: Do not place the glass drier in a container wi th water because it contains
electrical parts that could be damaged and cause electric shock to the operator once it is
switched back on.
To remove the brush from the support, rotate the brush in a
counter clockwise direction while gently pulling it upwards.
Remove the brush completely by slipping it off its support.

WEEKLY CLEANING
Turn the machine off and unplug it.
Remove the brushes as follows:
To clean the glass polisher, cool down the polisher and then remove the brushes. The
brushes must be hand washed. Place the brushes in a tub of warm water (max 30°C) using a
non-foaming, neutral detergent. Then wipe down the exterior stainless steel casing using a
damp cloth.
WARNING: do not place the glass drier in a container wi th water because it contains
electrical parts that could be damaged and cause electric shock to the operator once it is
switched back on.
Remove the brushes from the warm water and allow them to drip dry overnight before
replacing the brushes onto the glass polishing machine. To replace the brushes, ensure
the connecting slot (A) – shown on page 8, is inserted on the top of support (B) - matching the
colour of the brush to the support. If the brush is not properly fixed on the support, it will not
rotate once the machine is switched back on. To verify this, once the brush has been replaced
try to rotate it clockwise and then pull it gently upwards: if the brush does not come off it has
been placed correctly.
Then turn the machine back on and run for approx. 15 minutes to complete the drying of the
brushes.
To remove the brush from the support, rotate the brush in a
counter clockwise direction while gently pulling it upwards.
Remove the brush completely by slipping it off its support.

MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
INTRODUCTION
Installing and starting the glass dryer with care ensures long lasting operation with no
inconvenience to the user. The guiding principle that the user should follow, and that Campus
Products Inc. would like to stress, is that the machine requires frequent cleaning and routine
maintenance, a list of operations are indicated below.
During maintenance, cleaning products and lubricants will be employed, therefore it is
necessary to remember the following:
"""""
There are two stages of maintenance. ORDINARY MAINTENANCE: can be carried out by the
operator and EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE: must be carried out o nly by a qualified
technician.
Lubricants. solvents and detergents are toxic substances. harmful to
health:.
they can cause irritation if they come into contact with the skin,
they can cause serious intoxication if inhaled
or in some cases, can cause death if swallowed.
Handle with care, wearing the appropriate protection as provided
by law
Do not dispose of these products into the environment; dispose of
waste conforming to the local law requirements concerning toxic
waste.

ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
To perform any maintenance on Stem shine – the Glass Polisher, the machine must be turned off and
disconnected from the socket. The appropriate t ooling must be used t ogether with indiv idual
protection, according to the applicable laws.
Ordinary maintenance consists of cleaning the glass polisher on a regular basis with detergents;
vacuuming the interior chamber of the machine to remove lint and dust; and replacing the brushes on
an annual basis. DO NOT IMMERSE THE MACHINE IN WATER. The control panel is particularly
sensitive to humidity: if it gets inside the panel, it can short circuit the electronic board.
The electric cable must be chec ked meticulously at least once a week, using an extra lamp, to make
sure that it has no scratches (even small ones) and does not present irregularities.
MONTHLY CLEANING
On a monthly basis, the GP8 side panel should be removed and the interior of the machine should be
vacuumed clean.
1. Ensure the unit is turned off and disconnected from the power.
2. Using a slot head screw driver remove the four screws that attach the side panel to the
machine.
3. Using a shop vac, vacuum the interior of the machine to remove any dust or lint from the fan
and motor. Once completed, reassemble the side panel.
If maintenance must be carried out in a poorly lit area,
always employ an extra lamp to ensure that the work is
executed under safe conditions according to local law
requirements

BRUSH CHANGEOUT PROCEDURES :
Approximately once per year, the brushes should be replaced due to normal wear and tear. This is an
easy task to accomplish. Procedures follow.
The GP8 is equipped with 8 colour coded brushes – 3 red; 2 green and 3 yellow. The brushes are
comprised of a very durable, absorbent polystyrene. They were designed with two parts – the base
brush and then an interchangeable tip. This tip will essentially double the life of the brush.
Whether you are changing out an entire brush or replacing just a “tip” proceed as follows:
Ensure the unit has been turned off and is unplugged.
Remove the brush from the support by rotating the brush in a counter
clockwise direction while gently pulling it upwards.
Remove the brush completely by slipping it off its support.

REPLACE A FULL SET OF BRUSHES:
Ensure you have an 8 brush set – colour coded with 3 red; 2 green and 3 yellow
Place each brush on top of support (B) (matching the colours) and slide the brush down the support.
Ensure that slot (A) is connected by slightly rotating the brush in a clockwise direction. If the brush is
not properly fixed on the support, it will not rotate once the machine is switched on.
REPLACE THE GREEN BRUSH TIP:
Firmly grasp both ends of the
colour coded green brush
Twist until the brush separates into
two parts. Discard the worn brush
tip.
Fit the new tip into the brush and
twist until hand tight. The brush is
now ready to be put back onto its
support.
REPLACE THE RED OR YELLOW BRUSH TIP:
Using ‘needle-nose pliers’, grasp the lip of the brush tip and turn to the
left to loosen. This will require 2-3 turns using the pliers.
Continue turning the tip by hand
until the br ush is s eparated into
two parts. Discard the worn
brush tip.

TURNING AS THIS MAY DAMAGE THE BRUSH. Use the pliers to tighten the tip until the last
thread is almost flush with the brush edge.
Replace the brushes on their color coded supports (red, green and yellow). Turn the brush in
a clockwise direction to lock in place. Be sure that the brushes are correctly inserted onto the
spindles
