• This manual contains important safety and operating instructions for battery
charger Models 5335/5336.
• Before using the battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary
markings on the battery charger, battery, and product using battery.
• Dry location use only.
• Do not expose to rain.
ѥCAUTION: To reduce risk of injury, charge only C3 19.2V, max. 4000mAh,
Lithium-ion type rechargeable battery packs. Other types of battery pack may
burst, causing personal injury and damage.
• Do not operate charger in a closed-in area or restrict ventilation in any way.

ѥWARNING: The safe use of this product requires an understanding of the
information on the tool and in this Operator’s Manual, as well as knowledge of
the project you are attempting. Before use of this product, familiarize yourself
with all operating features and safety rules.
OPERATION
HOW TO CHARGE A BATTERY PACK
NOTICE: Your Lithium-Ion battery pack is shipped partially charged. Before
using it the rst time, fully charge the battery pack.
1. Charge the battery pack with the correct charger.
2. Connect the charger to a power supply; the red and green LED will
illuminate for one second and then turn off automatically.
3. Attach the battery pack to the
charger by aligning the raised
ribs of the battery pack with
the slot in the charger. Insert
the battery pack onto the
charger (Fig. 2).
4. The charger will communicate
with the battery pack circuitry
to evaluate the condition of
the battery pack.
5. The green LED will ash
continuously during
normal charging.
6. After charging is complete,
the green LED on the charger
will be on.
7. The battery pack will fully
charge, but will not overcharge,
if left on the charger.

CHARGING A HOT BATTERY PACK
If the battery pack is above normal temperature range, the red LED will be on
and the green LED will be off. When the battery pack cools down to appropriate
temperature, the charger will automatically begin to charge.
CHARGING A COLD BATTERY PACK
If the battery pack is below the normal temperature range, the red LED will
be on and the green LED will be off. When the battery warms to appropriate
temperature, the charger will automatically begin charging.
DEFECTIVE BATTERY
If the charger detects a problem, the red LED will begin to ash and the green
LED will be off, indicating that the battery may be defective. Remove and
reinsert the battery pack into the charger. If the LED ashes red a second time,
try charging a different battery pack.
1. If a different battery pack charges normally, dispose of the defective battery pack.
2.
If a different battery pack also indicates “defective,” the charger may be defective.
BATTERY CHARGING
If the battery pack is within the normal temperature range, the green LED will
begin to ash and the red LED will be off.
BATTERY FULL
After the battery is fully charged, the green LED light on the charger will be on
and the red LED light will be off.

NOTICE: The battery pack will fully charge, but will not overcharge, if left on the charger.
NOTICE: Charger may warm
with several continuous charge
cycles. This is part of the normal
operation of the charger. Charge
in a well ventilated area.
WALL-MOUNT HOLES (Fig. 3)
The charger has hanging holes for
convenient storage. Install screws
(available separately) in the wall 3
inches apart.
Use screws sufciently strong to
hold the combined weight of the charger and battery pack.
MAINTENANCE
ѥWARNING: Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields
when using compressed air to clean the tool. If the operation is dusty, also wear a
dust mask.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible
to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by
their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
ѥWARNING: Do not at any time allow brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based
products, penetrating oils, etc. to come in contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can
damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious personal injury.
ѥWARNING: When servicing, use only identical Craftsman replacement parts. Use
of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. To ensure safety
and reliability, all repairs should be performed by a qualified service technician.

OPERACIÓN
CÓMO CARGAR EL PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS
ѥAVISO: El paquete de baterías de ión de litio se envía parcialmente cargado.
Antes de utilizarlo por primera vez, cargue el paquete de baterías por completo.
1. Cargue el paquete de baterías con el cargador correcto.
2. Conecte el cargador a un suministro de energía; las luces LED roja y verde
se encenderán por un segundo y luego se apagarán en forma automática.
3. Sujete el paquete de baterías
al cargador alineando los
rebordes elevados del paquete
de baterías con la ranura
del cargador. Introduzca el
paquete de baterías dentro del
cargador (Fig. 2).
4. El cargador se comunicará
con el circuito del paquete
de baterías para evaluar el
estado del mismo.
5. La luz LED verde titilará en
forma continua durante una
carga normal.
6. Cuando nalice la carga, la
luz verde LED del cargador
quedará encendida.
7. El paquete de baterías se
cargará por completo si se lo
deja en el cargador, pero no
sufrirá una carga excesiva.

CARGA DE UN PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS CALIENTE
Si la temperatura del paquete de baterías se encuentra por encima de un rango
normal, la luz LED roja se iluminará y la luz LED verde quedará apagada. Cuando
el paquete de baterías se enfríe a una temperatura apropiada, el cargador
comenzará la carga normal en forma automática.
CARGA DE UN PAQUETE DE BATERÍAS FRÍO
Si la temperatura del paquete de baterías se encuentra por debajo de un rango
normal, la luz LED roja se iluminará y la luz LED verde quedará apagada. Cuando
la batería se caliente a una temperatura apropiada, el cargador comenzará la
carga en forma automática.
BATERÍA DEFECTUOSA
Si el cargador detecta un problema, la luz LED roja comenzará a destellar y la luz
LED verde quedará apagada, lo que indica que la batería puede tener un defecto.
Quite y vuelva a colocar el paquete de baterías dentro del cargador. Si la luz LED
roja titila una segunda vez, trate de cargar un paquete de baterías diferente.
1. Si el otro paquete de baterías se carga normalmente, deseche el paquete
de baterías defectuoso.
2. Si un paquete de baterías diferente también señala “defectuoso”, entonces
puede ser el cargador el que funcione mal.

BATERÍAS CARGÁNDOSE
Si la temperatura del paquete de baterías se encuentra dentro del rango normal,
la luz LED verde comenzará a destellar y la luz LED roja quedará apagada.
BATERÍA LLENA
Después de una carga completa, la luz LED verde del cargador se encenderá y la
luz LED roja se apagará.
AVISO: El paquete de baterías se cargará por completo si se lo deja en el cargador,
pero no sufrirá una carga excesiva.
AVISO: El cargador puede calentarse después de varios ciclos de carga continuos.
Esto es parte de un funcionamiento normal del cargador. Cargue las baterías en
un área bien ventilada.
ORIFICIOS DE MONTAJE
SOBRE LA PARED (Fig. 3)
El cargador cuenta con oricios de
montaje para un almacenamiento
conveniente. Instale los tornillos
(disponibles por separado) sobre la
pared a una distancia de 3 pulgadas.
Utilice tornillos lo sucientemente
resistentes para soportar el peso
combinado del cargador y el
paquete de baterías.
