functioning and maintenance.
Before using your boat please read it carefully to be familiar with it.
If this is your first boat or if you are changing to a type of boat that you do not know, for your
convenience and security, make sure you have experience of management and practice before
assuming command of your boat.
Your retailer or national sailing federation or yacht club will be glad to offer you the advice for the local
nautical schools or the competent instructors.

This manual contains basic recommendations and guidelines for the safe use of the boat. As long as it is not
possible to provide safety information for each potential situation it is strongly recommended:
Make inquires regularly about the safety requirements in force
Keep the boat and the equipment in good conditions
Inspect the boat from your agent or a qualified mechanic at least once a year
Turn off all electrical devices, including the engine(s), the appliances, the blower (extractor steam),
the lights, etc.
Extinguish cigarette and / or other objects that may produce sparks or flames
Close all openings, including hatches, windows / portholes etc.
fuel vapors are explosive and can stagnate in the lower parts of the boat, where could
accidentally ignite.
During refueling the fuel all the hatches and portholes should remain closed.
Close the fuel tank cap and clean any fuel spillage
Open all hatches/lockers, portholes, engine compartments, etc. verifying by vision and by smell, the

presence of vapors / fumes or fuel leaks. If there are signs of leakage and / or vapors, identify and
eliminate the cause before starting the engine.
The fuel vapors are highly explosive. In order to avoid the possibility of explosion or fire, check by vision and
by smell that there is no presence or accumulation of fumes in the engine space(s) and in the fuel
compartment(s) before starting the engine(s). Always operate the extractor of vapors at least four (4)
minutes before starting and whenever the boat is at displacement speed.
In case of fire on board verifying if it is about an electrical component or a less important fire not involved in
the flammable liquids; you can try to extinguish it completely by a fire extinguisher with a suitable type.
If it is instead of a fire in a fuel system or flammable liquids, the danger of the explosion is greater. If you think
it's necessary to abandon the boat, make sure all passengers put on the life jackets or bring the life jackets
with them before leaving the boat.

If you leave the boat, keep a safe distance, since the fuel on fire can spread on the surface of water near the
boat.
The flood, the water boarding or the reversal can be caused by many factors:
by having ignored the weather conditions/ wave state.
by having loaded the boat incorrectly.
by having maneuvered or anchored the boat in a incorrect way.
Always remember the following:
Before starting, check if the bilge pump is working properly
Load the boat properly; do not exceed the maximum capacity indicated on the proper plate. Keep the
load low and distributed uniformly. Always keep an adequate freeboard. Consider the sea conditions,
the trip duration, the weather conditions and the crew's experience.
If you use only an anchor, anchor the boat from the bow only.
Steady the trim and the speed according to the sea conditions.
Close all the openings when the sea is rough.
If the flood is caused by the action of the waves on the stern, try to turn the boat and move the weight forward
Make sure the pump or the bilge pumps are functioning and empty out using scoops/buckets or any suitable
container
If the boat is flooded or taking water, it can become unstable and capsized. If the flood is caused by a hole of
the hull, try to plug it with any available object (dusters, material, cloth, garments, etc.)

Personal flotation devices / lifejackets
Each passenger should be provided with a flotation device of suitable type and of the right size.
Each boat should be supplied with a lifebuoy of the approved type.
By law the flotation devices (if not worn) and the lifejackets should be always accessible. Must be
removed from the cases, prepared to be worn and stored in an easily accessible place in case of need.
The children and all those who don't know to swim must always put on a flotation device. Always check if
the flotation devices for the children are in the right size and working in the water. Never hesitate to put
on the floating wear to all those who are on board when circumstances require.
Make sure the anchor is of an adequate type to moor the boat in a safe way in any weather or sea and the
top is long enough.
Fire extinguishers (of the correct type and number, which are located in easily accessible places)
Personal flotation devices (life jackets)
Fenders, ropes and hooks for boats
Light signals (type for day and for night, not expired)
One or more electric torches with replacement batteries
Maps for the navigation area
First-aid kit
Bilge pump of manual operation
Anchor and rope of the adequate size

authorities about the specific safety requirements, according to the safety regulation.

Basic maneuvers
When driving with a minimum speed in forward gear, the boat can list lightly from the left side to starboard.
It's a natural characteristic of the hulls with a keel of "V" and therefore any intervention is not necessary. Just
correct the list moving the helm lightly until reaching the cruising speed.
Remember that all the boats veer aft. This means the stern of the boat moves in the direction opposite to the
turn direction. For example, when you turn the wheel to the left, the stern turns to the right as the boat fulfils
the turn to the left. It's particularly important to remember this particular during docking, when driving the
boat in the areas restricted and in presence of other boats or when you are close to people at sea.
If the boat is equipped with twin engines, you can insert an engine in forward gear and the other one in
reverse gear to do a complete reversal. This type of reversal can fulfill both directions. If you insert the left
engine in forward gear and that one on starboard behind, the boat fulfill a clockwise reversal. If you insert the
engine on starboard in forward gear and the left one in behind, the boat fulfils a counterclockwise reversal.
Always use extreme caution when approaching any person in the water. Approaching is only at minimum
speed, directing the stern in the opposite direction to the person as you get closer. Bring the gear lever in
neutral and turn off the engine of the boat when the boat is still several meters away from the person in the
water.
Do not allow anyone to occupy the area of the stern when the engines are running (this is also
valid when the engines are in neutral)
The rotating propellers can cause serious injury or death. When there are swimmers near the boat the
engine(s) of the boat should be turned off.

For stopping is sufficient bring back the throttle. When the boat slowed down and the engine is idling you can
go into the reverse gear. Speeding up gradually in reverse gear with the throttle can stop the boat in a short
time. Nevertheless, please note that when turning in reverse the boat does not respond as when turning in
forward and then when moving back it is not possible to fulfill maneuvering in the restricted spaces.
The boat is designed to accelerate rapidly with a period of gliding for hull stern-heavy of minimum duration.
To glide the boat in an easy and fast way just settle the stern driving unit directing it completely inside.
Nevertheless, when it is positioned horizontally, the stern driving unit should be trimmed lightly on the
outside to avoid creating an excessive boat draught which can cause a “bow government” and an excessive
consumption of fuel. In this case, if you try to bend or if you come up against the waves diagonally the turning
could be more abrupt than expected
Preparation:
To dock the boat correctly is necessary to practice. Above all, get into everything you need for docking or
mooring and put them away correctly so that they are ready for use. The concessionaires of the retailers/ the
companies are the best sources of information about the amount and the type of the equipment needed.

Approach the pier:
Departure from the pier:
During the approach phase to a pier or a quay start to reduce the speed far enough away that the boat will
leave no more wake when it reaches near other boats or the pier.
As you approach the mooring point, make sure there is no wind or current which can affect the maneuvers
and approach with caution keeping in mind these factors. If there are winds or strong currents it is preferable
to approach the leeward pier. During the approach check if all the ropes are arranged to the bollards on the
docking side. Approach at the minimum speed and at an angle of approximately 45 degrees compared to
the pier. When the bow is about one meter away from the pier (to starboard), you can place the stern to the
pier side by side with a sharp turn to port. Turn to the starboard and then, always at minimum speed, engage
the REVERSE. In this way the boat will stop and the stern will approach the pier. When it docks the port side
the procedure above is performed in reverse.
during the docking, both passengers and crew must stay on board
until the completion of all the maneuvers.
When you leave the pier is opportune to consider the winds, the tides, the currents and other natural forces
which can affect the maneuvers. The best part of the necessary maneuvers for the approach and the
departure from the pier must be carried out at minimum speed.

Performance of the boat
MAKE SURE THE DOORS OF THE LOCKERSARE CLOSED DURING THE NAVIGATION
The performances of the boat depend on other factors:
Load: take only the objects necessary with you. Keep the low load and well balanced
Propeller: keep it in good conditions and check the pitch is the right size. The standard propeller may not
be the most suitable for the type of boats used and for the load. If the speed of the engine at full speed is not
correct (see the functioning manual of the engine), ask to your own retailer/concessionaire to try different
types of the propeller. If the propeller is lightly bent or dented, it can affect the performance of the boat
negatively.
Keep the hull of the boat clean.
Trim of the boat during the navigation
If when the boat navigates at cruising speed the hull is too stern-heavy, try to correct the problem as follows:
-move the part of the load forward
-Regular the trim of the stern drive unit. For the instructions about the regulation of the trim, see the manual
for the user of the engine
-If when the boat navigates at cruising speed the hull is too bow-heavy reverse the procedure to that
described above.

Position the hull on a cradle, or as an alternative, on the transport trolley with the help of a wooden or metal
flat point spatula; eliminate the main part of the vegetation and, by the half of a well -soaped sponge rub all
the hull carefully. During this operation is advisable to wet the surface abundantly for facilitate the
elimination of the algae.
To clean the external surfaces of the boat use a sponge and neutral soap solution with lukewarm water (or
shampoo). Rinse well with plenty of water. It is advisable to protect the finish with a wax layer to the good
quality boats, available in the market.
All the repairs due to scratches, chips and small cracks, must be executed with the boat in "dry" and in the
shade.
Clean the damaged area with acetone or, as an alternative with alcohol. Add the catalyst to the varnish gel
coat according to the percentage and formality prescribed by the supplying company. Apply the gelcoat with
a panel of bristle in stages, until you obtain the thickness you want and wait for at least six hours.
Correspond then with sandpaper soaked with water starting from the 200 grit up to 1000, and then polish the
surface with the abrasive paste and polish.

Clean the area as described above and mix a small quantity of plaster with the catalyst following the
instructions of the manufacturer. Apply the paste to the crack with the aid of a flat point spatula/penknife, so
that is the uniform area for repairing; wait until the plaster hardens about 2 hours.
Proceed with smoothing with the thin and wet sandpaper; finish off successively with touching up of gelcoat
as definite at the point C1

detected as a defect of the product, all of
those non-compliant will be repaired paying
by the shipyard. The guarantee will not be
applied on the damaged products for
