1. Introduction
F330 ADSL Router is high-speed ADSL device and is a complete solution for
home and office use. The F330 ADSL Router can have a maximum downstream
data rate of up to 8Mbps and an upstream of up to 1Mbps. When configured as
a DHCP server, it will assign IP address to every connected PC and acts as the
only externally recognized Internet device on your local area network. With built-
in NAT, F330 ADSL Router serves as an Internet firewall, protecting your network
from being accessed by outside users. You can safely enjoy the new generation
broadband Internet with the F330 ADSL Router.

3. Hardware Installation Procedures
1. Plug the power cable into the back of the unit.
2. Connect the Ethernet cable (refer to section 3.1).
3. Connect the telephone line to the line socket of the router.
3.1 Network Ethernet cable Setup
You can choose to connect your ADSL Router to a single computer through
either an Ethernet LAN card through a crossover cable or a USB cable
(Figure 2), or to connect it to a Switch/HUB through a usual cable (Figure 3).

3.2 Powering on the F330 ADSL Router
Note! Use only the manufacturer-approved power supply that shipped
with the F330 ADSL Router
Connect the power to the F330 ADSL Router by plugging the power supply
into an appropriate electrical outlet.

4. Software Configuration Procedures
4.1. Preparing your network information
To configure your ADSL router smoothly, it is required that you contact your ISP
(Internet Service Provider) and acquire the following information:
Type of Mode Encapsulation used:
ñPPPoE, PPPoA, IPoA, Bridged, or Routed.
ñAnnex A (ADSL over PSTN) or Annex B (ADSL over ISDN)
DSL connection parameters:
ñFor PPPoE or PPPoA, refer to Table 3 and fill-in all values (provided by your ISP).
ñFor Bridged, Routed, or IPoA, refer to Table 4 and fill-in all values (provided
by your ISP).

4.2 Set up your TCP/IP parameters for Windows XP
Step 1:
Click on
"Start --> Control Panel”.
Step 2:
Click on
" Switch to Classic View ".
Step 3:
Double click on "Network
Connections" to continue.
Step 4:
Single right click on " Local Area
connection " then click
" Properties ".

Step 5:
Double click on " Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) ".
Step 6:
Check " Obtain an IP address automatically "
and “Obtain DNS server address automatically”
then click on " OK " to continue.
Step 7:
Click " Show icon in notification area when
connected " then Click on " OK " to
complete the setup procedures.
4.3 Connection through LAN
You can connect the F330 directly to your computer through the LAN port, if
you have a LAN card in your PC, by using a crossover cable (included in the
package).
If you have a LAN network with more than one user, then you must connect
the F330 Router to the HUB/Switch of your network.
For the next step refer to point 4.5.

4.4 USB Driver Installation under Windows XP
Step-1:
Connect the F330 to the computer by
using the USB cable. Windows will
detect a new hardware. Click Cancel
Insert the CD and the next window
(Step 02) will appear.
Step -2:
Click “Install USB Driver”
The procedure will automatically
install the USB
Step -3:
To complete installation click “OK”
To ensure that the F330 has been
successfully installed, open the Device
Manager which is located in the Control
Panel and check to see the following.
"Crypto F330 ADSL ROUTER Adapter"
"Crypto F330 ADSL ROUTER Interface"

Installation on Windows 98 / ª∂ and 2000 is done in a similar way
4.5 Router Protocol Setup
You must refer to your Internet service provider (ISP) to tell you the appropriate
information (refer to point 4.1 of the manual).
The following is an example of the Router setup by using PPPoA protocol.
In the next section, we describe the configurations that will be done by
using the Internet Explorer.
Step-1:
Click on " Start --> Internet Explorer" to execute
your Web Browser.
Step-2:
Type the router’s IP Address
10.0.0.2 in the address bar
and press " Enter " to continue.
Step-3:
Type “admin” as the username
and “conexant” as the password,
then click "OK" to continue.

Step-04:
On the left part of the window under
the title “Admin Privilege”, click
on “ADSL Configuration”.
Step-5:
During the next step, the following
window will appear.
On the right part of the window, the
second selection “User Selected
Annex Mode” asks you to select the
Annex protocol. Select Annex A
(ADSL over PSTN) or Annex B
(ADSL over ISDN) and press submit.
Step -6:
Press Submit.
Step -7:
Input your given “VPI” and
“VCI” values, then select
"PPPoA VCMux” as your
Encapsulation method.

Step-8:
In the same window enter your
"User Name" and "Password"
provided by your ISP.
Click on " Submit " to continue.
Step -9:
Click on " Yes " to continue (if it appears).
Step -10:
Scroll down the page and
click on " Save Configuration "
to save your settings.
Step -11:
Now, click on “Save & Reboot”
to continue..

Step 12:
Please wait for your system to
save the configurations that have
been made.
Step 13:
Once the settings are saved, click
on " PPP " item on status page.
Step 14:
Under “Status”, check for the
connection activity.
“Connected” indicates that the
connection has been successfully made.
In the left part of the window under
the Status title, click on “Home”
to continue.
Step 15:
If the PPPoA connection is successful,
the WAN port of the F330 ADSL
Router will indicate the following
IP address

5. Troubleshooting
None of the LEDs are on when power on
ñCheck the connection between the AC adapter and F330 ADSL ROUTER.
You can connect to console to check if accessible.
Cannot access F330 ADSL Router via Web
ñCheck to see if you set an IP for the F330 ADSL Router
ñCheck to see the IP setting is on the domain you can access it
ñCheck the LAN port is connect correctly
Cannot access ISP
ñCheck to see if the ADSL link LED is on. If not, the ADSL link is not connected.
ñCheck to see if the LAN link LED is on. If not, the LAN connection is not
connected correctly. Make sure you connect to HUB or PC. If you directly
connect to PC, you need a crossed Ethernet cable.
ñVerify the IP address/Subnet mask are right, and make sure you can ping to
the neighbor PC or PC can ping to the F330 ADSL Router.
ñIf in PPPoA & PPPoE mode, check your login account and password for the
remote server.
ñCheck the correct VPI/VCI values.
ñCheck that the correct Annex (A or B) has been selected.
ñTry to dial the phone to check if the telephone service is available.
