III. INSTALLATION CONDITIONS
PV module shall be used under the condition
described hereinafter:
(a) Mechanical condition
1. No vibration
2. No impact force
(b) Electrical condition
1. Maximum system operation voltage:
1000V for all series solar module
N (number of modules) = Maximum
system voltage of module/ Open circuit voltage of module at standard
AM1.5G, 25 degrees temperature
condition,
Maximum parallel modules= The
connector current rating(25A)/Maximum system current of module
If there are more than 2 strings, that
one string must be have a fuse, the fuse rating=the string’s current
rating ×1.56
IV. INSTALLATION
(a) Unpack the module and check that the module’s glass surface is in good condition.
(b) Check the Junction box at the rear side of module. You can open the cover by using a screwdriver as shown in
Fig 2. Look over the cable connection polarity and the bypass diodes carefully (Fig 2), make sure they are in the
right position and no any damage or loose parts.

Figure 3. Check the cable and diodes to make sure they are in the right position;
ensure that there isn’t any damage or loose parts.
(c) There are several ways to mounting the modules, an example of acceptable mounting structure is shown in
Fig 4.
1. Prepare eight 8mm screws with washers and nuts on it. (Step A)
2. Put the module on the mounting structure carefully, one man holds the module and the others adjust
the module to fit the mounting hole of module and mounting structure at the same level. Screw the
screws into the mounting holes, and tighten the screws. (Step B, Step C, Step D)
3. There are two 4mm holes on the module frame using for connecting the ground terminal. Please
connect the ground wire with the 4mm screw.

(d) Connecting the modules to the battery or to other modules by the way of series connection or parallel
connection (Fig 5). Please use the same connector to connect with the modules. Only the male and female
connector can mate together. Be careful of the system voltage and current when you connected the module
together. The voltage should not exceed the maximum system operation voltage limit.

(e) Grounding:Module frames should be connected to an earth ground for safety, protection from lightning and
related static discharge. Ground the modules with equipment grounding screws (Fig6) on each module and
mounting rails or some equivalent grounding method. The ground wire should be at least the same size as the
electrical conductors. An example of grounding method is shown in Fig 6.
1. Prepare eight 4mm stainless screws with 4mm stainless star washers, grounding conductor, ground wire,
4mm spring washer and 4mm nuts on it. (Step A)

V. WIRING AND OVER CURRENT PROTECTION
(a) Wire Type: PV module interconnections should be 90 wet-rated conductors. An allowable wire type is using
USE-2 single conductor cable for exposed applications.
(b) Conductor Ampacity: Correct maximum current and ampacity calculations should be provided
for each circuit. The Ampacity of conductors must be sufficient for application:
1. The maximum PV source circuit current is the sum of parallel module rated short circuit currents
multiplied by 125 percent.
2. The minimum source circuit conductor ampacity is 125 percent of the maximum PV source circuit
current.
3. Minimum photovoltaic output circuit conductor ampacity is the sum of the maximum current of the
parallel source circuits times 1.25.
4. Minimum inverter output circuit conductor ampacity must be equal or greater than the inverter
continuous output current rating times 1.25.
(c) Overcurrent Protection: Necessary fuses or circuit breakers must be properly sized and specified for each circuit.
1. Source circuit overcurrent protection must be sized so that both the PV module and the conductor
from the module to the overcurrent device are properly protected. PV modules must be protected so
that the maximum series fuse rating, printed on the listing label, is not exceeded. It is important to
note that even though the listing label states “fuse” rating, a more accurate term would be the
maximum series overcurrent protection” rating since either a fuse or a circuit breaker may be used to
satisfy this listing requirement. The module may be protected either by installing fuses or circuit
breakers in a series string of modules or by the design of the PV system.
2. Battery (if used) overcurrent protection must have a sufficient voltage and ampere-interrupt rating
(AIR) to withstand the operating conditions of the battery system.
3. Inverter Output Circuit overcurrent protection should be sized and protected according the
manufacturers directions. The circuit and corresponding overcurrent protection should be sized at a
125% of the maximum continuous output of the inverter. The inverter may also have a maximum
allowable overcurrent requirement.
VI. ARRAY MOUNTING WARNING
Before PV array was mounted, the weight of array (pounds per square foot) is including the weight of the modules
and all panelizing hardware (e.g. modules, rails and associated hardware) must be calculated.
(a) If array is roof mounted:
1. If the weight distribution of the system greater than 5 lbs. per square foot, the engineering calculations is
required.
2.If the roof structure more than 30 years old, specify rafter or truss size and spacing—engineering
calculations may be required if non-standard.

3. It is strong recommend that to provide engineering details of PV panel mounting attachment to the roof
framing members. Several well-engineered mounting systems are now available for installers to use.
These designs often include detailed engineering specifications and details. Installers who use their own
designs will need to provide their own details and engineering calculations with their design.
(b) If array is ground mounted, and the mounting structure is unfamiliar to the local jurisdiction and is more than
six (6) feet above grade, it may require engineering calculations.
(c) If array on the roof, please keep 10mm gap between the roof and the modules.
VII. ELECTRICAL RATINGS
Rated electrical characteristic are within 10 percent of the indicated values of Isc, Voc, Pmax under Standard Test
Conditions (irradiance of 100mW/cm2, AM1.5 spectrum, and a cell temperature of 25°C (77°F). The warranty
condition is specified in the warranty card separately issued.

The above electrical characteristics are based on the results of out going test. Please do
not expose solar module
to sunlight concentrated with mirrors, lenses or similar means. Under normal conditions,
a photovoltaic module
may experience conditions that produce more current and /or voltage than reported at Standard Test Conditions.
Accordingly, the values of Isc and Voc marked on listed modules should be multiplied by a factor of 1.25 when
determining component voltage ratings, conductor capacities, fuse sizes and size of controls connected to the
module output. Refer to Section 690-8 of the National Electrical Code for an additional multiplying factor of 125
percent (80 percent de-rating) which may be applicable. Installation shall be in accordance with CSA C22.1,
Safety Standard for Electrical Installations, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1.Any modules all have a serial
number and
a label, the date and place of manufacture was marked on the label.
VIII. CAUTION
Never touch the end of output cables with bare hands when the module is irradiated. Cover the surface of
module
by sufficiently thick cloth or something suitable to prevent incident light, and handle the wires with rubber-
gloved
hands not to receive electric shock.
1. Do not wear metallic jewelry which may cause of electric shock during installation.
2. Consult the government office concerned for permit installation and inspection requirement.
3. Install modules and ground frames in accordance with applicable law of each country
4. Product should be installed and maintained by qualified personnel.
5. Do not drop tools or hard objects on the glass of solar module
6. Do not scratch the back film by hard objects
7. When part of solar module is shadowed, hot spot may be caused. Therefore do not shadow cells.
8. Do not pour chemicals on modules when cleaning.
9. Keep modules away from children.
10.Do not disconnect under load.
11.Keep 10cm gap between the roof and the modules for good ventilation.
