PS SERIES 10-INCH BEZEL REPLACEMENT
Introduction
If the glass on the 10-inch displays is damaged, the enttire bezel must be replaced in order to maintain
the seal around the glass. The following instructions explain how to replace the bezel.
Before You Start
You will need the following items:
• Bezel Replacement kit Model BZK-1001
• Bezel Replacement instructions
• Screwdriver
Precautions
The following precautions are essential during the installation of sensitive components:
Warning For safety reasons, the PowerStation should be opened only by qualified service
personnel.
Warning Be sure to observe electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions while working inside
the unit.
Electrostatic Discharge Precautions Preparation
Important Open the Electrostatic Discharge Kit and follow the directions for attaching the wrist strap and
handling sensitive electronic components.
Bezel Replacement
Open the unit
To open the unit, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the unit.
2. Disconnect the unit from the power source.
3. Disconnect all cables attached to the unit.
Caution Before you complete the next step, you must wear an ESD wrist strap connected to a good, known,
earth ground to avoid damaging the unit.

4. Remove the 12 screws on the sides of the unit that attach the backshell to the bezel.
5. Gently lift the backshell, as the touchscreen ribbon cable is still attached.
6. Gently pull the touchscreen ribbon cable through until the cable juncture is visible.
7. Detach the touchscreen cable from its extender.
Replace the Bezel
To replace the bezel, follow these steps:
1. Remove the old bezel from the backshell.
2. Place the new bezel beside the backshell.
3. Connect the touchscreen cable to its extender.
Note Carefully feed the touchscreen cable back into the unit so that the connector is behind the display.
Close the Unit
To close the unit, follow these steps:
1. Place the backshell on top of the bezel.
2. Screw in the 12 screws on the sides of the unit that attach the backshell to the bezel.
3. Reconnect the power and other cables to the unit.
4. Reconnect the unit to the power source.
The bezel replacement is complete. The unit may now be restarted.
