maintenance meter.
BLUETOOTH®ENABLED MAINTENANCE METER
PURPOSE:
To offer those customers who did not purchase a model that had the Bluetooth®enabled maintenance meter installed at
the factory, the option to install a Bluetooth®enabled maintenance meter that works with CUB CONNECT™.

RZT Installation Instructions:
1. Park the rider on a flat level surface. Engage the park-
ing brake. Lower deck to lowest position.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the nega-
tive battery terminal, then disconnect the positive battery
cable from the positive battery terminal.
3. Allow the unit to cool to ambient temperature before
proceeding.
4. Reach up inside of the right hand pod and disconnect
the main wire harness connector from the maintenance
meter by depressing the tab and pulling the connector
down. See Figure 2.
8. Make sure the top surface of the right hand pod is free
of the old label, dirt, etc. Clean as needed.
9. Install Item #1 (725-06221) Bluetooth®enabled Mainte-
nance meter in the square opening as shown In Figure 5.
NOTE: The terminal block must be at the bottom,
above the PTO switch as shown in Figure 5.

5. Carefully peel/remove the existing maintenance meter
label away from the pod and top of the maintenance
meter. See Figure 3.

6. Reach up inside of the right hand pod and squeeze the
two (2) tabs inward to release the maintenance meter
from the right hand pod.
7. Push the maintenance meter out the top of the right
hand pod. See Figure 4. Discard the maintenance meter.

10. Push the Bluetooth®enabled maintenance meter all
the way into the right hand pod until the two (2) tabs snap
in place.
11. Remove the black rectangular section from the center
of Item #3 (777I25406) RZT Bluetooth®enabled mainte-
nance meter label as shown in Figure 6 and discard.

13. Make sure all air bubbles are removed from under the
label.
14. Reach up inside the right hand pod and install the
wire harness connector to the Bluetooth®enabled main-
tenance meter. Confirm that the wire harness connector
snapped in place.
15. Connect the positive battery cable to the positive bat-
tery terminal, then connect the negative battery cable to
the negative battery terminal.
16. Turn the key to the on position, the new Bluetooth®
enabled maintenance meter display should show the
hours.
17. Start the rider and confirm the Bluetooth®enabled
maintenance meter is functioning correctly.
NOTE: Connect the Bluetooth®enabled maintenance
meter to your smartphone by downloading the Cub
Connect™App for your Bluetooth®capable Android
or iOS device. See Page 9 for instructions.
12. Install Item #3 (777I25406) RZT Bluetooth®enabled
maintenance meter label. Carefully align the label over
the maintenance meter so that the open rectangular sec-
tion is centered over the silver rectangular LCD display
and the left side of the label is aligned with the edge of
the throttle /choke control slot. See Figure 7.

XT1 or XT2 Installation Instructions:
18. Park the rider on a flat level surface. Engage the
parking brake.
19. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the nega-
tive battery terminal, then disconnect the positive battery
cable from the positive battery terminal.
20. Allow the unit to cool to ambient temperature before
proceeding.
21. Remove the steering wheel cap. See Figure 8.
26. Use a T-30 torx to remove the two (2) shoulder
screws that secure the steering shaft bearing to the
steering bearing mounting bracket. See Figure 11.

Squeeze The Tabs
22. Remove the 5/16-24 x 0.850” screw that retains the
steering wheel to the steering wheel shaft. See Figure 9.
23. Remove the steering wheel.
24. Open the hood.
25. Remove the dash cap shown in Figure 10 by squeez-
ing the two (2) tabs together, then pushing the dash cap
towards the seat.

27. Remove the steering shaft bearing by lifting up and
off the steering shaft.

28. Carefully peel/remove the existing maintenance
meter label away from the upper dash and top of the
maintenance meter. See Figure 12.

29. Reach inside the opening in the top of the upper dash
and remove the wire harness connector from the mainte-
nance meter. Depress the tab then pull the connector
down See Figure 13.

30. Reach inside the opening again and squeeze the two
(2) tabs on the sides of the maintenance meter while
pushing up and out of the upper dash. See Figure 14. A
small flat blade screw driver may be used to assist in the
removal of the maintenance meter.

31. Push the maintenance meter out of the upper dash.
Discard the maintenance meter.
32. Make sure the top surface of the upper dash is free of
the old label, dirt, etc. Clean as needed.
33. Install Item #1 (725-06221) Bluetooth®enabled main-
tenance meter in the square opening of the upper dash
as shown In Figure 15.
NOTE: The terminal block must be at the bottom of
the square opening as shown in Figure 15.
34. Push the Bluetooth®enabled maintenance meter all
the way into the upper dash until the two (2) tabs snap in
place.
35. Install the wire harness connector to the Bluetooth®
enabled maintenance meter. Confirm that the wire har-
ness connector snapped in place.
36. Remove the black rectangular section from the center
of Item #2 (777I25270) Rider Bluetooth®enabled mainte-
nance meter label as shown in Figure 16 and discard.

37. Install Item #2 (777I25270) Rider Bluetooth®enabled
maintenance meter label. Carefully align the label so that
the open rectangular section is centered over the silver
rectangular LCD display and parallel with the edge above
and below the Bluetooth®enabled maintenance meter
label. See Figure 17.

38. Make sure all air bubbles are removed from under the
label.
39. Install the steering shaft bearing over the steering
shaft. See Figure 18. Lower into position until the steer-
ing shaft bearing contacts the upper dash. See Figure 18.
40. Install the two (2) shoulder screws removed in Step
26 that secure the steering shaft bearing to the steering
bearing mounting bracket. Tighten the shoulder screws
to a torque of 68-85 in. lbs.
41. Install the dash cap. The dash cap has four (4) tabs
that lock into four holes in the top of the upper dash. See
Figure 19. NOTE: Only the two (2) right side tabs of
the dash cap and holes of the upper dash are visible
in Figure 19.
42. Set the dash cap on top of the upper dash so that it
just hangs over the back edge as shown circled in Figure
25. This positions the four (4) tabs of the dash cap into
the four (4) holes of the upper dash shown in Figure 20.

43. While holding light pressure downward, push the
dash cap towards the engine. This will allow the four (4)
tabs of the dash cap to lock into the four (4) holes of the
upper dash.
44. Figure 21 shows the rear locking tabs of the dash cap
in relation to the upper dash prior to Step 43 and after
Step 43.

45. When properly installed the dash cap will align as
shown in Figure 22 by the red dotted lines.
46. Make sure the front wheels are facing straight for-
ward prior to installing the steering wheel.
47. Position the steering wheel as shown in Figure 23,
then install the steering wheel onto the steering shaft until
it contacts the top of the steering shaft.

48. Install the 5/16-24 x 0.850” screw removed in Step 22
to secure the steering wheel to the steering shaft. Torque
the screw to 18-22 ft. lbs. (216-264 in. lbs.).
49. Install the steering wheel cap into the center of the
steering wheel. The steering wheel cap has three (3)
locking tabs with one being larger. The larger locking tab
is to be at the 6 O’clock position when installing into the
steering wheel. See Figure 29.

50. Close the hood.
51. Connect the positive battery cable to the positive bat-
tery terminal, then connect the negative battery cable to
the negative battery terminal.
52. Turn the key to the on position, the new Bluetooth®
enabled maintenance meter display should show the
hours.
53. Start the rider and confirm the Bluetooth®enabled
maintenance meter is functioning correctly.
NOTE: Connect the Bluetooth®enabled maintenance
meter to your smartphone by downloading the Cub
Connect™App for your Bluetooth®capable Android
or iOS device. See Page 9 for instructions
