iPhone5 Installation Slide the iPhone5 in the top of the case 1/2
way in. Plug Lightning power connector in base of iPhone. Slide
phone the rest of the way in. Your good to go!
iPhone5 Removal To remove iPhone5, grab phone from middle
top where nger slot is with thumb and nger, and pull iPhone out of
case 1/2 way. Unplug Lightning connector. Pull out the rest of the way
Fast Charging Input - Fast charger plugs into 3.5mm jack in base of
case. Plug fast charger into case THEN plug charger into outlet jack.
Two green LEDS will light when charging.

USB Charging Input - Micro B USB jack plugs into side of case.Two
green LEDS will light when charging.

Note: any 3.5mm OD, 1.5mm ID jack power supply of
4-15v 0.5-4A can be used as fast charger input.
Battery Depleted :Your phone will stop charging &
most phones will indicate USB power error when the
charger voltage drops below 5v & the charger battery
drops below 3v. Plug charger into charging source.
Fast Charging: Most smartphones, such as the Droid
Bionic or iPhone, can accept high USB charging rates
of up to 1.5A. This will normally charge a depleted
iPhone or 1400mah smartphone in 1 hour or less.
Note: charging case may get warm. This is normal.
iPhone4/4s: After charging phone, disconnect from
charger, or recharge POWERBLOC within 8 hours.
Iphone4/4s continue to draw significant power from
charger even when phone is switched off. Droid Bi-
onic does not draw significant power in off or standby.
Tips: If POWERBLOC is not going to be used for
over a week, unplug battery from charger (red connec-
tor). Battery will last for several years & retain charge
when unplugged.
Problem: Plugged in but charging LED not on &
voltage ok LED is on -leave 3.5mm jack plugged in.
Unplug from wall. Wait 30s or more. Plug back into
outlet. If charging light still does not come on, leave
plugged in for 1 hour, then repeat unplug, wait 30s,
replug. If battery is severely depleted, battery needs
slow pre-charge cycle. In pre-charge, charging light
does NOT come on.
Battery lifetime: Li-poly battery should last 2-3 years
with normal daily use. If repeatedly depleted to 3v,
lifetime will be shortened. Capacity will slowly de-
crease with age. Battery can be replaced - check our
website for replacement batteries.
12v Output Option: The POWERBLOC chargers have a
jumper selectable 12v ouput option. In fact by chang-
ing a resistor any regulated voltage from 3-15v & up
to 4A can be output.
