Introduction
Overview
The GFA 1015 contains a built-in 15" LCD monitor, PS/2 Mouse and 105-key keyboard
all in 1U high drawer. It allows you to save your space in file server environment.
High Video Quality
The built-in 15" TFT LCD monitor has a resolution up to 1024x768, and color depth up
to 16M ( dithering). Automatic adjustment is provided to easily configure your LCD
setting to get better visual quality.

GFA 1510A Monitor On-Screen Display Operation
The monitor control buttons are located on the upper right side of the monitor:
Power Switch
Use the po er s itch to turn po er to toggle the GFA 1510A monitor on or off. Turning
your system po er on first, then the GFA 1510A monitor.
Contrast/Increment Button & Contrast/Decrement Button
These t o buttons have t o functions:
• When the OSD screen is not activated, they are used to adjust the contrast.
• When the OSD screen is activated (When the Menu button is pressed),
they are used to increase or decrease the values of each selected item.
Brightness/Up Button & Brightness/Down Button
These t o buttons have t o functions:
• When the OSD screen is not activated, they are used to adjust the brightness.
• When the OSD screen is activated (When the Menu button is pressed),
they are used to select the desired adjustment controls.
Menu Button
Press the Menu button to toggle the OSD menu on and off. After 30 seconds of idle
time, the OSD menu ill automatically turn off.

Adjusting the GFA 1510A Monitor
The GFA 1510A monitor is designed to ork ith a range of compatible video adapters
on the market. Due to the possible deviations bet een these video adapters, you may
need to make some adjustments.
Manual Adjustment
First, you must activate the OSD screen by pressing the monitor Menu button;
the OSD menu ill appear in the center of the screen as belo :

Use the Up and the Do n buttons to scroll to the required adjustment menu selection.
Use the Increment and the Decrement buttons to adjust the desired function or go
select a second menu item.
Auto Adjustment
We strongly recommend that you use this feature to get optimized visual quality.
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select Auto-Adjustment, then press the Increment
or the Decrement button to adjust to the optimized quality.

Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select the RGB icon, then press the Increment or
the Decrement button, the screen ill display the follo ing:

Contrast Value Adjustment
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select the Contrast item, then press the Increment
and the Decrement buttons to adjust the contrast. You can adjust Red, Green, and Blue
simultaneously or separately.
Color Balance Adjustment
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select the Balance item, then press the Increment
and the Decrement buttons to adjust the color balance. You can adjust Red, Green, and
Blue simultaneously or separately.
Auto Balance
The easiest ay to adjust the contrast and color balance setting is to select Auto
Balance.

Geometry Adjustment
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select the Geometry icon, then press the
Increment and the Decrement buttons, the screen ill display the follo ing:

To go back to the previous OSD menu screen, press the Menu button.
Horizontal Position Adjustment
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select the Horizontal icon, then press the
Increment and the Decrement buttons to adjust the screen image placement left or
right.
Vertical Position Adjustment
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select the Vertical icon, then press the Increment
and the Decrement buttons to adjust the screen image placement up or do n.
Adjust the Screen Vie ing Size
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select to the Screen Size icon, then press the
Increment and the Decrement buttons to adjust the screen vie ing size.
Phase Adjustment
To reduce display flicker and instability, adjust the the display signal phase tracking.
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select Phase, then press the Increment and the
Decrement buttons to adjust image quality.

DOS TXT/GFX
Select the display mode as either 1024 x 768 (Graphic mode), or 640 x 400 (Text mode).
Color Temperature
There are three color temperature modes: User mode; 6500 and; 9300. Use the Up and
the Do n buttons to adjust the color temperature, then press the Increment and the
Decrement buttons to select the color temperature setting. The RGB value cannot be
changed hen the 6500 or 9300 color temperature mode is selected.
Brightness Adjustment
Use the Up and the Do n buttons to select the Brightness icon, press the Increment
and the Decrement buttons to change the brightness value.
Display Resolution Setting
In the OSD menu, you ill see the Horizontal Frequency (HF), Vertical Frequency (VF),
Display Resolution (MODE) and the monitor Firm are version (ROM LEVEL). This is
automatically detected by the monitor and is not user-adjustable.
