Cyclopital3D Filter/Close-up Adapter for
Sony PMW-TD300
Every serious filmmaker and photographer understands the
benefits of using polarizers and creative filters. The Cyclopital3D
Filter/Close-up Adapter (FCA) for the Sony TD300 camera
enables the use of polarizers, filters and auxiliary close-up
lenses.
This FCA set enables you to use 86mm or 95mm creative filters
and close-up lenses or two 37mm filters. If professional grade
rectangular filters are needed, the unit is compatible with the
Century Optics Sunshade with 4x4 pro filter holder.
Most of the optional attachments function the same way in a 3D
environment as they do in 2D, with the exception of close-up
lenses, which are fundamentally different. In 3D
cinematography, the close-up lens increases the range of
parallax by allowing the camera to achieve convergence on a
subject closer than what is possible without the additional close-
up lens. It also increases the common image seen by both
lenses, thus reducing the amount of image loss that can limit 3D
close-up photography and film-making.

Installation Instructions:
• To attach the FCA you must first remove the front bezel from
the camera by unscrewing the four small screws using a
cross-point screwdriver. The camera bezel screws can be
stored in the threaded holes of the FCA back cover.
• Attach the FCA to camera with the word “Cyclopital3D” on
the top using the four new thumb-screws provided. Do not
over-tighten the screws- finger tightening is sufficient and the
use of tools is not necessary.
• When the Century Optics lens shade is used with the
adapter, the lower right screw will not fit because it interferes
with the clamp on the shade. The filter is sufficiently secure
without using the fourth screw; you can leave off the 4th
screw or use the factory screw in the adapter.
Tips for use:
• The use of 95mm lens ring for filters and polarizers is
recommended to avoid vignetting.
• 86mm close-up lenses are recommended, such the included
Vivitar Series 1 Close-up lens set.

Warranty
Your adapter comes with a Limited Warranty against defects in workmanship and
materials for 30 days from the date of purchase. The limited warranty does not apply if the
product has been damaged by accident, mishandling, misuse, abuse, or alteration.
Care and Maintenance:
• If you drop the Filter/Close-up Adapter it will break. Please
treat it with the same care you would give to any expensive
camera lens. If the unit sustains impact damage it may be
possible to repair it using super glue (cyanoacrylate), which
bonds well to the composite material used in its construction.
