CY5672 QUICK START GUIDE
• Open the back cover, insert the AAA batteries and
move your nger on the trackpad of the PRoC BLE
remote control
• The blue LED, on dongle, glows to indicate successful
connection with the remote control
Note: The color of the actual product may differ from the color shown in images herein

• Start using the PRoC BLE remote control with your PC

• Unpack the kit which includes: 1. PRoCTM BLE remote
control, 2. CySmartTM USB dongle, 3. MiniProg3
programmer/debugger, 4. 10-pin ribbon cable,
5. Two M2 X 5 mm screws, 6. Two AAA batteries,
7. Phillips head screwdriver, 8. USB 2.0 standard-A to
mini-B cable
• This guide explains how to evaluate the PRoC BLE
remote control using any PC
• Connect the CySmart USB dongle to a USB port on a PC
• The red LED glows to indicate that the dongle is
powered, the green LED glows to indicate that the
enumeration has nished on the dongle side and the
blue LED breathes slowly to indicate that dongle is
scanning for the remote control
Note: Time taken to complete enumeration on the PC,
for the rst time, depends on the driver installation time

The PRoC BLE remote control supports:
• Plug-and-play microphone functionality with the CySmart USB dongle (can be tested with any application like
Sound Recorder on Windows)
• Trackpad with gestures (mapped to Windows functions for demonstration) like:
- Finger tracking for cursor movement, one-nger tap for left click and two-nger tap for right click
- Two-nger pinch in/out for zoom in/out
- One-nger swipe at right and bottom edges for vertical and horizontal scrolling* respectively
- One-nger swipe down on top edge to go to Start Screen (for Windows 8 and later)
• Six-axis motion sensing for cursor movement
• Buttons for left click, right click, volume control, power**, channel control**, return** and source** functions
• Bluetooth Smart and Infrared (IR) connectivity
• LED indications for low battery and connection status
• 10-pin header to enable programming and debugging using MiniProg3
