instructions marked on the machine
When choosing a location for this fixation unit.
Avoid places subject to rapid changes in temperature and humidity. Also keep it away from direct
sunlight, strong light, or heat sources.
Avoid places subject to shocks and vibrations.
Place this product near the fixation unit where the plug can be easily unplugged.
Keep this fixation unit away from dusty areas.
Place this machine on a flat, stable surface that is larger than this product. This product will not operate
properly if it is tilted or at an angle.
Connect to an electric outlet that complies with this machine's ratings (for voltage, frequency, and
current). Incorrect voltage or insufficient current may cause fire or electric shock.
Never use this fixation unit out of doors or in any location where exposure to water or high humidity
may occur. Never touch with wet hands. Doing so may result in fire or electric shock.
Never place any flammable object nearby. Never use a combustible aerosol spray nearby. Never use

When using an extension cord or power strip, use one that adequately satisfies the machine's ratings
(for voltage, frequency, and current). Use of multiple electric loads on a single electric outlet or of a
lengthy extension cord may cause fire.
Connect it to ground. This can prevent fire or electric shock due to current leakage in the event of
malfunction.
Position it so that the power plug is within immediate reach at all times. This is to enable quick
disconnection of the power plug in the event of an emergency. Install the machine next to an electric
outlet. Also, provide enough empty space to allow immediate access to the electric outlet.
When setting up this fixation unit.
Avoid electrical outlets controlled by wall switches or automatic timers.
Connect all equipment to properly grounded power outlets. Avoid using outlets on the same circuit as
copiers or air control systems that regularly switch on and off.
Keep the entire computer system away from potential sources of electromagnetic interference, such
as loudspeakers or the base units of cordless telephones.
Use only the type of power source indicated on the product’s label.
Use only the power cord that comes with this product. Use of another cord may result in fire or electric
shock.
Do not use a damaged or frayed power cord.
This product’s power cord is for use with this product only. Use with other equipment may result in fire
or electric shock.
Connect all equipment to properly grounded power outlets. Avoid using outlets on the same circuit as
copiers or air control systems that regularly switch on and off.
Entrust operations such as transportation, unloading, and emplacement to trained technicians.
Handling requires special equipment and training. Performing operations in an unreasonable manner
may result in a major accident.
Install the fixation unit in a location that is level, stable, and able to bear the weight of the machine.
Installation in an unsuitable location may cause major accidents, including tip-over, fall, or collapse.
Be sure to anchor the stand to the floor. If the machine begins to topple, a major accident may follow,
including crushing of the appendages or the body.

HEATER 1 SV.
This is the temperature set value. Press ENTER and modify this value using the arrow keys (Left/right to
change position and up/down to increase/decrease the value). Then press ENTER button again to
confirm. Press the right arrow key to turn the heater ON/OFF. X means OFF. O means ON.
HEATER 1 PV.
This is the present temperature value. This value is read by the thermocouple installed inside the
machine where the heating rods are located.
HEATER 1 OV.
Set temperature value’s over value in percentage. The thermostat allows the present temperature value
to fluctuate. The thermostat will switch off the heater if the PV exceeds the preset percentage of SV.
Example: SV=175°C / OV: 60%. The PV will vary from 175 to 175+105°C (60% of 175°C). The heater will
turn ON and OFF many times if the OV is very low. Increasing electric consumption.
HEATER 1 OFF.
Under AUTO conditions if the printer’s carriage goes back to the home position the fixation unit will
interpret that the printer is in standby. The heater will be turned off automatically after a certain period of
time (in seconds) from the moment the printer became idle.
HEATER 2.
The heater number two is basically a rubber heater located under the printing table for extra drying. The
power input to this rubber heater is shown in percentage. This printer does not include HEATER 2.
TORQUE.
Possible to regulate the torque value (in percentage) of the take-up unit located in the fixation unit. The
powder clutch equipped in the fixation unit is the device that regulates the torque.
TAKE-UP.
Possible to regulate the RPM (in percentage) of the take-up unit located in the fixation unit.
X means OFF. O means ON.
DIR.
Possible to change the direction of rotation of the take-up unit.
FORWARD: the lower rubber roller (traction) rotates counter-clockwise.
BACKWARD: the lower rubber roller (traction) rotates clockwise.
SUCTION.
Possible to switch ON/OFF the fume buster connected to the fixation unit.
X means OFF. O means ON.
SUCTION OFF.
Under AUTO conditions if the printer’s carriage goes back to the home position the fixation unit will
interpret that the printer is in standby. The fume buster will be turned off automatically after a certain
period of time (in seconds) from the moment the printer became idle.
ROLLER UP/DOWN.
Possible to higher/lower the up/down roller to make the media go through the heating rods for fixing.
X means DOWN. O means UP.
ROLLER DOWN.
Under AUTO conditions if the printer’s carriage goes back to the home position the fixation unit will
interpret that the printer is in standby. The up/down roller will be lowered automatically after a certain
period of time (in seconds) from the moment the printer became idle.

Caution
Before regulating values, we strongly suggest the user to check first under which conditions is the fixation
unit working in. Either in AUTO or MANUAL mode.
Note
We suggest the user to set a HEATER OV value greater than 40% in order not to have the fixation unit
turning ON/OFF many times in a short period of time.
Note
We suggest a SV of 175°C for most fabrics. Note that all fabrics are not the same. Please contact the
fabric manufacturer for more information regarding the recommended temperature for fixing.
Note
Note that some printers are not provided with HEATER 2 (rubber heater located in the printing table for
extra drying). Ask your local dealer if your machine is provided with HEATER 2 or not.
Note
We suggest the user to keep low torque and speed values at the take-up unit to avoid inverter errors and
prevent the inductive motor and power clutch from overheating.
