Hardware
The D-Link DAS-3626 VDSL over Ethernet solutions require the following hardware com onents:
1. The D-Link DAS-3626 Switch. Read below for descri tion.
2. The D-Link VDSL2 Home Gateway CPE used to connect subscribers. One er VDSL subscriber ort.
The switches and CPE include a built-in DSL s litter to se arate voice and data s ectrum.
Packing List
Before you begin installing the switch, confirm that your ackage contains the following items:
•One DAS-3626 VDSL Over Ethernet Switch
•Mounting kit: 2 mounting brackets and screws
•Four rubber feet with adhesive backing
•One AC ower cord
Front Panel
The front anel of the DAS-3626 Switch as shi ed:

•Front anel of DAS-3626 features LED indicators (described below), ower insert, fan module insert, two
female RJ-21 orts (POTS and VDSL) and one RS-232 female console ort.
•The DAS-3626 rovides two u link o tions, two SFP orts or two co er 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet
orts.
•An AC ower connector.
•A DC ower connector, as described below:

Connecting DC Power Supply
Follow the instructions below to connect the DC ower su ly of the switch to a DC ower source.

To connect the DC ower su ly:
1. Firmly attach the DC ower to the negative and ositive contacts on the wiring assembly.
•The negative ole (-) connects to the -48V contact.
•The ositive ole (+) connects to the -48V Return contact.
•If available, the earth ground may be connected to the FG contact ost.
2. Tighten the contact screws so the connection is secure.
Connecting AC Power Supply
Follow the instructions below to connect the AC ower su ly of the switch to a AC ower source.

To connect the AC ower su ly:
1. Firmly attach the AC ower to the contacts on the wiring assembly.
•The Line wire (L) connects to the Line contact.
•The Neutral wire (N) connects to the Neutral contact.
•If available, the earth ground may be connected to the FG contact ost.
2. Tighten the contact screws so the connection is secure.
When both AC and DC ower are connected,
the ower su ly connection should look similar
to the exam le in Figure 4.

LED Indicators
The LED indicators of the switch include Power, Console, and Link/Act. All LED indicators are visible on the front
anel. The following shows the LED indicators for the switch along with an ex lanation of each indicator.
Power management LEDs
AC Active: Lights green when AC ower source is in use.
DC Active: Lights green when DC ower source is in use.
AC Pwr: Lights green when AC ower source is available for use.
DC Pwr: Lights green when AC ower source is available for use.
Power (PWR) This indicator will light steady green as soon as the switch is owered on. It will
remain lit as long as ower is su lied.
System (SYS) This indicator will blink green during the boot u . It will light steady green to
indicate the ready state of the device.
Alarm (ALM) Lights red if either the tem erature or voltage exceed an u er threshold or fall
below a lower threshold.
FAN Lights red if any system fan has failed or is not working ro erly.
MGMT
This indicator will light steady green for active 1 Gb s connection to the
Management ort, an amber light indicates a 100Mb s connection. The light
remains dark if the link is down or for a 10Mb s connection. Ra id blinking
indicates Transmit and Receive activity.
VDSL2 Line
(24 Line LEDs)
One indicator er ort. These indicators light green when the VDSL link is u
and are dark if there is no link. During training the indicator slowly blinks green.
Ra id blinking indicates Transmit and Receive activity.
ombo GE Ports 25 and 26
(2 LEDs)
One indicator er ort. The Link LED lights green to confirm a valid link. Ra id
blinking indicates Transmit and Receive activity.

Management
The system may be managed in-band or out-of-band using the Management Ethernet ort, which will allow
users to connect to it using the imbedded web GUI, or through Telnet. Administrators may also use the console
ort on the front anel to connect to the switch’s CLI management interface. The console interface rovides
com lete access to all switch management features.
Rear and Side Panels
Do not block the vent holes on the right side and rear of the switch housing. The left anel vent holes are used to
dis erse heat from the system fan.

Installation
Before you connect to the network, you must install the switch on a flat surface or in a rack, set u a terminal
emulation rogram, lug in the ower cord, and then set u a assword and IP address.
The switch is su lied with rubber feet for stationing it on a flat surface and mounting brackets and screws for
mounting the switch in a rack.
Switch Placement
The switch is designed for mounting in an EIA standard-sized, 19-inch rack, which can be laced in a wiring
closet with other equi ment. Make certain the location of the equi ment rack is sufficiently dry and cool and, all
network attachments and the ower cord are connected to the device on the front anel.
•Attach the rubber feet to all switches that will be installed to maintain a minimum s ace between
the devices and to avoid damaging the equi ment housing.
•The ower outlet or ower source should be within 1.82 meters (6 feet) of the device.
•Visually ins ect the ower attachment and see that it is secured to the DC ower connector.
•Make sure that there is ro er heat dissi ation from and adequate ventilation around the switch.
Leave at least 5 cm of s ace on the right and left sides, as well as 5cm on the rear of the equi ment for
ventilation.
•Cables attach at the front. Make sure there is am le room to access cable connections.
•Do not lace heavy objects on the switch.
NOTICE: Attach the included rubber feet to the switch or switches
before installing it in the rack. All equipment in the rack should have
rubber feet attached, to maintain the minimum space needed
between devices and to protect the device housing from being
damaged.
Installing the Switch without the Rack
1. Install the switch on a level surface that can safely su ort the weight of the switch and its attached
cables. The switch must have adequate s ace for ventilation and for accessing cable connectors.
2. Set the switch on a flat surface and check for ro er ventilation. Allow at least 5 cm (2 inches) on each
side of the switch and 15 cm (6 inches) at the back for the ower cable.
3. Attach the rubber feet on the marked locations on the bottom of the chassis.
4. The rubber feet, although o tional, are recommended to kee the unit from sli ing.
Power On
The switch rovides the o tion of using DC or AC ower su ly. The switch’s ower su ly will adjust to the
local ower source automatically and may be owered on without having any or all network cables connected.
When the switch is lugged in, the Power LED indicator will light steady green.
Power Failure
As a recaution in the event of a ower failure, un lug the switch. When ower is resumed, lug the switch back
in.

Installing the Switch in a Rack
You can install the switch in most standard 19-inch (48.3-cm) racks. Refer to the illustrations below.
1. Use the su lied screws to attach a mounting bracket to each side of the switch.
2. Align the holes in the mounting bracket with the holes in the rack.
3. Insert and tighten two screws through each of the mounting brackets.

Attaching RJ-21 onnectors
The exam les below illustrate the two styles of connectors used for RJ-21 cable connections.

Network onnections
The artial front view of the DAS-3626 Switch in the diagram below illustrates all network connectors as well as
the RS-232 console ort.

The required connections for full POTS and VDSL o eration are as follows:
1. Connect the female RJ-21 rece tacle labeled POTS to the PBX (analog channel to Central Office) for basic
tele hone services with Telco50 cable.
2. Connect the female RJ-21 rece tacle labeled VDSL to atch anel for connection to CPE (via 0.4mm or
0.5mm twisted- air tele hone cabling). This connection is made using Telco50 cable with a male RJ-21
connector to the Main Distribution Frame, Cabling Cabinet, atch anel or other tele hone distribution
system used for connection the end users.
3. U link to backbone via Gigabit SFP ort(s) “mini-GBIC” (single or multimode fiber). The DAS-3626 includes
the o tion of using RJ-45 1000BASE-T ort(s) for the u link. If you refer to use the 1000BASE-T orts on
the DAS-3626, configuration is required to enable the orts (and disable the SFP orts).
4. The Gigabit orts may be used to trunk with another DAS-3626. This requires configuration to s ecify the
ort will be used for trunking (config interface switch port-trunking).
Network cable connections can be made to the switch with the ower on or off. Caution should always be used
when working with or handling any electrically owered devices.
For initial set u and management, connect the male RS-232 ort to the com uter used for switch configuration
and management using RS-232 cable.
NOTE: In the illustration below, a telephone patch panel is used only
to illustrate the connection to the subscriber or end user.

onnection to End User
The se arated signals for both VDSL and POTS service are carried to subscribers via standard 0.4mm or
0.5mm twisted- air tele hone cabling. Connection to the CPE is made with standard RJ-11 connectors that are
familiar to the subscriber. The CPE device is a sim le bridge and does not require that any driver or software to
use. Subscriber CPE and connection conditions can be managed through the switch.
Using the CLI
The DAS-3626 su orts a console management interface that allows the user to connect to the switch’s
management agent via a serial ort and a terminal or a com uter running a terminal emulation rogram. The
console can also be used over the network using the TCP/IP Telnet rotocol. The console rogram can be used
to configure the switch to use SNMP-based network management software over the network.
This section describes how to use the console interface to access the switch, change its settings, and monitor its
o eration.
Note: Switch configuration settings are saved to non-volatile AM using the
system config save command. The current configuration will then be
retained in the switch’s NV- AM, and reloaded when the switch is
rebooted. If the switch is rebooted without using the save command, the
last configuration saved to NV- AM will be loaded.

onnecting to the Switch
The console interface is used by connecting the switch to a VT100-com atible terminal or a com uter running an
ordinary terminal emulator rogram (e.g., the HyperTerminal rogram included with the Windows o erating
system) using an RS-232C serial cable. Your terminal arameters will need to be set to:
•VT-100 compatible
•115200 baud
•8 data bits
•No parity
•One stop bit
•No flow control
Users can also access the same functions over a Telnet interface. Once users have set an IP address for your
Switch, users can use a Telnet rogram (in VT-100 com atible terminal mode) to access and control the switch.
All of the screens are identical, whether accessed from the console ort or from a Telnet interface.
After the switch reboots and users have logged in, the console looks like this:

Внимательно прочитайте данный раздел перед установкой и подключением устройства. Убедитесь,
что устройство и кабели не имеют механических повреждений. Устройство должно быть использовано
только по назначению, в соответствии с руководством по установке.
Температура окружающей среды в непосредственной близости от устройства и внутри его корпуса должна
быть в пределах от 0 до +65 °C.
Электропитание должно соответствовать параметрам электропитания, указанным в технических
характеристиках устройства.
Не вскрывайте корпус устройства! Перед очисткой устройства от загрязнений и пыли отключите
питание устройства. Удаляйте пыль с помощью влажной салфетки. Не используйте
жидкие/аэрозольные очистители или магнитные/статические устройства для очистки. Избегайте
попадания влаги в устройство.
Срок службы устройства – 2 года.
Гарантийный период исчисляется c момента приобретения устройства у официального дилера на
территории России и стран СНГ и составляет один год.
Вне зависимости от даты продажи гарантийный срок не может превышать 2 года с даты производства
изделия, которая определяется по 6 (год) и 7 (месяц) цифрам серийного номера, указанного на
наклейке с техническими данными.
Год: 9 - 2009, A - 2010, B - 2011, С - 2012, D - 2013, E - 2014, F - 2015, G - 2016.
Месяц: 1 - январь, 2 - февраль, ..., 9 - сентябрь, A - октябрь, B - ноябрь, С - декабрь.
При обнаружении неисправности устройства обратитесь в сервисный центр или группу технической
поддержки D-Link.
Устройство предназначено для эксплуатации в сухом, чистом, незапыленном и хорошо проветриваемом
помещении с нормальной влажностью, в стороне от мощных источников тепла. Не используйте его на
улице и в местах с повышенной влажностью. Не размещайте на устройстве посторонние предметы.

Аппаратная часть
Решения VDSL over Ethernet на основе D-Link DAS-3626 требуют следующих аппаратных компонентов:
1. VDSL2 IP DSLAM D-Link DAS-3626.
2. Домашний шлюз CPE VDSL2 D-Link для подключения абонентов. Oдин на порт абонента VDSL.
IP DSLAM и абонентское оборудование (CPE) содержат встроенный DSL-сплиттер для разделения
частот голосового сигнала и данных.

Проверьте по списку наличие всех компонентов и убедитесь, что они не повреждены.

1. Надежно подключите провода от источника питания постоянного тока к отрицательному и
положительному контактам.
•Отрицательный полюс (-) подключается к контакту -48V.
•Положительный полюс (+) подключается к контакту -48V Return.
•При наличии, кабель заземления можно подключить к контакту FG.

Индикаторы
Индикаторы управления питанием
AC Active: Горит зеленым цветом, когда используется источник питания переменного тока.
Питание (PWR) Индикатор постоянно горит зеленым цветом, если питание устройства
включено.
Система (SYS)
Индикатор мигает зеленым цветом во время загрузки. Индикатор постоянно
горит зеленым цветом, если устройство готово к работе.
Alarm (ALM)
Индикатор горит красным цветом, если значение температуры или напряжения
превышает допустимый порог или находится ниже допустимого порога.
FAN Горит красным цветом, если какой-либо вентилятор системы вышел из
строя или не работает надлежащим образом.
MGMT
Индикатор постоянно горит зеленым цветом, если к порту управления выполнено
подключение на скорости 1 Гбит/с, или желтым цветом, если подключение
выполнено на скорости 100 Мбит/с. Индикатор не горит, если подключение
выполнено на скорости 10 Мбит/с или соединение не установлено. Индикатор быстро

Управление
Система поддерживает управление in-band или out-of-band через Ethernet-порт управления, который
позволяет пользователям подключиться к устройству с помощью Web-интерфейса или через Telnet.
Администраторы также могут использовать консольный порт, расположенный на передней панели

Установка
Перед подключением устройства к сети необходимо установить его на плоской поверхности или в стойку,
установить программу эмуляции терминала, подключить кабель питания, а затем настроить пароль и IP-адрес.
В комплект поставки входят резиновые ножки для размещения устройства на плоской поверхности, а также
кронштейны и винты для установки устройства в стойку.
Размещение устройства
Устройство может быть установлено в 19-дюймовую стойку EIA, которая, как правило, размещается в
серверной комнате вместе с другим оборудованием. Убедитесь, что стойка расположена в сухом и хорошо
проветриваемом помещении.
•Прикрепите резиновые ножки к нижней панели DAS-3626.
•Электрическая розетка или источник питания должна/должен находиться не более чем в 1,82 метре
от устройства.
•Осмотрите источник питания и убедитесь, что он надежно подключен к соответствующему разъему

доступа к кабельным соединениям.
2. Оставьте по меньшей мере 5 см пространства сбоку устройства и 15 см сзади устройства для
подключения кабеля питания.
3. Прикрепите резиновые ножки к нижней панели устройства.
Включение питания
Для питания устройства можно использовать источник как постоянного, так и переменного тока. Устройство
автоматически выполнит согласование с локальным источником питания.
Когда питание устройства будет включено, индикатор питания будет постоянно гореть зеленым цветом.
Сбой питания
В случае сбоя питания устройство должно быть отключено. После восстановления питания включите
устройство снова.
