GENERAL
The RA708 type weatherproof telephone from DAC Limited
is designed to provide a reliable communications terminal for
many arduous communications applications.
This telephone has been designed for use with certain
types of Central Battery manual exchanges.
The telephone can be connected as an extension, on certain
types of PBX [see details under ‘line connections’] or via a
standard BT telephone socket, where the CB feature has
been enabled.
MOUNTING OPTIONS
Wall Mounting
Use reducing washers [supplied as
part of installation kit] to affix to wall
through telephone backplate.
Top of Pole Mounting
Top of pole mounting bracket avail-
able from DAC Limited
Pole or Post Mounting
Use pole mounting adaptor bracket
[supplied as part of installation kit]
and band at required height on pole.

LINE CONNECTION
The number of telephones that can be connected to a direct
exchange line PBX is limited to the ringer equivalence number
[REN] of all the telephones connected, which should not ex-
ceed a total value of 4. The REN value of this telephone is 1.
In case of doubt please contact your telephone supplier.

phone installer or network supplier.
