Installation Instructions
Installing the Range
1. Peel off the protective layer of plastic that covers the range
and the door panel.
Freestanding Installation
2. Measure from the floor to the countertop and adjust the
leveling legs as required to position the top frame at the
desired height, based on the cabinet and countertop
installation.
3. Carefully slide the range into position in the cutout. As you
slide the unit into place the appropriate rear leg should
engage the anti-tip bracket.
4. Using a flashlight look underneath the range and verify that
the anti-tip bracket covers the rear leg.
Self-Rimming Installation
Installation of the range in the self-rimming configuration is
slightly different from freestanding installation since the range top
overhangs the countertop cutout.
1. Measure from the floor to the countertop.
2. Adjust the leveling legs to position the bottom edge of the
range top trim at countertop height.
3. Carefully slide the range into position in the cutout. As you
slide the unit into place the rear leg should engage the anti-
tip bracket.
4. Using a flashlight look underneath the range and verify that
the anti-tip bracket covers the rear leg.
Re-installing the Oven Door and
Kick Panel
1. Grasp the oven door on opposite sides and lift it until the door
hinges are aligned with the openings in the oven frame.
2. Holdingthedooratabouta30˚anglefromthehorizontal,
slide the hinges into the openings until the bottom hinge arms
drop fully into the hinge receptacles.
3. Lower the door to the fully opened position, and then rotate
the two hinge catches toward the oven.
4. Open and close the door completely to ensure that it is
properly installed.
5. Reinstall the kick panel.
Verifying Proper Operation
• Prior to operating the range, please read the accompanying
use and care manual carefully. Important safety, service and
warranty information are contained within.
• When the unit is powered on for the first time, the cooktop
control will go through a self-check routine. When the self-
check is complete, the cooktop control will go into secure
mode. See the use and care manual for secure mode
instructions.
1. Turn on the power supply to the range.
2. Set the time of day by pressing the CLOCK key and then
pressing either of the TIME • TEMP keys ( “ +” or “ -” keys)
to advance or reduce the time in the display in the desired
setting.
3. Turn on an element by tapping the ON/OFF key with your
finger, then set the heat level by tapping the number area
of the desired element control. The element will come on at
a setting of the number touched and may be adjusted up or
down by sliding your finger left and right across the numbers.
4. Activate the dual outer element by tapping the circle key at
the end of the number area (third row), then slide your finger
left to right finger up or down on the third row of numbers.
The outer ring element will come on at a setting of the
number touched last.
5. To turn the element off, tap the ON/OFF key. You may turn off
all active elements at the same time by tapping CANCEL •
SECURE twice.
6. If either the oven or cooktop does not operate properly, follow
these troubleshooting steps:
◊ Verify that power is being supplied to the range.
◊ Check the electrical connections to ensure that the
installation has been completed correctly.
◊ Repeat the above tests.
◊ If the appliance still does not work, contact Dacor
Distinctive Service at (877) 337-3226. Do not attempt
to repair the appliance yourself. If you need service, be
sure to have the model and serial numbers available
when you call. See inside cover for location.
