IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed. These instructions should be
saved for future reference:
• Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds
with that of the local network before connecting the appliance
to the mains power supply.
• Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions
before using this Egg Cooker
• Do not immerse the appliance or its cord in water or any other
liquids.
• Close supervision is required when using this appliance near
children.
• Never leave this appliance within reach of children.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the
mains supply.
• Always use this appliance on a solid, level, non-flammable
surface.
• Do not use this appliance outdoors.
• It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the appliance
has been used, before it is cleaned and whilst being repaired.

qualified electrician. Improper repairs may place user at

• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged plug or cord,
after a malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any

• Regular, periodic checks should be carried out on the mains

signs of damage the appliance should not be used.

come in contact with hot surfaces.
• Do not run the mains cable under carpets, rugs, etc.

• This Egg Cooker is only designed to cook eggs, any other
foodstuffs may cause damage to the appliance.
Description of Parts
Before First Use
1. Remove all packaging materials
2. Wash the egg rack and poaching tray in warm soapy water and dry
thoroughly.

Using the measuring cup
The measuring cup has markings
on the side to make it simple to
cook your eggs exactly as you want
them. (See Fig.1). In the bottom of
the measuring cup there is a
piercing pin to pierce the shell of
your eggs prior to cooking.

1. Fill the measuring cup to the firmness mark required, taking into
account the number of eggs to be cooked.
2. Pour the water onto the heating plate then follow the instruction
according to the style of cooking required.
Caution: The piercing pin is sharp and care must be taken when using it
Boiling:
1. Fill the measuring cup to the desired level with cold water.
2. Pour the water onto the heating plate.
3. Sit the egg rack in position.
4. Use the piercing pin to pierce the larger end of each egg and place
onto the egg rack with the pierced holes uppermost.
5. Close the lid
6. Plug the egg cooker into a suitable wall socket.
7. Press the On button, the indicator light will illuminate to indicate
that the Egg Cooker is working.
8. The indicator light will turn off when cooking is complete. Unplug
the Egg Cooker and remove the lid.
9. Take the eggs from the egg rack and serve.
Caution: The eggs will be hot, use a suitable oven glove or similar
to remove them from the egg cooker.
Poaching:
1. Fill the measuring cup with cold water to the level marked Medium
– 1 egg.
2. Pour the water onto the heating plate and place the egg rack into
position.
3. Lightly grease the poaching tray with butter or margarine.
4. Break 1-2 eggs into the poaching tray.
5. Place the poaching tray onto the egg rack and close the lid.
6. Plug the egg cooker into a suitable wall socket.
7. Press the On button. The indicator light will illuminate to indicate
the Egg Cooker is working.
8. The indicator light will turn off when the eggs are cooked, unplug
the Egg Cooker and remove the lid.
9. Using a suitable oven glove remove the poaching tray and serve.

Omelette:
1. Beat the egg(s) in a bowl and add your omelette ingredients such
as cheese, onion, peppers or cooked meats.
2. Lightly grease the poaching tray using butter or margarine and
pour the omelette mixture in.
3. Follow the instructions for poaching eggs.
Note: Allow the Egg Cooker to cool for 30 minutes before reuse.
Unplug the Egg Cooker to switch off. The On button is a resettable
thermostat that switches on when pressed once and resets itself after a
cooking cycle. Pressing the On button will not switch off the Egg
Cooker.
Do Not remove the lid during the cooking cycle as this allows steam to
escape and reduces the cooking temperature and will affect the cooking
result.
Tips:
Use fresh eggs for best results.
Allow eggs to reach room temperature before cooking.
Eggs are best served immediately.
If you are setting aside boiled eggs for later, run under cold water and
remove the shell before storing.

Electrical Connections
This appliance is fitted with a fused three-pin plug to BS 1363. If the plug
has to be removed, it should be cut off and carefully disposed of
immediately. To avoid a possible shock hazard, do not insert the discarded
plug into a mains socket.

Fitting a new plug
The mains lead must be connected as shown below. The wires are
coloured with the following code - Brown wire = Live (L), Blue wire =
Neutral (N), Green & Yellow = Earth (E).
• The Blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured
Black.
• The Brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured
Red.
• The Green & Yellow wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or
coloured Green.
• Check that there are no cut or stray strands of wire inside the plug.
• Use a 13 Amp BS 1362 fuse, only use BSI or ASTA approved fuses.
• If you are in any way unsure which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a
qualified electrician.
• After replacing or changing a fuse on a moulded plug, the cover must be
refitted to the plug; the appliance must not be used without a fuse cover.

Ham & Cheese Omelette
Ingredients
• 1 egg
• 1 onion, peeled and chopped
• 1 slice ham, finely chopped
• ½ tomato, finely chopped
• 1 tablespoon grated cheese
• 1 pinch of pepper
• 1 pinch of mixed herbs
• ¼ bag mixed salad

Soft Boiled Eggs with
Parmesan Soldiers
Ingredients
• 4 eggs
• 4 slices of bread
• Butter
• Grated parmesan
1. Lightly beat the egg in a bowl before
combining all the ingredients together.
2. Fill the measuring cup with cold water
to the level marked ‘medium – 1 egg’.
3. Pour the water onto the cooking plate
and place the egg rack on top.
4. Grease the poaching tray and pour the
omelette mixture into the poaching tray.
5. Place the poaching tray on top of the
egg rack.
6. Close the lid.
7. Plug the Egg Cooker in and switch on
at the wall.
8. Press the On button. The indicator
light will illuminate to indicate that the
Egg Cooker is now working.
9. The indicator light will turn off when the
eggs are ready. Unplug the Egg Cooker
and remove the lid.
10. Remove the poaching tray and turn
the omelette onto a plate, sprinkle with
more grated cheese, and serve with
salad.

Eggs Benedict with homemade Hollandaise and crispy Parma Ham
Ingredients
• 1 Breakfast muffin
• 2 slices Parma Ham
• 1 egg
• Hollandaise sauce
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 tbsp. hot water
• 1 tbsp. Lemon Juice

1. Begin by making the sauce. Put the
egg yolk into a glass bowl and lightly
whisk.
2. Add 1 tbsp. hot water and the salt.
3. Continue to whisk as you add the
lemon, until the mixture is pale in
colour.
4. Add the butter.
5. Place the glass bowl over pan with
simmering water on a low heat.
6. Continue to whisk and cook for a few
minutes until the butter has fully melted
and everything combines.
7. When the sauce begins to thicken,
take off the heat and season with a
pinch of pepper.
8. Now the sauce is done, cut your
English muffins in half ready to be
toasted.
9. Plug in your Egg Cooker and follow
the instructions for poaching.
10. Whilst your egg is poaching, fry
your slices of parma ham in a hot pan
until crispy and toast your English
muffin.
11. To serve, lay your slices of crispy
parma ham on top of the toasted muffin
and top with poached egg. Spoon the
hollandaise sauce over the eggs and
serve at once.
