• Unstable installation causes vibration and
noise of refrigerator.
• Wooden floor or carpet can be discolored

3. Looks out of order but is not
■Before calling for service, check the followings.
Foods freeze in the fresh food compartment
■ Has the temperature been on “3” continuously?
■ Is the temperature near to the refrigerator less than 5˚C?
■ Was moist foods such as bean-curd or vegetables put just in front of the cold air duct?
The refrigerator never got cold.
■ Is there a power failure?
■ Is the refrigerator unplugged? If so, plug firmly in.
The refrigerator does not get cold enough.
■ Has the temperature been on “1” continuously? If so, set the temperature to “2”.
■ Has too hot food been put in? Check food storage state.
■ Is the inside filled with too much food?
■ Is either door open or did you open and shut the doors too often?
■ Is there a gas range or a stove near the refrigerator? Is it in direct sun-light? Check the installation place.
The refrigerator is noisy.
■ Is the floor firm and level or is the refrigerator levelled well ?
■ Is the back of refrigerator touching the wall ?

Moisture disappears naturally if
doors are closed, but it’s better to
wipe it off with dry cloth.
■ Is the evaporator dish empty and
dry? If not, do this.

■ Is strong odoring food stored
unwrapped? Check the food storage
state.
* The vegetable cases are closed, so
deodorazing is almost impossible.
Moisture collects inside. Water is flowing out when
moving the refrigerator. Something smells.

There sounds like there is water-
flowing in the refrigerator.
Doors are not
opened easily.
• Moisture can be formed during the bad weather or continuous hot and
humid days.
Wipe out the surface with dry cloth.
• The sound can be heard when the compressor stops.
The refrigerant to cool down the system can make such sound.
• Such case happens when you open the door right after closing it.
Do not try to force the doors to open; wait about 30 seconds or so.
Front feels warm.

• Front part of cabinet may feel warm because of the hot-pipe to prevent
the forming of moisture.
• When the parts inside shrink and expand due to temperature change,
such sound can be heard.
• When you shut the fresh food compartment door quickly, the freezer
compartment door may opened and shut slightly by itself. That’s
because of the condensed air in the fresh food compartment runs to the
freezer compartment by closing the door.
• When it is hot and humid, if you open and shut the doors frequently
such happens. When you store watery food unwrapped, such frostwork
may form too. It’s all because of the moisture the air clinging to the
inside.
• When Air-Curtain is on to block the warm air or Quick-Pocket is
working to make concentrated cooling to the pockets, electric motor is
working and makes such noise. It’s not out of order.

HOW TO USE ICEMAKER
(Using for the first time)
Clean enough each part of icemaker set.
• Water Supply Tank ; pull the tank out, wipe out the
inside with some water.
• Water Supply Box ; after cleaning, push it through
the guide groove until it clicks.
• Ice Case, Absorber, Ice Scoop ; after cleaning, dry
them up enough and
use.

Green and red light one by one showing that
cubic cooling is now running-cold air is
coming out from 3 sides. When the cold air is
sent to the fresh food compartment, its
flickering gets faster.
SURROUND MULTI-SCREEN/

“FUZZY” display lights on when “FUZZY”
button is pressed.
Quick freezing and quick refrigeration can be
available in the middle of fuzzy control time.
After quick freezing or quick refrigeration, it
returns to fuzzy control state.
* If TEMP (temperature regulation) button is
pressed during fuzzy control time, fuzzy
control is canceled and returns to previous
state.

6. TEMPERATURE SETTING & REGULATION
Press “FRZ.SET” button.
• “2” lights up when the refrigerator is first plugged
in.
• By pressing this button, middle left indicators
change from “ECONO” to “Q.F”.
• Once you choose a temperature, temperature
regulation ends.

When you want to run Quick Freeze, press
this regulation button to choose the indicator
of Quick Freeze.
• Q.F. indicator lights up and middle-left indicators
flicker 3 times.
• It goes back to former state after 150 minutes.
• When you want to stop it, press “FRZ.SET” button.
(Quick freezing stops and it goes back to former
state.)

• The temperature inside is higher than normal one

1) Unplug the refrigerator.
2) Unscrew the cover below back of refrigerator and
clean the dish.
3) After cleaning the dish, screw the cover and check if
anything wrong.
* While cleaning, be careful not to be hurt by hot pipes,
compressor etc. and not to break system parts.
EVAPORATION DISH
• Don’t pour water to the refrigerator directly.
• When cleaning the inside, don’t use chemical(alkaline) detergent, wax,
gasoline, alcohol, benzen, thinner, hot(boiling) water, scrubber etc., when
cleaning the doors and cabinet, avoid solvent, abrasives, spray-on cleaners etc.
• Instead, use soft cloth with washing up liquid and clean
with a soft cloth.
Before Cleaning
• See to the followings after cleaning. If something’s
wrong, call for service.
• Is the power cord peeled?
• Is the plug unusually hot?
• Did you plug in the outlet firmly?
After Cleaning

Pull out water tank and throw water away.
* Pulling out ; open the cover and pull up the tank
outward.
* Replacement ; push the tank inward enough.

RIGHT USE OF ICEMAKER
When it stops working for a
moment;
It can take long time to
make ice-cubes in the
following cases;
Water Filter
• pull out water tank and water supply box, throw water
away, and reassemble.
• Pour water in the water tank.
• Throw away the first few batches of cubes
(about 32 cubes or 4 cycles), for they can be
contaminated by impurities or dirt.
• In using for the first time, it takes about
5~6 hours to make cubes, for the
freezer compartment is not cold enough.
(In summer time it can take 14~15 hours.)
• In case of frequent opening and closing
of doors.
• If the inside is filled with too much food.
• If the surround temperature is low cold
weather.
• Do not remove filter from filter case, for it can be damaged easily.
• Impurities or dirt on the filter should be washed with flowing water.
(Do not use detergent or alcohol to clean it.)
• Do not place any damaged filter on the filter case.
• Filter can be easily damaged if other liquid, not pure water, is used to
make ice-cubes.
• Replace the filter if damaged. In case you need new filter, call for
service.
• If icemaking without filter, the cubes become too big to drop.

1. Unplug the refrigerator.
2. Pull the light shield down forward, turn to take the bulb out.
3. Replace it with the same size and type of bulb.

3. Insert your finger into the groove under the light bulb and
turn to take it out.
4. Replace it with the same size and type of bulb.

■ Do not open and shut the doors, if possible, then no problem storing the
food 2~3 hours long even in the midsummer.
■ In case of predicted power failure, do not store any more food and make as much ice as you
can to put it on the upper shelf of fresh food compartment. The inside would be kept cold.
■ Clean the inside and leave the doors open for 2~3 days in order
to prevent mold development or odor saturation.
* Call the service centre to get the bulbs or if they are too hard for you to replace.

■Be sure to wrap foods - fish, meat, etc. - to be stored in the freezer compartment to avoid odor.
■Be sure to Wipe the packed foods,

making it impossible to keep
foods fresh, resulting in waste of
electricity.
■Dividing food into one-time
serving and storage makes it easy
to take out, enhancing
refrigerating power. Frozed food
can be thawed easily.
■Make sure to wrap foods such as
cheese and fish in order to prevent
drying and odor.
■Too much food will interfere with
cold air circulation. Do not place
moist food close
to the cold air
