thecarrierwithin48hourstoestablishyourclaimand
requesttheirinspectionandareport.TheWarranty
ClaimsDepartmentshouldthenbecontacted.
Donotstandortransportthemachinesonend.For
storing,eachcartonismarkedwith“up”arrows.
Intheeventthatelevatortransfermakesup-ended
positioningunavoidable,donotoperatethemachine
untilithasbeeninthenormaluprightpositionforatleast
24hours.
Temporarystorageatthejobsitemustbeindoor,
completelyshelteredfromrain,snow,etc.Highorlow
temperaturesnaturallyassociatedwithweatherpatterns
willnotharmtheunits.Excessivelyhightemperatures,
140°F(60°C)andhigher,maydeterioratecertainplastic
materialsandcausepermanentdamage.
IMPORTANT
Thisproductwascarefullypackedandthoroughlyinspected
beforeleavingthefactory.Responsibilityforitssafedelivery
wasassumedbythecarrieruponacceptanceofthe
shipment.Claimsforlossordamagesustainedintransit
mustthereforebemadeuponthecarrierasfollows:
VISIBLE LOSS OR DAMAGE
Anyexternalevidenceoflossordamagemustbenoted
onthefreightbillorcarrier’sreceipt,andsignedbythe
carrier’sagent.Failuretoadequatelydescribesuchexternal
evidenceoflossordamagemayresultinthecarrier’s
refusaltohonoradamageclaim.Theformrequiredtole
suchaclaimwillbesuppliedbythecarrier.
CONCEALED LOSS OR DAMAGE
Concealedlossordamagemeanslossordamagewhich
doesnotbecomeapparentuntiltheproducthasbeen
unpacked.Thecontentsmaybedamagedintransitdue
toroughhandlingeventhoughthecartonmaynotshow
externaldamages.Whenthedamageisdiscoveredupon
unpacking,makeawrittenrequestforinspectionbythe
carrier’sagentwithinfteen(15)daysofthedeliverydate
andleaclaimwiththecarrier.
Pre-Installation
WARNING
The installer must determine and follow all applicable codes
andregulations.Thisequipmentpresentshazardsofelectricity,
rotatingparts,sharpedges,heatandweight.Failuretoreadand
followtheseinstructionscanresultinpropertydamage,severe
personal injury or death. This equipment must be installed by
experienced,trainedpersonnelonly.
1. Topreventdamage,donotoperatethisequipment
forsupplementaryheatingandcoolingduringthe
constructionperiod.
2. Inspectthecartonforanyspecictaggingnumbers
indicatedbythefactoryperarequestfromthe
installingcontractor.Atthistimethevoltage,phase
andcapacityshouldbecheckedagainsttheplans.
3. Checktheunitsizeagainsttheplanstoverifythat
theunitisbeinginstalledinthecorrectlocation.
4. Beforeinstallation,checktheavailablecloset
dimensionsversusthedimensionsoftheunit.
5. Notethelocationandroutingofwaterpiping,
condensatedrainpiping,andelectricalwiring.The
locationsoftheseitemsareclearlymarkedon
submittaldrawings.
6. Theinstallingcontractorwillnditbenecialto
conferwithpiping,sheetmetal,andelectrical
foremenbeforeinstallinganyunit.
Note: Check the unit data plate for correct voltage with
the plans before installing the equipment. Also,
make sure all electrical ground connections are
made in accordance with local code.
7. Thecontractorshallcovertheunitstoprotectthe
machinesduringnishingofthebuilding.Thisis
criticalwhilesprayingreproongmaterialonbar
joists,sandblasting,spraypaintingandplastering.
8. Theoverallopeningofthedoorwaytomechanical
roommustbe2"widerthantheunitforeasy
installationand/orremoval.
