1 Introduction
1.1 Validity
This document applies to the following outdoor mounting accessories:
• Weather-proof housing
• Junction box DJB-115W
• Wall mount bracket outdoor

• Mounting plate
Pictures in this document may differ from the actual products.
1.2 About this Document
This document contains detailed descriptions of the installation, connection and commis-
sioning of the above-mentioned mounting accessories.
In addition, safety instructions, general notes and technical data/drawings are provided.
The target audience is trained and authorized professionals (installers).
For detailed descriptions of the installation, connection, commissioning and conguration
of the corresponding cameras, read the separate documentations referring to the prod-
ucts.

1.3 Typographical Conventions
This document may contain various warning words and symbols that indicate potential
sources of danger:
DANGER
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result

2 Safety Instructions
Only use the unit if it is technically in proper working condition and for the intended pur-
pose while keeping safety and potential dangers in mind.
Qualied Personnel
The installation, mounting, connection, commissioning and conguration of the unit may
only be carried out by qualied personnel.
This also applies to the maintenance, testing and repair, whereat the regulations of the
DIN VDE 0701 series of standards (repair, modication and inspection of electrical appli-
ances) must be followed.
Regulations
The use of video and audio surveillance systems is, in general, strictly regulated.
Inform yourself about the currently valid laws and regulations regarding data, worker and
environmental protection before using the unit and ensure compliance with them.
System Components
Only use internal components that have been tested and approved by Dallmeier.
Inappropriate internal components can cause malfunctions, damages and data loss and
can result in the loss of warranty.
Modications
Do not make any modications to the hardware or software that has not been tested and
approved by Dallmeier.
Inappropriate modications can cause malfunctions, damages and data loss and can
result in the loss of warranty.
Documentation
Read the documents included in delivery carefully and thoroughly.
Always observe the contained instructions, notes and warnings.
Condensation Water
If the unit is brought from a cold to a warm environment, resulting condensation water can
cause malfunctions and damages.
In this case, wait (up to 8 hours) until the unit has reached room temperature before com-
missioning.
Earthing & Equipotential Bonding
For the safety of persons (protection against dangerous contact voltages) and devices
(protection against overvoltages) and the immunity of information and communication
technology equipment to electromagnetic interferences (EMI), all protective measures,
which are specied by the currently valid DIN, VDE and ISO standards and which provide
for a standard-compliant earthing and a correct equipotential bonding of electrical and
electronic devices, are mandatory and must be fullled by all means.

Lightning Storms
To avoid damage to the unit by electrical surge during lightning storms, unplug the unit
from the mains power supply (pull out the power plug).
This is also recommended, when the unit has been unused for a long period of time.
Operating Conditions
Unfavourable operating conditions can shorten the life of the unit and can cause malfunc-
tions, damages and data loss and can result in the loss of warranty.
Observe the specications given in the technical data, the operating condition require-
ments and the maintenance instructions.
Shocks
Shocks can cause malfunctions and damages.
The unit may not be moved while in operation.
Foreign Bodies
If objects or liquids get into the unit, immediately disconnect it from the power supply (pull
out the power plug).
Contact the sales partner responsible for your area.
Burnt Smell
If you notice burnt smell or a formation of smoke coming from the unit, immediately dis-
connect it from the power supply (pull out the power plug).
Contact the sales partner responsible for your area.
Opening
The housing of the unit may only be opened by qualied personnel for commissioning,
inspection, maintenance and repair.
Disposal
Do not dispose waste electrical and electronic equipment into the household trash.
Disconnect the unit from the power supply.
Remove all connected devices.
Return the unit to your respective sales partner.

3 General Notes
3.1 Scope of Delivery
The standard scope of delivery includes all screws, nuts, washers, dowels and brackets
which are necessary for a proper installation of the ordered outdoor mounting
accessories.
However, it has to be considered that the scope of delivery may differ depending on the
ordered equipment or the country of destination.
3.2 Transportation and Packaging
Store the original packaging for transportation at a later date.
Dallmeier is not responsible for any damage resulting from unprofessional/improper trans-
portation.
The goods should only be shipped in their original packaging.
If the original packaging is no longer available, ensure that the packaging used sufciently
protects the units against damage, moisture, heat and cold.
3.3 Warranty
The terms and conditions valid at the signing of the contract shall apply.
3.4 Appropriate Use DJB-115W
The junction box DJB-115W provides easy, safe and reliable connection facilities for both
the power supply of up to three consumer devices (e.g. PTZ dome cameras or the heater/
fan of a weather-proof housing) and the video, audio, alarm and communication cabling
of the PTZ dome camera series .
Constructed as an IP66 mounting unit, the junction box DJB-115W is designed for the
indoor as well as for the outdoor application.
Depending on the requirements, the junction box DJB-115W can be operated at a supply
voltage of 115V AC or 230 V AC (50/60Hz).

• 100 W total output power for the sufcient power supply of multiple consumers, includ-
ing the high-performance heater of a weather-proof housing
• Easy mechanical installation:
The junction box cover can be removed for the installation of the bracket and housing
and easily hung back into the hinge
• Fast and efcient electrical installation:
Cables can be taken directly from the cable reel and connected within only a few
minutes using the original ADC KRONE LSA punch-down (insertion) tool or something
similar
• Compatible with all analogue and all IP (SD/HD) network PTZ dome cameras of the
series
• Housing with IP66 ingress protection
• Specially designed cable feed-throughs for IP68 cable glands

4 Requirements
4.1 General
Unfavourable local conditions may shorten the life of the product and can cause malfunc-
tions or damages.
Do not install/operate the device in places
• with a large amount of dust and dirt,
• with steam or oil vapours (e.g. kitchen),
• with direct sunlight,
• with strong heat emissions (e.g. radiator),
• with improper ambient temperatures,
• near sources with strong radiation (e.g. radio transmitters, magnetic elds),
• with corrosive surroundings (e.g. gases, salt water),
• with insufcient air ventilation (e.g. closed cabinet).
4.2 Voltage Supply Junction Box DJB-115W
The junction box DJB-115W can be operated at 115V AC or at 230 V AC (50/60 Hz).
However, ensure that the correct AC mains power voltage suitable for your country has
been set before connecting the AC mains power to the AC input terminal.
4.3 Earthing & Equipotential Bonding
For the safety of persons (protection against dangerous contact voltages) and devices
(protection against overvoltages) and the immunity of information and communication
technology equipment to electromagnetic interferences (EMI), all protective measures,
which are specied by the currently valid DIN, VDE and ISO standards and which provide
for a standard-compliant earthing and a correct equipotential bonding of electrical and
electronic devices, are mandatory and must be fullled by all means.
4.4 Outdoor Use
For the outdoor installation of PTZ dome cameras, always use the corre-
sponding weather-proof housing.
However, note that direct insolation can cause very high temperatures inside the housing.
In this case use the corresponding sunshield.

4.5 Maintenance
The housing of the units may only be opened by qualied personnel for commissioning,
inspection, maintenance and repair.
Cleaning
If it is necessary to clean the devices, unplug the units and observe the following notes:
NOTICE
Damage to the surface of the devices
Clean the housings (outside) with a soft, dry and antistatic cloth.
Do not use detergents.
Clean the acrylic bubble of the weather-proof housing with water and
some dishwashing agent using a soft, non-linting cloth or sponge.
Do not rub acrylic glass with a dry cloth.
Do not use common glass cleaners.
Avoid excessive rubbing.
Dry gently with a clean dry cloth to avoid scratching the surface.

5 Installation
Installation of the units may only be carried out by qualied personnel.
WARNING
Falling objects
Danger of death or serious injury
Observe the manufacturer’s instructions about the maximum adequate
carrying capacity of the supporting structure.
Use screws suitable for the ceiling/wall material.
Use the correct type of anchor for your ceiling/wall type:
• Plastic screw anchors for solid wall material (concrete/brick)
• Toggle bolt style anchors for drywall/hollow wall type (plaster)
