Dear customer
We congratulate you on the purchase of this Votani electric cycle.
This manual will explain how to use your Votani electric cycle. We strongly advise you to
read this manual carefully, so you can enjoy your Votani as long as possible. In this manual
you will nd the most important tips for your Votani with pedal support, its control and its
use. In the back of the manual you can nd an explana on on what to do in case you need
a guarantee and service. If you have any quesions or remarks after reading this manual,
feel free to contact your dealer. We wish you a lot of cycling enjoyment and many safe
kilometres on your new Votani.
We advise you to nd enough space and time before you use an electric cycle for the rst
time. Please be careful, read all instructions and check the condition of all parts. An electric
cycle reacts more quickly when it is active than a cycle without support. Please do not pedal
fast while starting. Your cycle will accelerate when the support is switched on. At rst you
will need to get used to this. When you brake, use the rear brake rst. This will immediately
interrupt the engine support. The front brake is more powerful. The support will stop when
speed of 25 km/h is reached. The support will stop when you stop pedaling; there will be a
slight delay.
Moderate your speed on slippery roads, with snow and in rainy circumstances. Riding your
e-bike is just like any other cycle. With the Shimano gear handle
you can decide in which gear you prefer to ride. You can continue pedaling when
you change gears. You are advised to start in low gear. This will improve the range. Starting
in a high gear will be like starting a car in a high gear. In that case the engine will need more
power to get moving. Your e-bike is just like that. If you start in a higher gear, the battery will
be drained to get you moving.

We advise you to read the instruction booklet carefully, quietly and completely
before you begin cycling. Furthermore we advise you to check all parts before
you start using the cycle. Do not remove any parts. For maintenance please contact your
dealer. The dealer has all the information and skill to keep your bike on the road.
To adjust the handlebar, the handlebar stem adjuster must be lifted. This is done
by pushing the small slide up. Make sure that the handlebar is straight.
In order to adjust the tension of the quick release, turn the adjusting screw, as shown above.
Make sure that the safety mark is not exposed,
To adjust the handlebar height, use a hex key. The recommended torque is 22-25 Nm)
Riding your e-bike:
Adjusting the handlebar
It is best to shift back to gear 1 or 2 in
the low support mode (Eco). Once
you reach the desired speed, select
the support which ts your speed.
The design of the cycle is a combination of ergonomics, technology and aestheics, which
results in a unique cycling experience. The smart design, together with the chosen parts,
gives a safe cycling experience. The frame is made of aluminum (6061), it is light, but stiff
and sturdy for pleasant cycling. The top speed conforms to national legislation. The support
works up to a maximum of 25 km/h. (under normal circumstances, for a rider weighing 80
kg)

A. Put the battery into cradle and push until button steady.
Tips for good care of your e-bike battery:
The battery is preferably stored in a dry place (15 C - 20 C)
Use only the charger supplied with your e-bike.
Store the charger out of reach of children.
Do not cover the charger and out charger and battery on a hard bottom (Not on
a carpet).
Make sure that no dirt or moisture contaminates the charger's plug and
connector.
Battery Operation
Make sure that both wheels turn freely when you do not brake. Check the condition of the
brakes frequently. You e-bike has been designed for cycling on a normal road. Extreme
maneuvering might damage your cycle and cause injury.
Use a damp cloth and a neutral detergent to cleanse your cycle. The e-bike parts are water-
resistant. Make sure that the cycle is not cleaned using a high pressure spray. A violent rain
shower may have the same result. Avoid lubricating too much, oil on wheels and brakes
may reduce the braking power.

We advise you to exhaust the battery charge completely in the rst three times, and to charge
completely a terwards.
If you do not use the cycle often:
