The following manual provides descriptions relating to the assembly, operation
and care of the B(: and B(: bath seats.
Photographs of the B(: bath seat with backrest are used to demonstrate the
assembly.
You will find written notices regarding differences in operation and assembly for
the B(: bath seat. Please consult your doctor prior to using the product if
thisrepresents the appropriate aid for you.

1.2 Use in accordance with the requirements
The Days Healthcare bath seats offer individuals with restricted
mobility but still sufficient sitting capacity the option to carry out
daily personal hygiene in the bath tub.
The bath seats make it possible to use the bath tub without having
to lower yourself completely to the tub bottom.
Possible conditions or results of injury are e.g.:
•Bath seat without backrest:
Considerably reduced function / lacking function of the lower
extremities (e.g. amputation, paralysis, joint disease) while upper
body control and capacity of the upper extremities is still
sufficient.
•Bath seat with backrest:
Considerably reduced function / lacking function of the lower
extremities (e.g. amputation, paralysis, joint disease) while upper
body control and capacity of the upper extremities is still
sufficient.
The B(: and B(: bath seats are only intended for use in
connection with standard bath tubs.
The secure fastening of the bath tub, for which the use of the bath
seats is intended, is required.
The B(: and B(: bath seats must only be used in bath tubs in
which a secure position of the seat is guaranteed.The B(: and
B(: bath seats must only be used when fully assembled.

Accident risk!
•Only use the bath seats for their intend use. They are no
replacements for ladders and are not exercise equipment or
toys.
•The bath seats are not intended for use during examinations or
treatments.
•Use the bath seats only in technically perfect condition.
•Use only spare parts and accessories released by Days
Healthcare.
•Do not carry out structural changes which are not approved by
the manufacturer.
•The bath seats must not be used in environments in which
flammable gases or vapours (e.g. from anaesthetics) can be
expected.
•Make sure before use that the bath seat rests securely on the
rim of the bath tub.
Safety information

Please read the assembly instructions for the bath seats
carefully before starting the assembly!
Do not continue to use the bath seat if defects are detected during
use.
Restrictions of use!
• Patients weighing more than kg must not use the bath
seats.
Please take care that:
• the instructions are read by all individuals who will use the bath
seat.
• all individuals using the bath seat have access to the instructions
at any time.
Damages resulting from a failure of observing the instructions are
excluded from any warranty.

Risk of injury!
•Use only tools appropriate for the work.
• Carry out the work only if you are familiar with using the tools
employed.
Risk of injury due to wrong assembly!
• Check the perfect position and firm support of all parts after
the assembly.

The BE05W and BE06W bath seats are packed in cartons.
Use the following list to check the contents of the package
before starting the assembly.
Please contact Days Healthcare or your medical supply
shop if defects are apparent or if parts are missing.

Insert the prepared fastening screws into
the holes of a bracket (1) and secure by
pushing on the rubber - sealing washer
(2).

Fastening screws must be inserted
on the side facing away from the
rubber caps.

3.1 Preparations
Prepare all fastening screws as follows:

NOTE
Take care that the moulded edge (a)
of the plastic disk (7) points to the
screw head (see detail photo).

Screw seat to the side panel.
The continuous side (a) must face the
backrest for bath seat with backrest.

NOTE
Fastening screws must be inserted
on the side facing away from the
rubber caps.
Only for bath seat with backrest:
Push washer with deep turned groove
(3) onto the upper fastening screw and
screw down backrest (4).

Push washer with deep turned groove
(5) onto the upper fastening screws.

NOTE
For easier assembly, first screw
in all fastening screws loosely
up to the stop and do not tighten.
Insert the prepared fastening screws into
the holes of the second side panel (6) and
secure by pushing the rubber-sealing
washers on (7).

Push washer with deep turned groove
onto the tubes of the already screwed
down seat frame (8).

Screw the side panel to the seat frame
and the backrest.

NOTE
Tightening too much results in the
destruction of the threaded inserts.
Tighten all six fastening screws.➨
Press all masking caps onto the plastic
disks (9).

4.0 Attaching the bath seat to the tub
Accident risk!
• Make sure before use that the
bath seat rests securely on the
bath tub rim.
Only use the bath seat in bath tubs for
which the secure
support of the rubber caps (1) is guaranteed.
At least 2/3 of the width (B) of all four rubber
caps (1) has to be supported by the bath
tub rim (2).

5.0 Cleaning and disinfection
Cleaning

NOTES
• Do not use tools with sharp edges (knives, metal scrapers) or
aggressive solvents for cleaning.
• Observe the instructions on the cleaning agents or disinfectants
at all times to avoid damage to health and to the parts surfaces.
In particular when using flammable or igniting cleaners or
disinfectants (e.g. cleaning agents containing alcohol).
5.1 Cleaning
Small stains and dust is best removed with moist wipes.
Larger stains can be removed by non-scouring, mild cleaning agents.

5.2 Disinfection
If disinfection is required during use, only agents according to the Days
Healthcare skin protection and hygiene plan must be used.
Carry out the following tests:
The stool must not be used further if defaults are detected during use.
The shower chair is maintenance-free, however, should be checked on a
monthly basis.
Visual check of all parts for deformation, damage, wear and tear and
corrosion.
Check all connections (nuts, screws etc.) for completeness, function
and perfect fit.

Spare parts can be obtained from your Days Healthcare specialist
dealer. Only original Days Healthcare spare parts may be used
(See dealer stamp on reverse of the envelope).

9.0 Name plate
The name plate is located on the rear cross brace of the shower chair.
7.0 Reuse
The Days Healthcare shower chair is designed for reuse.
Clean and disinfect prior to reuse. Please observe the Days
Healthcare skin protection and hygiene plan (order no. E1-05-001-000).
8.0 Disposal
The shower chair consists of metal and plastic parts.
Disposal of the individual materials must be carried out according to the
regional environmental and disposal provisions.
10.0 Specifications
Days Healthcare offers a 24 months warranty on perfect quality within
the framework of its general terms and conditions.
