DESCRIPTION
FA-RS16 is an active omnidirectional antenna. It is equipped with a BNC connector, a gain selector and a pole-
mount adapter. The status LEDs provide immediate information about the gain selection, and the PEAK LED
reveals a potential issue due to a saturation of the signal reception.
A pair of FA-RS16 should be used with RS16000TR or a single AS6W module. In the second case please check
that the phantom power is enabled.

GAIN SELECTOR
Depending on the type and length of the used coaxial cable, the gain selector must be regulated following the
table below, to compensate the losses due to the signal path:
USAGE RECOMMENDATION
Place the antennas in line-of-sight to the transmitters. Maximize the distance between the two antennas as
much as possible. For an optimized reception, please consider a minimum height of 1.8 m. The “true diversity”
concept requires the use of two antennas, so always use one or more pairs of FA-RS16.
