Slide the battery coverin
the direction of thearrow.
Insert two AAbatteries
according to the marking
inside the
compartment.
Slide back the battery
cover, make surethat it
is snapped into place.
When the batteriesbecome weak, the sound becomes weak
and distorted. Please reducethe volume or replace the
batteries with new ones.
BATTERY OPERATION
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
Turn off theunit and then replacethe batteries with freshones as
soon as possible.
Do not mix different types together (Alkaline, Carbon-
Zinc, Nickel Cadmium etc.),or old batteries withnew ones.
When the unit isnot being used fora long period oftime,
remove the batteriesto avoid damage frombattery
leakage and corrosion.
If battery leakage occurs,wipe the battery compartment
with a soft clothbefore inserting the newones.
AC ADAPTOR OPERATION
Plug the adaptor intoan AC poweroutlet.
Insert the adaptor's smallconnector plug into theDC JACK
marked on the unit(on the left sideof the unit).
Turn on theunit.
If the AC adaptoris connected whenregular batteries are
installed, the unitautomatically switches to the AC
adaptor power and thebatteries are notused.
Make sure thepolarity of the ACadaptor suits yourunit
before plugging itinto the AC poweroutlet, the correct
mark is as follows:
External power supply canbe chosen from 3Vto 4.5V.

USING FOLDING STAND
When folding standis used,
extending the telescopic antenna
straight upward.

Press POWER to turnon the unit manually,
meanwhile turn to FMautomatically, FM
IINDICATOR is lighten, if FMstereo signal
is strong, STEREO INDICATOR andAM
INDICATOR will be lighten also.
After listening, press POWER to turn off the unit.

AM is divided intoMW and several
SW meter bands,slide MW /SW
METER BAND SELECTOR to
select MW /SW1/SW2/SW3/SW4/
SW5/SW6/SW7.

select AM/FM, thecorresponding

In general, set theswitch in DX positionunless
there is strong interferenceor when you are
listening to local stations.
TUNING IN TO A STATION
Adjust the TUNINGKNOB according
to the frequency indicatesin the
frequency dial.
When the receivingsignal is strong enough,
TUNING INDICATOR and STEREO
INDICATOR willbe lighten.
LISTENING WITH HEADPHONES
Insert the headphone's small
connector into the EARPHONE
JACK and enjoy listening
with headphones.
LOCAL / DX
Set appropriate LOCAL/ DX in SWand FM according todifferent
listening environment couldeffectively improves the reception
result.

VOL
VOLUME CONTROL
Adjust volume using VOL ,
keep the volume ata moderate level, this
will allow you tohear outside sounds and
to be considerate topeople around you.
Avoid usingheadphones at high volume,if you experience a
ringing in your ears,reduce volume or discontinueuse.
Shut down the radiobefore sleeping.
Do not use headphoneswhile driving or cycling,it can also be
potentially dangerous to playyour headphones at highvolume
while walking, especially atpedestrian crossing.

On Handling
Avoid exposureto temperature extremes, directsunlight, moisture,
sand, dust or mechanicalshock.
Should anything wrong withthe radio, please removethe battery
and have the unitchecked by qualified personnelbefore operating
it any further.
When the set isnot being used fora long period oftime, remove
the batteries to avoiddamage form battery leakageand corrosion.
Magnetic antenna inside theunit functions as MWantenna, it is
strongly effected bythe reception direction.
When listening to MWbroadcast, reorient the unitto find the
position which gives thebest reception.

Set LOCAL /DX to LOCALif FM receptionis too noisy.
