1.3 Safety
WARNING!
ØAlmost all accidents are a result of:
-lack of concentration;
-inattention;
-negligence;
-incorrect assumptions.
ØWork carefully and with focus.
NOTE!
ØYou must also follow the local safety
regulations under all circumstances.
WARNING!
ØThe instructions as they are described in

1.4 Legionella prevention
The water management system is cleaned and
disinfected by the addition of a chlorine tablet.
Dehaco recommends using the mini chlorine tablets
of 2.7 grams for pool and spa. The frequency of
cleaning and disinfection depends on various
factors, such as the ambient temperature, whether
or not the water system runs empty, and the source
of the water supply.
You can take your own measures to reduce the
growth of bacteria:
◊ Use tap or mains water.
◊ Leave the tapping point (water tap) running for a
period of time before lling the tank or making a
connection.
◊ Prevent water standing still in the system. For
example, always empty the complete system at
the end of work.
◊ Clean and disinfect the system once per quarter.
-Increase the frequency, up to a daily basis, if
the ambient temperature is higher than 24
°C.
As an option, Dehaco can supply a legionella
management system that uses UV light to kill any
bacteria present.
For more information regarding legionella
management, please refer to the "Legionella
Management Plan" enclosed in Appendix I.
WARNING!
Dehaco is delivering a water management system
to you that is free of legionella bacteria. Prevention
during use, however, is your responsibility!

4.2. Use
◊ Squeeze the handle of the shower head to rinse
o.
◊ The drainage pump comes on automatically during
showering.
◊ When the water tank contains approximately one
minute of shower water, the water pump rapidly
switches on and o a number of times to cause the
hose and shower head to vibrate. This is the sign
that the water tank is almost empty.
◊ The drain pump continues to pump as long as
it is supplied with water; it will then shut o
automatically. This means all the shower water will
be discharged.
◊ Press the green circular button (to the right of the
on/o switch) to manually switch the drainage
pump back on.
◊ Rell the water tank after every use.
4.3 After showering/end of the working
day
After showering or at the end of the working day:
◊ Rinse the shower area and allow the water to drain
through the YO28.
◊ Suck a few litres of clean water through the YO28
to clean the red hose.
◊ Pull the plug from the wall socket.
◊ Open the drainage tap on the left side so the
remaining water can drain out of the machine.
◊ Disconnect all three hoses and roll them up.
◊ Remove the water lter. Pack and dispose of in
accordance with asbestos legislation.
◊ The YO28 is now clean and empty and can be
transported to the next location.

5. Maintenance
5.4 Legionella prevention
Legionella prevention is designed to ensure good
quality drinking water and hot water.
WARNING!
ØDehaco took legionella prevention into account
when designing the YO28 water management
system.
ØYou are responsible for the actual
implementation of legionella prevention while
working with the machine.
What is legionella?
Legionella is a bacteria that can cause an acute
infection of the respiratory tract (Legionnaires'
disease). This illness has two major syndromes:
Legionella pneumonia (Legionnaires' disease), a severe
form of pneumonia, and Pontiac fever, a u-like illness.
You can get sick by inhaling the bacteria. You do not
get sick from drinking water containing Legionella.
Legionella bacteria occurs naturally in soil and
water. There is rarely legionella bacteria in water.
But sometimes legionella can grow very rapidly in
water, especially when the water is stationary and at a
temperature of between 25 and 45 degrees.
The YO28 water tank is a perfect breeding ground
for the bacteria, and we have therefore written a few
simple preventive measures:
1) Never work with 'old' water in the tank, always
start with a clean, empty tank.
2) Always use clean mains water.
3) Flush the water hose before connecting it.
4) Always carefully empty the YO28 water
management system after use.
The "Legionella Management + logbook" is available as
tool to support the responsible prevention of this bacteria.

6. Faults
6. FAULTS
THERE IS NO VOLTAGE SUPPLY
Check the power cable is connected and undamaged.
Contact your dealer or Dehaco.
THE SHOWER WATER IS NOT BEING PUMPED AWAY AND THE
DRAIN PUMP IS NOT running
Ø Cause: The pump has probably not been cleaned
fully before being placed in storage and has not been
used for some time. The impeller of the pump may be
xed to the housing.
Remove the power supply from the YO28 water
management system and take the power plug from the
socket.
The impeller of the motor is accessible from the rear
side of the machine: insert a small screwdriver or blade
through the cover of the left motor and rotate the impeller
somewhat, the pump is then "loose" again.
THE SHOWER WATER IS NOT PUMPED AWAY; THE DRAIN
PUMP IS RUNNING, BUT IS NOT SUCKING
Check the hoses for kinks.
The pump is dry and needs a minimum amount of water
before suction can be applied:
ØTurn o the YO28.
ØClose the red hose tap (4).
ØDisconnect the yellow hose from the outlet.
ØConnect the drainage tap to the drain using the short
hose provided (1 + 3).
ØOpen both taps (1 + 3) so that water can ow into the
pump. The pump does not need to be switched on.
ØWait a few minutes.
ØConnect everything back for normal use.
Contact your dealer or Dehaco.
SHOWER DOES NOT WORK, THE LED INDICATOR IS
YELLOW,BUT THE TANK IS NOT EMPTY
Check the water temperature: the heating element is not
disconnected if the water is > 38 ºC, this means the water is
TOO HOT! This additional protection comes into operation
when the water temperature is 50 °C. When the water falls
below the 20 °C, the heating element is switched on again.
Solution:
ØPull the plug from the wall socket.
ØAllow the YO28 to cool and/or drain the hot
water.
ØCheck or replace the heating element.
ØRell the tank with cold water.
ØRestart YO28.

7. Disposal
7. DISPOSAL
You must always meet the current and local requirements
and directives for working safely and for responsible
disposal.
If, after a long period of use, the machine has come to
its technical end, proceed as follows for responsible
processing:
◊ Clean the machine.
◊ Disassemble the electrical components. These can
be oered separately.
◊ Remove the plastic parts, these can be handed in
separately.
◊ The remaining portions are made of steel and may
