The DHT-FS5 is a single, compact unit,
but it gives you a hefty dose of dynamic surround sound.
Not just movies but also TV programs, games, sports,
live videos and more are all available for you to enjoy with
the compact, easy-to-use DHT-FS5 home theater system.
The primary feature of the DHT-FS5 is that it lets you enjoy the full ambiance of
5.1-channel surround sound throughout your room from a single unit. It’s compact
enough to t pretty much wherever you’d like to have it, and if you know how to
operate a TV, you’ll nd that operating the DHT-FS5 is a pleasure as well.

The DHT-FS5 also comes with a simple remote controller
that has buttons for the most commonly used functions.
Button labels are also larger and easier to read, making it
easy for all members of the family to use.
• Useful audio modes
The DHT-FS5 comes with 4 handy audio modes (MOVIE / MUSIC / STEREO /
NEWS) to suit the type of audio you are listening to. If you are listening
to a news program or documentary, you might choose NEWS mode to
make the spoken words easier to hear. If you are listening to music, you
might switch to MUSIC mode as it is better suited for music programs.
• For greater clarity in spoken words
Since the sonic waves reach listeners’ ears after being radiated from the
speakers throughout the room, the use of full-range speakers in the
DHT-FS5 makes it much easier to hear scripts, narrations, and other types
of spoken words.
• Night Mode, to enjoy surround sound even at low volume levels
When the audio tracks of movies are recorded on DVD, music and sudden
sound effects are generally recorded at higher volume levels than the
dialogue. If you watch a movie at night and lower the volume of the sound
effects, the dialogue will be harder to hear. Night Mode makes it easier for
you to hear the dialogue after lowering the volume of sound effects.

The DHT-FS5 comes with a digital optical cable and an analog audio cable, as well as an
easy-to-follow connection guide. You can have your home theater ready in minutes!
• Connect up to 4 input devices
The DHT-FS5 has 4 audio inputs that let you connect devices such as a TV, DVD
player, game console, and satellite TV. You can easily switch inputs from
the DHT-FS5’s remote controller.

• X-SPACE SURROUND masterfully reproduces the surround sound and
expands the listening area
The cabinet of the front unit contains 6 full-range
speakers. X-SPACE SURROUND is technology that
uses those speakers to generate surround algorithms.
The sound waves released from the speakers irradiate
throughout the room, so that listeners hear the sound
from the front left and right, the center, and the rear left
and right. Since X-SPACE SURROUND sends the sound
waves out over a wide area, listeners can enjoy surround
sound at any location in the room.
• Bass reex, to produce a deep, robust bass sound from a compact unit
A duct inside the DHT-FS5’s body ensures that the phases of sound from both the
rear and front of the speakers are irradiated into the room with perfect alignment.
This is why the bass that comes from the compact DHT-FS5 sounds so clean and deep.
• Supports all audio formats (Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II)
The DHT-FS5 is equipped with Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital, and DTS, decoders
to reproduce not only digital sound from DVD or STB but also analog video sound
with the surround ambiance that you might experience in a real cinema.
