1 INTRODUCTION
The BWS seres of weghng ndcator provdes an accurate, fast and versatle seres

of general purpose weghng scale wth check-weghng functons.
All the dsplays are large easy to read lqud crystal type dsplays (LCD). The LCD’s
are suppled wth a LED backlght.
All unts nclude automatc zero trackng, audble alarm for pre-set weghts, and an
accumulaton faclty that allows the ndvdual weghts to be stored and recalled as
an accumulated total.

3 INSTALLATION
3.1 GENERAL INSTALLATION
The scales should be sted n a locaton that wll not degrade the
accuracy.
Avod extremes of temperature. Do not place n drect sunlght or near ar
condtonng vents.
Avod unsutable tables. The tables or floor must be rgd and not vbrate. Do not
place near vbratng machnery.
Avod unstable power sources. Do not use near large users of electrcty such as
weldng equpment or large motors.
Avod hgh humdty that mght cause condensaton. Avod drect contact wth
water. Do not spray or mmerse the scales n water.
Keep the ndcator clean.

4 KEY DESCRIPTIONS
ON/ OFF or
Turn on or off the power.
Zero
Set the zero pont for all subsequent weghng. The dsplay shows zero.
A secondary functonof "Enter" key when settng parameters or other functons.
Tare
Tares the scale. Stores the current weght n memory as a tare value, subtracts
the tare value from the weght and shows the results.
A secondary functon ncrementng the actve dgt when settng a value for
parameters or other functons.
Press Zero and Tare key together n normal weghng mode wll turn on/off anmal
scale functon.(when enter/escape anmal scale mode, you wll hear beeper on twce)
MR
Memory recall key, show total accumulate weght n memory.
In settng mode, ths key used to move actve dgts rght.
M+
Accumulate key, store current weght n memory.
In settng mode, ths key used to move actve dgts left.
Press M+ and MR key for MC (memory clear)
Prnt
To prnt the results to a PC or prnter usng the optonal RS-232 nterface.
Press Prnt durng selfcheckng wll enter settng mode.
G/N
Gross weght/net weght shft key
Secondary functon (ESC) , s to return to normal operaton when the scale s n a
parameter settng mode.
Press G/N and Prnt key together for settng check Weghng lmt.

The LCD dsplay wll show a value and a unt to the rght of the dgts.
In addton there are labels for TARE, GROSS weght, Zero and for Low battery

6 OPERATION
6.1 Zerong The Dsplay
You can press the ZERO key at any tme to set the zero pont from whch all other
weghng and countng s measured, wthn +/-2% of power up zero. Ths wll usually
only be necessary when the platform s empty. When the zero pont s obtaned the
dsplay wll show the ndcator for zero.
The scale has an automatc rezerong functon to account for mnor drftng or
accumulaton of materal on the platform. However you may need to press the ZERO
key to rezero the scale f small amounts of weght are shown when the platform s
empty.
6.2 Tarng
Zero the scale by pressng the ZERO key f necessary. The zero ndcator wll be on.
Place a contaner on the platform, a value for ts weght wll be dsplayed.
Press the TARE key to tare the scale. The weght that was dsplayed s stored as the
tare value and that value s subtracted from the dsplay, leavng zero on the dsplay.
The "NET" ndcator wll be on. As product s added only the weght of the product wll
be shown. The scale could be tared a second tme f another type of product was to
be added to the frst one. Agan only the weght that s added after tarng wll be
dsplayed.
When the contaner s removed a negatve value wll be shown. If the scale was tared
just before removng the contaner ths value s the gross weght of the contaner plus
all product that was removed. The zero ndcator wll also be on because the platform
s back to the same condton t was when the ZERO key was last pressed.
6.3 Weghng a sample
To determne the weght of a sample frst tare the empty contaner then place the
sample n the contaner. the dsplay wll show the weght and the unts of weght
currently n use.

6.4 Check-Weghng
6.4.1 About check-weghng
Check-weghng s a procedure to cause an alarm to sound when the weght on the
scale meets or exceeds values stored n memory. The memory holds values for a
hgh lmt and a low lmt.
Check mode OK:
When check range, the dsplay wll show OK and the beeper wll sound when the
weght s between the lmts.
Check mode NG:
When check range, the dsplay wll show OK and the beeper wll sound when the
weght s out of the lmts.
6.4.2 Set lmts
Press G/N and PRINT key together, t wll dsplay “
set
h”, use TARE key to select
“SET H” or “SET L”, press ZERO key to enter, use M+ and MR key to move
actve dgt, use TARE key to change value, use Prnt key to clear value. After
you enter the value, press ZERO key to sure, press G/N key to escape.
6.4.3 Set check weghng mode
Press G/N and prnt key together, t wll dsplay “

h”, use TARE key to select
beep, press ZERO key to enter, press TARE key to select ok(check mode OK),
ng
(check mode NG), no(no beep), press ZERO key to sure, press G/N key to escape.
NOTE
Checkweghng functon only avalable when weght more than 20d (mn).
To dsable the Check-Weghng functon enter zero nto both lmts by pressng the
PRINT key when the current lmts are shown then pressng ZERO to store the zero
values.
6.5 Accumulated Total
The scale can be set to accumulate manually by pressng the M+ key. See the
PARAMETERS Secton for detals of selectng the method usng functon "P2
com
".
Please note before every accumulate operate, scale need return to zero, and only
press M+ key when stable, when weght less than 20d, accumulate operate wll be
nvald.

6.5.1 Accumulate operate
The weght dsplayed wll be stored n memory when the M+ key s pressed and the
weght s stable.
The dsplay wll show "ACC 1" and then the total n memory for 2 seconds before
returnng to normal. (after do accumulate operate, “M+” ndcator wll turn on) If the
optonal RS-232 nterface s nstalled the weght wll be output to a prnter or PC.
Remove the weght, allowng the scale to return to zero and put a second weght on.
Press the M+ key, the dsplay wll show "ACC 2" and then the new total.
Contnue untl all weghts have been added.
6.5.2 Memory recall
To vew the totals n memory press MR key.
6.5.3 Memory clear
To clear the memory, just press M+ and MR together
6.5.4 Automatcally accumulate
Press Prnt key durng selfcheckng, enter settng mode, press Tare key untl dsplay
show “
P2 COM ”,
press ZERO key to enter, press TARE key to select “mode”, press
ZERO key to sure, dsplay wll show current RS-232 mode, press TARE key to select
Auto
. After you set, AUTO ndcator on.
Press weght on platform, after stable, you wll hear beep on twce, you can add or
remote weght now, scale wll beep on agan after stable, at last, remove all weght
on platform, the last weght value wll store n memory
6.6 Anmal Scales
Let the anmal on the platform, after some second, f readng data change not a lot,
you can hear beep sound and readng data wll be locked.
In readng data lock mode, f you add/remove bg weght, dsplay wll stll update and
lock new readng data.
You can press ZERO TARE together to enter/escape anmal weghng mode.

6.7 Keyboard lock
You can use keyboard lock when ths functon enable after keyboard haven’t use for
10 mnutes, keyboard wll be lock, after enter lock status, f you press any key, dsplay
wll show “
K-LCK
”.
If you want to escape lock mode and return work mode, hold PRINT , MR , ZERO
key 2 seconds, dsplay wll show
“ ULCK ”,
return normal mode.
6.8 Set backlght
Hold ZERO key 3 second, display will show ”

backlight setting, press TARE key to change backlight mode (BL
ON:
always on,

AU: auto backlight, backlight will on when press any key or add load on scale,
BLOFF: backlight always off), press ZERO key to sure, press G/N key to escape.
6.9 Set auto power off
Hold ZERO key 3 second, dsplay wll show ”

7 BATTERY OPERATION
The weghng ndcator can be operated from the battery f desred. The battery lfe s
approxmately 70 hours.
When the battery needs chargng a symbol on the weght dsplay wll turn on. The
battery should be charged when the symbol s on. The scale wll stll operate for
about 10 hours after whch t wll automatcally swtch off to protect the battery.
To charge the battery smply plug nto the mans power. The scale does not need to
be turned on.
The battery should be charged for 12 hours for full capacty.
Just under the quantty dsplay s an LED to ndcate the status of battery chargng.
When the scale s plugged nto the mans power the nternal battery wll be charged.
If the LED s green the battery has a full charge. If t s Red the battery s nearly
dscharged and yellow ndcates the battery s beng charged.
As the battery s used t may fal to hold a full charge. If the battery lfe becomes
unacceptable then contact your dstrbutor.

Zero Settng Error The scale was outsde the normal zero settng
range ether when t was turned on or when the
ZERO key was pressed.
Remove weght from the scale and try agan.
Use the TARE key to set the dsplay to zero value.
If the problem persst contact your dealer.

A/D out of range The values from the A/D converter are outsde the
normal range. Remove weght from the scale f
overloaded, make sure the pan s attached.
Indcates the load cell or the electroncs may be
faulty. If the problem persst contact your dealer.
