1. Allgemeines zur Anleitung
Die Anleitung wendet sich an ausgebildetes Fachpersonal.
Grundlegende Arbeitsschritte sind deshalb nicht aufge-
führt.
2. Verpackungsinhalt
Bitte kontrollieren Sie vor Inbetriebnahme des IZAR
RECEIVER BT 868/434 den Verpackungsinhalt:
IZAR RECEIVER BT 868 MHz oder 434 MHz
Direkt montierbare Helix Antenne (ca. 17,5 cm lang)
Netzteil 12 V DC 500 mA
3. Beschreibung (siehe Abb. I)
Der IZAR RECEIVER BT 868/434 ist ein Funkempfänger
für das 868 MHz bzw. 434 MHz ISM Band. Er wird in Ver-
bindung mit einem Computer benutzt um die Daten von
kommunikativen Zählern nach EN13757-4 und OMS aus-
zulesen.
Statt einer Kabelverbindung zwischen dem Computer und
dem IZAR RECEIVER BT wird eine drahtlose Funkverbin-
dung mit dem im 2,4 GHz Band arbeitenden Bluetooth
Standard benutzt.
Die Stromversorgung erfolgt über einen eingebauten
NiMH Akku (Betriebsdauer mit einer Ladung ca. 15 h).

5. Hinweise
Der IZAR RECEIVER BT 868/434 darf nur von
Fachkräften in Betrieb genommen werden.
Zur Inbetriebnahme des IZAR RECEIVER BT ist
ein Computer mit Bluetooth Schnittstelle zwin-
gend notwendig.
Zur Bluetooth Verbindungsaufnahme lesen Sie
bitte das Handbuch zu Ihrem Computer.
6. Inbetriebnahme
Schrauben Sie die mitgelieferte Antenne auf den SMA
Stecker des IZAR RECEIVER BT auf.
Achten Sie darauf, die Antenne leicht handfest
anzuschrauben. Bei größerer Kraftaufwendung
besteht die Gefahr, das Gewinde von der Platine
abzureißen!
Vor der Erstinbetriebnahme laden Sie den inter-
nen NiMH Akku des IZAR RECEIVER BT bitte auf.

Ladevorgang
Zum Auaden des internen NiMH Akku darf nur
das mitgelieferte Netzteil verwendet werden.
Bei Verwendung ungeeigneter Netzteile kann der
interne NiMH Akku irreparabel zerstört werden.
Stecken Sie das mitgelieferte Netzteil in eine Steck-
dose und verbinden Sie den Ladestecker mit der
Ladebuchse des IZAR RECEIVER BTs.
Am IZAR RECEIVER BT leuchtet eine rote LED (PW)
und eine gelbe LED (CH) auf. Lassen Sie den IZAR
RECEIVER BT auf jeden Fall solange mit dem Lade-
netzteil verbunden bis die gelbe LED (CH) erloschen ist.
Der interne NiMH Akku erhält seine maximale Kapazität erst,
wenn er zwei- bis dreimal vollständig aufgeladen und entladen
wurde. Daher sollten Sie bei den ersten zwei bis drei Auade-
vorgängen den IZAR RECEIVER BT nach Vollladung vom Netz-
teil trennen und durch normale Benutzung komplett entladen.
Nach dem Ende des Ladevorgangs (gelbe LED erloschen)
schaltet das Geräte von Schnellladen auf Erhaltungsladung
um.
Es wird empfohlen, das Netzteil spätestens 10 h
nach Ende des Ladevorgangs (gelbe LED erlo-
schen) zu trennen, um eine möglichst lange
Akkulebensdauer zu ermöglichen.

Die Kapazität der eingebauten NiMH Akkus lässt
mit der Zeit nach, was sich durch kürzere
Betriebsdauern bemerkbar macht. Dies ist ein
normaler Alterungsprozess.
Zu vermeiden ist eine längere Lagerung bei hohen Tem-
peraturen (> 30 °C), da sich der Alterungsprozess dann
stark beschleunigt.
Die eingebauten NiMH Akkus können nur im Werk gegen
neue ausgetauscht werden (kostenpichtig).
7. Bedien- und Anzeigeelemente (siehe Abb. II)
Einschaltknopf
Drücken Sie den Einschaltknopf um den IZAR RECEI-
VER BT in Betrieb zu nehmen. Der IZAR RECEIVER
BT schaltet sich etwa 4 Minuten nach Beenden einer
Bluetooth Verbindung mit einem Computer automa-
tisch wieder ab.
PW (rot)
Die rote PW LED zeigt an, ob das Netzteil mit der
Ladebuchse des IZAR RECEIVER BT verbunden ist.
CH (gelb)
Die gelbe CH LED zeigt an, dass der IZAR RECEIVER
BT geladen wird. Wenn der interne NiMH Akku voll-
ständig aufgeladen ist, erlischt die gelbe CH LED und
es wird auf Erhaltungsladung umgeschaltet, so dass
der IZAR RECEIVER BT bei Nichtbenutzung perma-
nent mit dem Netzteil verbunden bleiben kann.

ON (grün)
Die grüne ON LED zeigt an, dass der IZAR RECEIVER
BT eingeschaltet ist. Nach Betätigung des Einschalt-
knopfs muss die ON LED aueuchten. Ist dies nicht der
Fall muss der IZAR RECEIVER BT aufgeladen werden.
OK (grün)
Die grüne OK LED leuchtet auf, wenn ein gültiges
Telegramm empfangen wurde.
ER (rot)
Die rote ER LED leuchtet auf, wenn ein ungültiges
Telegramm empfangen wurde.
Die beiden LED OK und ER leuchten nach dem
Einschalten des IZAR RECEIVER BT und bei
bestandenem Selbsttest einmal für ca. 4 Sekun-
den auf.
Ist dies nicht der Fall oder leuchten die beiden LED OK
und ER permanent, liegt ein Defekt vor und der IZAR
RECEIVER BT muss überprüft werden.
8. Wartung
IZAR RECEIVER BT 868/434 benötigt keine besondere
Wartung.
Nicht mit Lösungsmitteln oder Scheuermittel reinigen, da
diese das Kunststoffgehäuse beschädigen können.
Wenn nötig, Tuch oder feuchten Schwamm zur Reinigung
verwenden.

9. Umwelthinweis
Das Gerät darf nicht mit dem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Senden Sie es zum Recycling an den Hersteller zurück.
10. Zulassung und Konformität

2. Package content
Before using the IZAR RECEIVER BT 868/434, please
check the package content:

3. Description (see g. I)
The IZAR RECEIVER BT 868/434 is a radio receiver for
the 868 MHz or 434 MHz ISM band. It is used together
with a computer for reading data of communicative meter
according to EN13757-4 and OMS.
Instead of a cable connection between the computer and
the IZAR RECEIVER BT, a wireless radio connection with
Bluetooth Standard in the 2.4 GHz band is used.
Power is supplied by a built-in NiMH battery (operating
duration with a charge of approx. 15 h).

5. Instructions
The IZAR RECEIVER BT 868/434 should be put
into operation by qualied experts only.
For the initial operation of the IZAR RECEIVER
BT a computer with a Bluetooth interface is man-
datory.
Please read the manual of your computer when
setting up Bluetooth.

6. Start-Up
Mount the supplied antenna onto the SMA connector
of the IZAR RECEIVER BT.
Make sure to tighten the antenna slightly by
hand. When too much force is applied, the
thread may be ripped off the PCB!
Before the initial operation, please charge the
built-in NiMH battery of the IZAR RECEIVER BT.
Charging
Only the supplied battery charger may be used
for charging the built-in NiMH battery.
When using unsuitable battery charger, the built-
in NiMH battery may be destroyed.
Plug the supplied battery charger in a socket and con-
nect the charging plug to the charging socket of the
IZAR RECEIVER BT.
A red LED (PW) and a yellow LED (CH) light up on the
IZAR RECEIVER BT. The IZAR RECEIVER BT has to
stay connected to the battery charger until the yellow
LED (CH) is off.
The built-in NiMH battery reaches its maximum capacity
only after two or three complete charge and discharge
cycles. For that reason, disconnect the IZAR RECEIVER
BT after the rst two or three full charging cycles from the
battery charger and discharge completely by normal use.

After the end of the charging cycle (yellow LED off), the
device switches from quick charging to maintenance
charging.
It is recommended to disconnect the battery
charger at the latest 10h after the end of charging
(yellow LED off), to ensure a long battery life.
The capacity of the built-in NiMH battery degra-
des over the time, which becomes noticeable by
shorter operation time. This is the result of nor-
mal battery aging.
A longer storage at high temperatures (> 30°C) has to
be avoided, because the aging process accelerates sig-
nicantly.
The built-in NiMH batteries may only be replaced in the
factory (additional costs).
7. Operating and display elements
(see g. II)
ON Button
Press the ON button to start the operation of the IZAR
RECEIVER BT. The IZAR RECEIVER BT automatically
switches off after approx. 4 minutes and after ending
the Bluetooth connection to a computer.
PW (red)
The red PW LED shows if the battery charger is connec-
ted to the charging socket of the IZAR RECEIVER BT.

CH (yellow)
The yellow CH LED indicates that the IZAR RECEIVER
BT is charging. After complete charging of the built-in
NiMH battery, the yellow CH LED turns off and swit-
ches to maintenance charging. The IZAR RECEIVER
BT can therefore stay permanently connected to the
battery charger even when not in use.
ON (green)
The green ON LED indicates that the IZAR RECEIVER
BT is switched on. After pushing the power button,
the ON LED must light up. If this is not the case, the
IZAR RECEIVER BT must be charged.
OK (green)
After receiving a valid telegram, the green OK LED
lights up.
ER (red)
After receiving an invalid telegram, the red ER LED
lights up.
The two LED OK and ER ash once for approx. 4
seconds after switching on the IZAR RECEIVER
BT and the successful self-test.
If this is not the case or the two LED OK and ER
light permanently, there is a fault and the IZAR RECEIVER
BT has to be checked.

8. Maintenance
IZAR RECEIVER BT 868/434 does not require any special
maintenance.
Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents, as these
may damage the plastic housing.
If required, use a cloth or moist sponge for cleaning.
9. Environmental note
The device must not be disposed together with the
domestic waste.
Return it to the manufacturer for recycling.
10. Approval and Conformity
Hereby, Diehl Metering declares that the radio equipment
type IZAR RECEIVER BT 868/434 is in compliance with
Directive 2014/53/EU.
