INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the Riptunes FM/AM 2 band
receiver. Read these instructions before using your receiver to get
the most enjoyment from your new unit.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING AND
RESERVE IT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. IT WILL BE HELPFUL TO YOU
IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY PROBLEMS OPERATING THE DEVICE.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the
unit’s speaker, do not disassemble the unit. There are no user-ser-
viceable parts inside. Contact technical support for further assis-
tance.
1. WARNING: To prevent fire or electric shock hazard, do not
expose the unit to rain or moisture (including drips or splash-
es). Objects filled with liquids, such as vases and water bottles,
should not be placed on or near the unit. To clean the casing
of the receiver, turn the unit o and use a so cloth, dampened
lightly with a mild detergent solution. Do not allow any mois-
ture to reach the inside of the unit.
2. WARNING: Do not expose the receiver or batteries to excessive
heat, such as direct sunlight, fire, or other heat sources.
3. Do not place the system on an unstable table, stand, tripod,
bracket or cart. The unit may fall, resulting in possible damage
or injury.
4. Dispose of this unit properly, respecting your local laws for elec-
tronics and battery disposal.
5. If the unit is placed into storage or not expected to be used for
an extended period, remove the batteries to avoid damage
from battery leakage and corrosion.

the original purchase, Riptunes™ will repair
or replace the product at no charge to you
in the U.S.A. and Canada, After ninety (90)
days it will be the responsibility of the
consumer.
Shippingcosts to and from our warranty service center
isthe sole responsibility of the consumer.
Toobtain warranty service by an authorized Riptunes™
service center, please email us at: support@rip-
tunes.com to obtain a Repair and Maintenance
Authorization (RMA) number and toloc atethe service
center nearest you. Once authorized, you must mail
the product, to the authorized Riptunes™ service
center in its original product packaging materials or
equivalent,to prevent damage while in transit.
Further, should Riptunes™ determine that the product
is outside of the Warrantyterm, Riptunes™ will return
the product to sender at sender’s expense without
being repaired or replaced, unless authorized by the
consumer to service the out of warranty product at
consumer’sexpense. All handling or restocking charges
for returns and/or replacements shall be non-
refundable.
Riptunes™ specifically excludes from this warranty any
non-electric/mechanical attachments, accessories and
disposable parts including but not limited to outside
case, connecting cables, batteries and AC adaptors.
Riptunes™ reserves the right to repair or replace
defectiveproducts with the same, equivalent or newer
models.
We reserve the right to either repair or replace
product at our discretion. Replacement may be either
new or refurbished and while every endeavor will be
madeto ensure it is the same model, if same mo del is
not available itwill replaced with a model of equal or
higherspecification.
Normal“Wear and Tear” is not covered by this
warranty.Further, Riptunes™ hereby reserves the right
todetermine “Wear and Tear” on any and all products.
Tamperingor opening the product casting or shell, will
voidthis warranty in its entirety.
Also this warranty does not apply if the product has
been damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, or
misapplication;has been altered or modified without
the written permission of Riptunes™; has been
serviced by a non-authorized repair center of
Riptunes™; has not been properly maintained or
operated according to the operation manual; has
been used for commercial, non-household purposes;
cosmetically damaged; was not imported by
Riptunes™; was not manufactured according to
specification of the United States market; improper
installation or neglect; damaged due to improper
packaging in shipment; damaged due to natural
disasters; if the serial number for the product has

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
POWER OPERATION
Applying Power
Your FM/AM receiver runs only on AC power, using 2 x AAA bat-
teries.
To run on battery power:
1. Open the battery door on the rear of the unit.
2. Insert 2 x AAA size batteries (not included) into the battery
compartment. Follow the diagram in the battery compart-
ment to ensure that the batteries are facing the correct direc-
tion.
3. Slide the battery door back into place.
LISTENING TO THE RADIO
Tuning to a Station
1. Turn the volume control (6) up to turn on the receiver.
2. Select the desired radio band with the band switch (2).
3. If an FM station is desired, extend the telescopic antenna (3) for
optimal reception.
Note: AM stations are tuned with an internal ferrite antenna and do not
require the telescopic antenna. The AM antenna can be adjusted by
rotating the receiver unit itself.
4. Tune in the desired station by adjusting the tuning control (7)
and looking at the dial scale (5).
5. Adjust the volume again as needed. If desired, connect head-
phones or earbuds to the headphone jack (1).

TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM SOLUTION
Sound is distorted or noisy on AM or
FM broadcasts.
• Retune the AM or FM station.
• Reposition the unit (for AM) or
telescopic antenna (for FM) to
get the best reception.
• Replace the batteries, especially
if they have been in use for an
extended time.
No sound from AM or FM.
• Increase volume.
• Unplug any cables from the
headphone jack.
No sound and the “Power” LED is not
lit.
• Increase volume to turn the unit
on.
• Add or replace batteries.
Sound distorts at a high volume
setting.
• Adjust the volume control to a
lower level.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
FUENTE DE ENERGÍA
Instalando la Fuente de Energía
Su receptor FM/AM funciona únicamente con energía DC, por medio
de 2 baterías AAA.
Para utilizar la energía de las baterías:
1. Abra el compartimento de baterías en la parte posterior de la
unidad.
2. Inserte 2 baterías tamaño “AAA” (no incluidas) en el compar-
timento de baterías. Siga el diagrama del compartimento de
baterías para asegurar que las baterías sean colocadas en la
dirección correcta..
3. Coloque la tapa del compartimento en su lugar.
ESCUCHANDO EL RADIO
1. Encienda el control de volumen (6) para encender el receptor.
2. Seleccione la banda de radio deseada con el interruptor de
banda (2).
3. Si se desea una estación FM, extienda la antena telescópica (3)
para una recepción óptima.
Nota: las estaciones AM se sintonizan con una antena de ferrita
interna y no requieren de la antena telescópica. La antena AM
puede ajustarse reposicionando la unidad.
4. Sintonice la estación deseada al ajustar la perilla de sintonía (7)
mirando la escala de sintonía (5).
5. Ajuste nuevamente el volumen como sea necesario, Si se desea,
conecte los auriculares o intraurales en la conexión para auric-
ulares (1).
