1. Anwendung

Diese Betriebsanle
itung enthält grundlegende und spezielle
Hinweise für den Einsatz, auch in explosionsgefährdeten
Bereichen, die bei der Aufstellung, Betrieb, Überwachung und
Wartung zu beachten sind. Lesen Sie diese Sicherheits-
und
Warnhinweise sorgfältig durch, bevor Si
e mit der Installation bzw.
der Inbetriebnahme der DIETZ-
Drehstrommotoren beginnen.
Diese Anleitung ist greifbar aufzubewahren. Es muss
gewährleistet sein, dass alle Personen, die Tätigkeiten an den
Motoren auszuführen haben, diese Anleitung jederzeit eins
ehen
können. Ergänzend zu dieser Anleitung sind auch
Betriebsanweisungen im Sinne des Arbeitsschutzgesetzes und
der Arbeitsmittel-Benutzungsverordnung bereitzustellen.
Der Drehstrommotor, die Betriebsanleitung selbst und die
Typenschild-Angaben beziehen s
ich auf den durch unsere
Auftragsbestätigung festgelegten Dietz-motoren Lieferumfang.
In den nachfolgenden Texten werden unter anderem die
folgenden Sicherheitssymbole verwendet.
These operating instructions contain basic and special information
for use, including use in areas at risk of explosion, and should be
observed during installation, operation, monitoring and
maintenance. Read these safety notices and warnings carefully
before starting to install and/or start up the DIETZ three-
phase
moto
rs. These instructions should be kept to hand. Everyone
working on the motors must be able to view these instructions at
any time. In addition to these instructions, an instruction manual
should be provided in line with health and safety legislation and
the German ordinance on the use of working equipment.
The three-
phase motor, the operating instructions themselves and
the details on the type plate refer to the scope of supply of Dietz-
motoren specified in our order confirmation.

2. Eingangskontrolle

Nach der Anlieferung muss der Motor unverzüglich auf eventuell
vorhandene Transports
chäden überprüft werden. Erfolgt die
Inbetriebnahme nicht sofort, muss er in einem trockenen Raum
ohne schroffe Temperaturwechsel eingelagert werden. Die
Spannungsprüfung darf nicht wiederholt werden: Gefahr für die
Wicklungsisolation!
Once delivered,
the motor must be immediately checked for any
damage sustained during transit. If not started up straight away, it
must be stored in a dry room without abrupt changes in
temperature. The voltage test must not be repeated: dangerous for
winding insulation!
3. Aufstellung

Motor nur in der gekennzeichneten Bauform montieren und
betreiben. Fußmotoren müssen auf einer ebenen Fläche
aufgestellt werden.

4. Anschluss

Beim Anschließen müssen die Anziehdrehmomente für die
Klemmbrettmuttern nach folgender Tabelle eingehalten werden:

Für die Kabeleinführungen in den Klemmenkasten müssen Kabel-
verschraubungen mit Dichtungen verwendet werden. Bei
ortsveränderlichen Motoren ist eine Zugentlastung für die
Anschlussleitung vorzusehen.

should be provided for the connection cable.
Wenn der Klemmenkasten aus Kunststoff ist, dürfen nur
Kabelverschraubungen aus Kunststoff verwendet werden.

nführungen aus Metall haben in diesem Fall keine Verbindung
zum Schutzleitersystem.
If the terminal box is plastic, only plastic cable fittings may be
used. Metal inlets will not connect to the earth conductor system.
5. Instandhaltung

Die Instandhaltung der Motoren darf nur von der Firma Dietz-
motoren oder einer autorisierten Fachwerkstatt entsprechend den
nachfolgenden detaillierten Anweisungen durchgeführt werden.

5.1 Anleitung zur Instandhaltung 5.1 Instructions for maintenance
Vor dem Öffnen des Klemmenkastens und vor der Demontage
des Motors muss der elektrische Anschluss vom
Netz getrennt
werden. Am Motor nur arbeiten, wenn der Hauptschalter gegen
Wiedereinschalten gesichert ist!
Before opening the terminal box and removing the motor, the
electrical supply must be disconnected from the mains. Only work
on the motor if t
he main switch is locked so it cannot be switched
back on!

5.2 Zerlegen des Motors 5.2 Dismantling the motor
Lüfterhaube (5) abnehmen: Die 4 Schrauben am Umfang der
Lüfterhaube entfernen.
Sicherungsring vor dem Lüfterflügel (6) mit Zange entfernen,
dann
kann der Lüfterflügel mit einer Spezialvorrichtung abgezogen
werden. Die Abziehvorrichtung ist bei Dietz-
motoren gegen
Berechnung erhältlich.
Die Schrauben des Lagerabschlussdeckels (9) auf der Antriebs-
oder Gegenantriebsseite entfernen, wenn vorhanden.
Die Lagerschild-Befestigungsschrauben auf Antriebs- u. Gegen-
antriebsseite entfernen.
Lagerschilder (3) und (4) abnehmen und Rotor (2) aus dem Stator
(1) herausziehen
Take off fan cover (5): Remove the 4 screws on the circumference
of the fan cover.
Use pliers to remove circlip in front of fan blade (6). The fan blade
can then be pulled out with a special device, which can be bought
from Dietz-motoren.
Remove screws of bearing end plate (9) on driving or non-
driving
end, if present.
Remove retaining bolts for end shield on driving and non-
driving
end.
Take off end shields (3) and (4) and pull rotor (2) out of stator
(1)
5.3 Ersatzteile 5.3 Spare parts
Sie können die Originalersatzteile unter Angabe der
Motornummer und der Positionsnummer bei Dietz-
motoren bestellen, beziehungsweise unter Angabe der
Leistungsschildnummern.

Austausch bzw. Neufetten von Kugellagern Replacing / regreasing ball bearings
Die eingebauten Wälzlager sind lebensdauergeschmiert und
erreichen unter normalen Betriebsverhältnissen (Kupplungs-
betrieb, kein Wasser, kein Schmutz) folgende Betriebsstunden:

5.4 Zusammenbau des Motors 5.4 Assembling the motor

uss in umgekehrter Reihenfolge wie beim Zerlegen
vorgenommen werden. Es ist auf korrekte Anzugsmomente zu
achten.
The motor must be assembled following the instructions for
dismantling but in reverse order. Ensure correct tightening torques.
6. Schutzart bei Bauform IM B14 und IM B34
6. Protection class for models IM B14 and IM B34
Bei Bauform IM B14 bzw. IM B34 wird die Schutzart erst durch
Anflanschen des Motors an die Arbeitsmaschine erreicht.
Die angegebene maximale Einschraubtiefe ist unbedingt zu
beachten, da sonst die Motorwicklung beschädigt werden kann!
Die angegebene Motorschutzart wird erst nach Installation
erreicht, wenn dabei sämtliche mögliche Anschlussöffnungen o.Ä.
mit K
abel, geeigneten Kabelverschraubungen, Verschlußstopfen
abgedichtet worden sind.
Eventuell vorhandene Kondenswasserbohrungen müssen
verschlossen werden, um die angegebene Schutzart zu erreichen.

Schaltbild anschließen.

Netzzuleitung sorgfältig mit dem im Abschnitt „Anschluss“
angegebenen Drehmoment festziehen.

Der Motorschutz muss vor der Inbetriebnahme des Motors
angeschlossen werden. Der Motor muss vor Überhitzung
geschützt werden.
Die Überhitzu
ng kann z.B. durch Blockierung, Überlastung,
unzureichende Belüftung oder Zweiphasenlauf verursacht werden.
Angaben auf dem Leistungsschild (Beispiel):
 3 BIMET. 150°C
 3 KALTL. 150°C
Erläuterung:
 3 Bimetall-Temperaturfühler
Technische Daten: Nennleistung bei U = 250 V und
f = 50-60 Hz I = 2,5 A (cosφ = 1), l = 1,6 A (cosφ = 0,6)
 3 PTC-Temperaturfühler (Kaltleiter)
Technische Daten : Nach DIN 44081 und DIN 44082.
Hinweis: Es ist ein zusätzliches Auslösegerät erforderlich.
Anmerkung:
Bei Einphasen-Wechselstrommotoren oder Sondermotoren
ist eine abweichende Ausführung möglich.

11. Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung 11. Intended use
Der Betre
iber muss insbesondere sicherstellen, dass der Motor
nur bestimmungsgemäß verwendet, sowie nur in einwandfreiem,
funktionstüchtigem Zustand betrieben wird und besonders die
Sicherheitseinrichtungen regelmäßig auf ihre Funktionstüchtigkeit
überprüft werden.
Eigenmächtige Umbauten oder Veränderungen sind nicht
zulässig.
Die maximale Umgebungstemperatur darf +40°C nicht

Lagerlebensdauer reduziert ist und der Zustand der Lager
in kürzeren Intervallen überprüft werden muss.

Den Motor nicht ungeschützt im Freien lagern. Vor Feuchtigkeit
schützen.
Hebewerkzeug sicher ansetzen. Nur Hebezeuge und
Lastenaufnahmeeinrichtungen, mit ausreichender Tragfähigkeit
verwenden.
Flüs
sigkeitsgekühlte Motoren dürfen nur an den Ringösen
angehoben werden –
mechanische Belastung der Kühleinheit ist
nicht zulässig.
Bei Motoren oder Aggregaten, welche mit Schock-
Sensoren ausgestattet sind, ist dessen Zustand vor
Aufstellung zu prüfen. Bei ausgelöstem Schock-
Sensor
muss der Motor zur Überprüfung zurück zum Hersteller.

Securely attach lifting tackle. Only use lifting tackle and
accessories with a sufficient load-bearing capacity.
Liquid-cooled motors may only be lifted at the eyelets –
mechanical loading of the cooling unit is not permitted.
If motors or units are fitted with shock sensors,
their status should be checked before installation. If the
shock sensor triggers, the motor must be
returned to the manufacturer for inspection.

Schutzvorrichtungen, die für Montagearbeiten demontiert wurden,

Die Befestigung darf nur entweder am Flansch oder am Fuss
erfolgen, da sonst Überbestimmung vorliegt. Besonders zu
beachten bei Ausführung mit Bauform IM B34 und IM B35.
Auf geeignetem Motorschutzschal
ter achten durch Betreiber.
ATEX-Bedingungen beachten.
Der Motor darf keinen unzulässig hohen Schwing-
oder
Stoßbelastungen ausgesetzt sein.

these operating instructions and the applicable requirements.
As soon as assembly is complete (and before the motor is
connected to the power supply), refit protective fixtures removed
for the assembly work.
The motor may only be attached to either the flange or foot
otherwise the setup is redundant.
For versions with models IM B34
and IM B35, pay particular attention to the following.
Operator must ensure an appropriate motor protection switch.
Observe ATEX conditions.
The motor must not be subjected to impermissibly high vibration or
shock loads.





14. Inbetriebnahme

Bei der Montage und Inbetriebnahme des Motors ist folgendes zu
beachten:

Der Motor ist vor der ersten, und vor jeder neuen
Inbetriebnahme sorgfältig auf ordnungsgemäßen Zustand
zu prüfen.
 Motoren, welche zum Bei
spiel bei der Anlieferung oder der
Installation Beschädigungen aufweisen, dürfen nicht
betrieben werden.
 Beim Anschluss von ATEX-
Motoren dürfen nur
isolierte Kabelschuhe verwendet werden.

Es ist dafür zu sorgen, dass ein zuverlässiger Schutz gegen
Eindri
ngen von Fremdkörpern, Rost, Flugrost und sonstigen
Eisenoxiden vorhanden ist.

Nur regelmäßig geschultes Fachpersonal darf die Motoren,
montieren, betreiben und warten.

Betrieb nach fehlerhafter Montage oder Wartung führt zu
nicht bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch.

Die elektrische Installation wird gemäß DIN EN 60204
ausgeführt. Für einen vollständigen Potentialausgleich ist
zu sorgen: d.h. ausreichende, Sach-
und fachgerechte
Erdung aller elektrisch leitenden Teile. An der am
Motorgehäuse außen angebrachten Schu
tzleiterklemme ist
ein Schutzleiter anzuschließen.

Sicherstellung der Zugänglichkeit für eine regelmäßig
durchzuführende Wartung des Motors.

Bei Phasenleiter < 16 mm² muss der Schutzleiter
mindestens denselben Querschnitt wie der Phasenleiter
haben, jedoch mindestens 4 mm².

Die angegebene Schutzart wird nur erreicht, wenn
sämtliche Öffnungen (z.B. Einschraubgewinde für
Kabelverschraubungen, Kondenswasserbohrungen, ...)
kundenseitig verschlossen werden.
 Nicht genutzte Öffnungen müssen verschlossen werden.
 Der Betreiber muss bezüglich der Kabel-
und
Leitungseinführung, sowie der Zugentlastung für das Kabel
die DIN EN 60079-0 beachten, beziehungsweise einhalten.
The following should be noted when assembling and starting up
the motor:
 When started up fo
r the first time and whenever started up
subsequently, first carefully check that the motor is in the
proper condition.

For example, motors which are damaged upon delivery or
installation must not be operated.
 When connecting ATEX motors, only insulated c
able
sockets may be used.

Ensure reliable protection from the ingress of foreign bodies,
rust, flash rust and other iron oxides.

Only regularly trained experts may install, fit, operate and
maintain the motors.
 Operation following incorrect assembly or ma
intenance will
result in use other than that intended.

The electric installation is undertaken in accordance with
DIN EN 60204. Ensure sufficient potential equalization: i.e.
sufficient, proper and professional earthing of all electrically
conductive parts
. An earth conductor should be connected
to the earth conductor terminal fitted on the outside of the
motor housing.
 Ensure access for regular motor maintenance.

With phase conductors < 16 mm², the earth conductor must
have at least the same cross-section
as the phase
conductor. However, this must be at least 4 mm².

The stated protection class is only achieved if all openings
(e.g. screw-
in thread for cable fittings, condensate holes, ...)
are sealed by the customer.
 Unused openings must be sealed.
 With r
egard to cable and line inlets and traction relief, the
operator must observe and comply with DIN EN 60079-0.

Der Aufstellungsort muss in Art, Beschaffenheit,
Umgebungstemperatur und Umgebungsmedium für de

16. Wartung

Hinweis!
Die Wartungsvorschriften des Herstell
ers, sowie die Angaben
der Schalt- und Steuergeräte sind zu beachten.
Reparaturen dürfen nur vom Hersteller ausgeführt werden.
Bei Reparaturen durch Dritte kann keine Haftung
übernommen werden.
Die Lüfterhaube, besonders das Ansauggitter, und die Luftkan
äle
am Motorgehäuse müssen regelmäßig von Staub und Flusen
gereinigt werden. Die Zeitabstände der Reinigung richten sich
nach dem Staubanfall. Besonders in Textilbetrieben ist die
Entfernung des Faserfluges regelmäßig erforderlich.

Dust and fluff must be regularly cl
eaned off the fan cover,

cleaning intervals depend on the amount of dust produced. Fluff
must be regularly removed in textile plants in particular.

motoren autorisierte Unternehmen, Bauteile im Hause Dietz-
motoren austauschen sowie Dietz-motoren für explosions-
gefährdete Bereiche reparieren. Hiervon a
bweichende
Vorgehensweisen führen zum Verlust der Gewährleistung und der
Haftungsübernahme durch die Fa. Dietz-
motoren. Damit die
Funktionssicherheit und die vereinbarte Gewährleistung erhalten
bleiben, dürfen ausschließlich Original-Ersatzteile des Herste
llers
verwendet werden. Ersatzteillisten von Standard-
Motoren sind bei
ATEX- Geräten ungültig und nicht anwendbar.
Für Schäden durch Verwendung von Fremdteilen übernimmt
Dietz-motoren keine Haftung!
Achtung: Es dürfen nur vom Hersteller freigegebene Lag

verwendet werden. Hinweis: Die Betriebsstunden-
Angaben gelten
bei Nenndrehzahl und bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch; jedoch
nicht z.B. bei hoher Schalthäufigkeit. Abhängig von den
Umgebungsbedingungen müssen Lager und
Radialwellendichtringe ggf. früher ausgetauscht werden.
Der Potentialausgleich muss bei jeder Wartung überprüft und, falls
notwendig, in einwandfreien Zustand versetzt werden. Die
durchgeführten Arbeiten müssen unter Angabe des Ausführenden
chronologisch und vollständig dokumentiert werden. Ins
besondere
müssen die durchgeführten Maßnahmen, sowie die Einhaltung
aller geltenden Vorschriften und der Herstellerangaben
dokumentiert werden. Die Dokumentation muss gesichert und für
schnellen Zugriff verwahrt werden.

replace components at DIETZ and repair DIETZ motors for areas
at risk of explosion. Any other procedures result in the loss of
warranty and Dietz-motoren will no lo

retain the full functionality and agreed warranty, only genuine
manufacturer's spare parts may be used. Lists of spare parts for
standard motors do not apply to ATEX devices and cannot be
used.

ility for damage resulting from using

Notice: Only bearings approved by the manufacturer may be used.
Note: The stated operating hours apply at nominal speed and with
intended use; however, not with frequent switching, for example.
Depe
nding on the ambient conditions, bearings and radial shaft
sealing rings may have to be replaced sooner.
The potential equalisation must always be checked during
maintenance and corrected if necessary. The work undertaken
must be documented in full and i
n chronological order and the
person undertaking the work recorded. In particular, the measures
undertaken and compliance with all applicable requirements and
the manufacturer's details must be documented. The
documentation should be kept in a secure place
and for quick
access.
17. Haftung
17. Liability
Die Verantwortung für den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch trägt
der Betreiber. Die Fa. Dietz-
motoren lehnt jede Haftung für nicht
bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch ihrer Motoren und
Komponenten ab. Dies gilt
insbesondere auch für besondere
Verwendung und Einsatzbedingungen, welche nicht ausdrücklich
mit der Fa. Dietz-motoren abgestimmt wurden.
Bei eigenmächtigen und ungenehmigten Umbauten am gelieferten
Gerät erlischt sofort die Herstellergarantie. Für Schäden
und
Betriebsstörungen, die auf das Nichtbeachten der
Betriebsanleitung zurückzuführen sind, übernimmt Dietz-
motoren
keine Haftung.

fachgerecht zu entsorgen.

20. Motoren mit Flüssigkeitskühlung
20. Motors with liquid cooling
Bei Motoren mit Flüssigkeitskühlung wird die Verlustwärme über
das Kühlwasser abgeführt.
Folgende Punkte sind dabei zu beachten:
20.1 Es muss sauberes Kühlwasser, Wasserhärte 1,3 mmol
Calciumcarbonat pro Liter Wasser (max. 7,3°dH),
verwendet
werden. Eine Verschmutzung durch mitgeführte Partikel im
Kühlwasser muss gegebenenfalls durch geeignete
Filtersysteme verhindert werden.
20.2 Zur Vermeidung von elektrochemischen Reaktionen ist auf
geeignete Materialpaarungen zu achten.
20.3 Die Kühlwasser-
Einlauftemperatur beträgt min. 10°C und
max. 25°C, wenn nicht anders spezifiziert.
20.4
Bei Betrieb oder Lagerung des Motors unterhalb der
Frostgrenze muss ein Gefrieren des Kühlwassers verhindert
werden. Hierzu kann entweder bei Lagerung d
as
Kühlwasser entleert werden, bzw. für den Betrieb ist ein
Frostschutzadditiv zu verwenden.
20.5
Um Kondenswasserbildung zu unterbinden, muss, wenn die
Kühlmitteltemperatur kleiner als die Raumtemperatur ist, mit
Abschalten des Motors auch der Kühlmittelkrei
slauf
unterbrochen werden.
20.6 Der Betrieb des Motors ohne Kühlwasser ist nicht zulässig.
20.7
Der maximale Wasserdruck beträgt 3,5 bar, wenn nicht
anders spezifiziert.
20.8
Der Wasserauslauf am Motor ist oben, so dass sich keine
Luft im Kühlsystem ansammeln kann.
Eine andere
Einbaulage ist nur zulässig, wenn entsprechend spezifiziert,
oder nach Rücksprache mit dem Werk.
Lost heat in motors with liquid cooling is dissipated via the coolant.
The following points should be noted:
20.1 Clean coolant with a water hardness of 1.3 mmol calcium
