WWVB RADIO CONTROLLED TIME
The NIST (National Institute of Standards and
Technology)radio station (WWVB) is located in Ft.
Collins, Colorado. It transmits an exact time signal
continuously throughout the most of the continental
United States at 60 KHz frequency. The Jumbo Atomic
Clock can receive this WWVB signal through the
internal antenna from up to 2,000 miles away. Due to the
nature of the Earth’s ionosphere, reception can be
limited during the daylight hours. The radio controlled
clock will search for an alternate station that receives the
atomic time signal from the NIST Atomic clock in
Boulder, Colorado.The WWVB tower icon on the unit’s
display will flash indicating a radio signal reception
from the WWVB station. If the tower icon is not fully lit,
or if the time and date are not set automatically, please
consider the following:
• During night-time hours, atmospheric disturbances
 are typically less severe and radio signal reception
 may improve. A single daily reception is sufficient
 enough to keep the clock accuracy within 1 second.
• Make sure the unit is positioned at 8 feet (2 meters)
 distance from any interference source such as a TV,
 computer monitor, microwave, etc.
• Within concrete wall rooms such as basements or
 office buildings, the received signal may be weakened.
 Always place the Jumbo Clock near the window for
 better reception.
GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
• Open the battery compartment door.
• Install 2 batteries (UM-3 or “AA” size 1.5V)
matching the polarity as shown in the battery
compartment.
• Replace the battery compartment door.
ATOMIC CLOCK
Immediately after batteries are installed, the atomic
time signal receiver will start to search for the time
signal. It usually takes between 5-8 minutes.
Once the atomic time signal is received, the date and
time will be set automatically, and the [ ] icon will
appear. If the time signal has not been received in 8
minutes, press MODE button to set the time and date
manually. After the clock is set manually, place it by
the window for the better reception. The atomic clock
receiver is rogrammed that it will continue to search
for the atomic time signal daily for every hour between
1:00 am and 4:30 am.
Once the time signal has been successfully received,
the time and date will be updated automatically.
CALENDAR AND CLOCK DISPLAY MODES
Precise time is displayed in hour-minutes-seconds
format on the top line of the Jumbo Clock.
The date is displayed in month-date format on the
bottom line next to the day of the week.

MANUAL SETTINGS
TIME ZONE
Option One
Slide the TIME ZONE switch to the desired US Time
Zone position.
Option Two
• Select the Time Zone by pressing and holding the UP
btton for 3 seconds.
• Keep holding UP button until the desired time zone
(Pacific, Mountain, Central or Eastern) is highlighted
on the unit’s display map.
CLOCK
• Press and hold TIME SET button for 3 seconds:
the hour will flash. Press UP or DOWN/LANG
 to change flashing digits.
• After the first value is set, press TIME SET button
 again to confirm and move to the next parameter.
• Continue setting minutes, year,
 month and date.
INDOOR TEMPERATURE
The indoor temperature shares the same line calendar
and the day of the week.
NOTE: If the indoor temperature goes above or below
operating range stated in specifications, the display
will show dashes [ ]
HOW TO USE THE TABLE STAND
The clock has an unfolding table stand that supports it
on the flat surface.The unit can also be mounted on the
wall using the recessed screw hole. The table stand must
be folded prior to mounting.
PRECAUTIONS
This product is engineered to give you years of
satisfactory service if handled carefully. Here are
a few precautions:
1. Do not immerse the unit in water.
2. Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive
 materials. They may scratch the plastic parts and
 corrode the electronic circuits.
3. Do not subject the product to excessive force, shock,
dust, temperature, or humidity, which may result in
 malfunctions, shorter lifespan, damaged batteries,
 and damaged parts.
4. Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components.
Doing so will invalidate the warranty and may cause

5. Use only fresh batteries. Do not mix new and old
batteries.
6. Read the user's manual thoroughly before operating
 the unit.

HORA WWVB CONTROLADA POR RADIO
La estación de radio del NIST (Instituto Nacional de
Estándares y Tecnología) está situada en Ft. Collins,
Colorado. Transmite una señal de la hora exacta
continuamente para Estados Unidos continental a una
frecuencia de 60 KHz Estel reloj gigante con hora
atómica puede recibir la dicha señal WWVB mediante
su antena interna hasta a 3.200 km (2.000 millas) de
distancia, Debido a la naturaleza de la ionosfera
terrestre, la recepción puede ser muy limitada durante
las horas diurnas Estel reloj controlado por radio
buscará una estación de radio alternativa que derive su
señal del reloj atómico NIST de Boulder, Colorado.
El icono de torre de hora atómica de la pantalla de la

PUESTA EN MARCHA
INSTALACIÓN DE LAS PILAS:
1. Abra la tapa del compartimento de las pilas.
2. Coloque dos pilas tamaño UM-3 o “AA” de 1,5 V
respetando la polaridad que se muestra en el
compartimento de las pilas.
3. Coloque de nuevo la tapa del compartimento de
las pilas.
RELOJ COHORAA ATÓMICA
1.Después de colocar las pilas por primera vez, el
receptor de la señal de hora atómica buscará
automáticamente la señal horaria. Esto requiere de
5 a 8 minutos.
2. Cuando se reciba la señal de hora atómica, la
fecha y la hora se ajustarán automáticamente, y
aparecerá, y el icono [ ].

3. Si en ocho minutos no se recibe la señal horaria,
pulse el botón [MODE] (modo) (modo) para
ajustar la hora manualmente.
4. Después de ajustar el reloj manualmente, colóquelo
cerca de una ventana para conseguir una mejor
recepción. El reloj seguirá buscando la señal de hora
 atómica diariamente cada hora entre la 1:00 am y las
 4:30 am. Cuando la señal se reciba satisfactoriamente,
la hora y la fecha se actualizarán automáticamnte.
MODOS DE PRESENTACIÓN DEL RELOJ Y EL
CALENDARIO
La lÌnea superior de la pantalla de este reloj gigante
muestra la hora exacta en formato hora-minutos-
segundos.La fecha se muestra en formato mes-dÌa en
la lÌnea inferior, al lado del dÌa de la
semana.
CÓMO AJUSTAR EL RELOJ MANUALMENTE
ZONA HORARIA
Opción n°1:
•  Ajuste la zona horaria manteniendo pulsado
 el botón [UP] (arriba) durante dos segundos.
• Mantenga presionado el botón hasta que se
 seleccione la zona horaria deseada (Pacífico,
 Rocosas, Central o Este) en el mapa de la pantalla.
Opción n°2:
•Deslice el selector TIME ZONE (zona horaria)
 hasta la posición de zona horaria de EE.UU. que desee.
FECHA, HORA Y AÑO
• Mantenga pulsado TIME SET (ajuste de la hora)
 durante dos segundos: la HORA
 parpadeará.
•Pulse [UP] (arriba) o [DOWN] (abajo) para
cambiar los dígitos que parpadean.
•Una vez haya fijado el primer valor, pulse de
 nuevo [TIME SET] para confirmar y pasar al
siguiente parámetro).
•Continúe fijando los minutos, año, mes y día.
 Cuando haya ajustado el último valor, pulse
 TIME SET por última vez para volver al modo
 de presentación normal (hora y segyndos).
FORMATO HORARIO
• Pulse el botón [UP] (arriba) para cambiar
entre el formato horario de 12 y 24 horas.
IDIOMA DEL DÍA DE LA SEMANA
• Mantenga pulsado el botón [DOWN] (abajo)
durante tres segundos y empezará a parpadear
la abreviatura del idioma predeterminado
(por ejemplo, ENG).
• Mantenga pulsado el botón [DOWN] hasta
seleccionar el idioma deseado.
UNIDADES DE TEMPERATURA
Pulse el botón [WAVE/°C/°F] (onda/F/C) para
cambiar entre el formato de °C o °F.
COMPROBACIÓN DE LA TEMPERATURA
INTERIOR
La temperatura interior utiliza la misma línea de la
pantalla que el calendario y el día de la semana.
Si la temperatura medida excede por encima o por
debajo el rango de temperatura de funcionamiento
que indican las especificaciones, la pantalla mostrará
guiones “ ”
CÓMO USAR EL SOPORTE DE MESA
Este reloj tiene un soporte de mesa desplegable en
la parte trasera, que sostiene la unidad en una superficie
plana. Dicha unidad también puede montarse en la
pared mediante el agujero para tornillo de montaje en
pared. Para poder montar la unidad, es preciso retirar
previamente el soporte.
PRECAUCIONES
Este producto está diseñado pa dar muchos años
de servicio satisfactorio si se maneja con cuidado.
A continuación se indican algunos consejos a seguir:
1. No sumerja la unidad en agua.
2. No limpie la unidad con materiales abrasivos o
corrosivos. Podrían arañar las partes plásticas y
corroer los circuitos electrónicos.
3. No someta el producto a fuerza excesiva, choques,
polvo, temperatura o humedad, lo que podría causar
mal funcionamiento, una vida más corta, pilas y
piezas dañadas.
