WWVB RADIO CONTROLLED TIME
The NIST (National Institute of Standards and
Technology) radio station (WWVB) is located in Ft.
Collins, Colorado. It transmits an exact time signal
continuously throughout the most of the continental
United States at 60 KHz frequency. The Travel Alarm
Clock can receive this WWVB signal through the
internal antenna from up to 2,000 miles away. Due to
the nature of the Earth’s ionosphere, reception can be
limited during the daylight hours. The radio controlled
clock will search for an alternate station that receives
the atomic time signal from the NIST Atomic clock in
Boulder, Colorado.
The WWVB tower icon on the unit’s display will flash
indicating a radio signal reception from the WWVB
station. If the tower icon is not fully lit, or if the time
and date are not set automatically, please consider the
following:
* During night-time hours, atmospheric disturbances
 are typically less severe and radio signal reception
 may improve. A single daily reception is sufficient
 enough to keep the clock accuracy within 1 second.
* Make sure the unit is positioned at 8 feet (2 meters)
 distance from any interference source such as a TV,
 computer monitor, microwave, etc.
* Within concrete wall rooms such as basements or
office buildings, the received signal may be weakened.
 Always place the Travel Alarm Clock near the
 window for better reception.
GETTING STARTED
BATTERY INSTALLATION
* Open the battery compartment door.
* Install one (1) batteries AAA (UM-4) size 1.5V matching
 the polarity as shown in the battery compartment.
* Replace the battery compartment door.
ATOMIC CLOCK
Immediately after batteries are installed, the atomic time
signal receiver will start to search for the time signal. It
usually takes between 5-8 minutes.
Once the atomic time signal is received, the date and time
will be set automatically, and the [ ] icon will appear.
If the time signal has not been received in 8 minutes, press
MODE button to set the time and date manually.
After the clock is set manually, place it by the window for
the better reception. The atomic clock receiver is
programmed that it will continue to search for the atomic
time signal daily for every hour between 1:00 am and
4:30 am. Once the time signal has been successfully
received, the time and date will be updated automatically.
CALENDAR AND CLOCK DISPLAY MODES
Precise time is displayed in hour-
minutes-seconds format on the top
ine of the Atomic Alarm Clock.
The date is displayed in month-date
format on the bottom line next to the
day of the week.
Both Alarms share the space with
Indoor Temperature and can be
viewed by pressing of the MODE
button.

E. DOWN ( – ) BUTTON
* Decreases all function parameters
* Sets the language for the day of the week

PROGRAMMING THE SNOOZE INTERVAL
* Press and hold 1SET button for two seconds to activate an
 Alarm1 programming mode. Alarm1 hour digit will flash.
* Adjust the desired hour using UP (+) or DOWN (-)
 buttons.
* Press 1SET button: the minute digits will flash.
* Adjust the desired minutes using UP (+) or
 DOWN (-) buttons.
* Press 1SET button again: the snooze interval minutes
 will flash.
* Adjust the desired interval time
 using UP (+) or DOWN (-) buttons.
* Press 1SET button to confirm set snooze interval.
Use the same procedure to program the snooze interval for
Alarm2.
INDOOR TEMPERATURE
The indoor temperature shares the same display’s line
with the calendar and the day of the week.
NOTE: If the indoor temperature goes above or below
operating range stated in specifications, the display will
show dashes [ ]
PRECAUTIONS
This product is engineered to give you years of satisfactory
service if handled carefully. Here are a few precautions:
* Do not immerse the unit in water.
* Do not clean the unit with abrasive or corrosive
 materials. They may scratch the plastic parts and
 corrode the electronic circuits.
* Do not subject the product to excessive force, shock,
 dust, temperature, or humidity, which may result in
 malfunctions, shorter lifespan, damaged batteries, and
 damaged parts.
SETTING THE ALARM
To set the Alarm1,
* Press MODE button once to display
 ALARM TIME 1. If the alarm is off,
 the default time “6:00” will be
 displayed.
* Press and hold 1SET button for two
 seconds. The hour digit will flash.
* Enter the hour using DOWN (-) or
UP (+).
* Press 1SET button again. The minute
 digits will flash.
* Enter the minutes using DOWN (-)
or UP (+).
* Press 1SET button again to confirm:
 an icon [ ] will appear on the
 display next to the alarm time.
* Repeat the same procedure to set an
 Alarm2, using 2SET button.
LIGHT/SNOOZE
When the alarm sounds, press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button
to temporarily stop the alarm. After the LIGHT/SNOOZE
is depressed, the alarm sound will resume in five minutes.
If the alarm is not disabled after that, it will sound for
four more minutes and then will stop by itself.
DISABLING ALARM
Press 1SET or 2SET buttons on the unit to disable any of
the alarms.
When Al1 and Al2 are disabled, an applicable icon [ ]
or [ ] disappears from the unit’s display.
MANUAL SETTINGS
TIME ZONE
* Select the Time Zone by pressing and
holding the UP (+) button for 3 seconds.
* Keep holding UP (+) button until the
 desired time zone (Pacific, Mountain,
 Central or Eastern) is highlighted on
 the clock’s display map.
CLOCK
* Press and hold MODE button for 3
 seconds: the year digit will flash.
* Press UP (+) or DOWN (-) to
 change flashing digits.
* After the first value is set, press
MODE button again to confirm and
 move to the next parameter.
* Continue setting month, date, hour
 and minutes and the temperature
 display in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
* Press MODE button for the last
 time to confirm the settings after
 the last parameter is set.
TIME FORMAT
* Press UP(+) button to toggle
 between 12 and 24 hour time format
DAY OF THE WEEK LANGUAGE
* Press and hold DOWN (-) button
 for 3 seconds: the default language
abbreviation will flash ( example – EN)
* Continue holding DOWN (-) button
 until the desired day of the week
 language abbreviation is selected.
* Release the DOWN (-) button to
 confirm the setting.
ALARMS
There are two available alarms –Alarm 1 and Alarm 2.
If any of alarms is activated, it will sound at the set time
and the alarm icon will flash Mondays through Fridays.

HORA WWVB CONTROLADA POR RADIO
La estación de radio del NIST (Instituto Nacional de
Estándares y Tecnología) está situada en Ft. Collins,
Colorado. Transmite continuamente una señal de la hora
exacta para Estados Unidos continental a una frecuencia
de 60 KHz. Este reloj despertador de viaje con hora
atómica puede recibir la señal WWVB mediante su
antena interna hasta a 3.200 km (2.000 millas) de distancia.
Debido a la naturaleza de la ionosfera terrestre, la recepción
puede ser muy limitada durante las horas diurnas. Este
reloj controlado por radio buscará una estación alternativa
que derive su señal del reloj atómico NIST de Boulder,
Colorado.
El icono de la torre WWVB parpadeará para indicar la
recepción de la señal de radio de la estación WWVB. Si
el icono de la torre no está totalmente iluminado, o si la
hora no se configura automáticamente, tenga en cuenta
lo siguiente:
* Durante las horas nocturnas, las perturbaciones

PUESTA EN MARCHA
INSTALACIÓN DE LAS PILAS:
* Abra la tapa del compartimento de las pilas.
* Coloque una pila tamaño AAA de 1,5 V respetando la
 polaridad como se muestra en el compartimento de
 las pilas.
3. Coloque de nuevo la tapa del compartimento de las pilas.
RELOJ CON HORA ATÓMICA
1. Después de colocar las pilas, el receptor de la señal
 horaria WWVB comenzará a buscar automáticamente
 la señal horaria. Esto requiere de 5 a 8 minutos.
2. Si se recibe la señal de radio, la fecha y la hora se
configurarán automáticamente y aparecerá el icono [ ].
3. Si en ocho minutos no se recibe la señal horaria, pulse el
botón [MODE] (modo) para ajustar la hora manualmente.
4.Después de ajustar el reloj manualmente, colóquelo cerca
 de una ventana para conseguir una mejor recepción. El
reloj continuará buscando la señal horaria WWVB cada
 hora entre la 1:00 am y las 4:30 am diariamente. Cuando
 la señal se reciba satisfactoriamente, la hora y la fecha se
 actualizarán automáticamente.
MODOS DE PRESENTACIÓN DEL
RELOJ Y EL CALENDARIO
La línea superior de la pantalla del
despertador con hora atómica
muestra la hora actual exacta en
formato hora-minutos-segundos.
La fecha se muestra en formato
mes-día en la línea inferior, al lado
del día de la semana. Ambas alarmas
comparten el espacio con la temperatura
interior y se pueden ver al pulsando el
botón [MODE] (modo).
CÓMO AJUSTAR EL RELOJ
MANUALMENTE
ZONA HORARIA
* Seleccione la zona horaria
 manteniendo pulsado el botón
[ + ] (arriba) durante dos segundos.
* Mantenga pulsado el botón [ + ]
 (arriba) hasta seleccionar la hora
 deseada (Pacífico, Rocosas, Central
 o Este) en el mapa de la pantalla
AÑO, FECHA, HORA Y UNIDAD
DE TEMPERATURA
*Pulse [MODE] (modo) para cambiar
 entre las pantallas de ALARMA1,
 ALARMA2 e INDOOR
 TEMPERATURE (temperatura
 interior).
*Mantenga pulsado el botón [MODE]
 durante dos segundos: el dígito de
 AÑO parpadeará.
*Pulse [ + ] (arriba) o [ – ] (abajo) para
 cambiar los dígitos que parpadean.
*Una vez haya ajustado el primer valor,
pulse [MODE] de nuevo para confirmar

*Continúe ajustando el mes, el día, la
 hora, el formato de las unidades de
 presentación de la temperatura
 (ºC / ºF) y el día de la semana. Cuando
 haya ajustado el último valor, presione
MODO una última vez para volver al
 modo de presentación normal (hora

* Configuran las alarmas 1 y 2, y muestran el estado
 actual de las alarmas.

* Alterna entre los modos de presentación
 (ALARMA1, ALARMA2, y TEMPERATURA).
* Activa el modo de programación.
* Desactiva el receptor de hora atómica.
D. BOTÓN [ + ] (arriba)
* Incrementa el ajuste.
* Selecciona el formato de 12 o 24 horas.
* Selecciona la zona horaria.
* Activa el receptor de hora atómica cuando se pulsa a
 la vez que el botón [ + ] (abajo).
E. BOTÓN [ – ] (abajo)
* Decrementa el ajuste.
* Selecciona el idioma del día de la semana.
* Activa el receptor de hora atómica cuando se pulsa
 a la vez que el botón [ – ] (arriba).
F. BOTÓN SNOOZE/LIGHT (repetidor/luz)
* Activa la función Repetidor y la retroiluminación
 del LCD.

CÓMO PROGRAMAR EL
INTERVALO DE REPETICIÓN
*Mantenga pulsado [1SET] durante dos segundos para
 pasar al modo de programación de la ALARMA1.
 El dígito de hora de la ALARMA1 parpadeará.
*Ajuste el intervalo deseado usando los botones [ + ]
 (arriba) o[ – ] (abajo).
*Pulse el botón [1SET]. Los minutos parpadearán.
*Ajuste el intervalo deseado usando los botones [ + ]
 (arriba) o[ – ] (abajo).
*Pulse de nuevo el botón [1SET]. Los minutos del
 intervalo de repetición parpadearán.
*Ajuste el intervalo de tiempo
 deseado usando los botones [ + ]
 (arriba) o[ – ] (abajo).
*Pulse el botón 1SET para confirmar el intervalo de
 repetición ajustado.
Use la misma técnica para ajustar el intervalo de
repetición para la ALARMA2.
COMPROBACIÓN DE LA
TEMPERATURA INTERIOR
La temperatura interior comparte la misma línea de la
pantalla con el calendario y el día de la semana. Si la
temperatura interior excede por encima o por debajo el
rango de temperatura de operación indicado en las
especificaciones, la pantalla mostrará guiones “ ”
PRECAUCIONES
Este producto está diseñado para dar muchos años de servicio
satisfactorio si se maneja con cuidado. A continuación se
indican algunos consejos a seguir:
* No sumerja la unidad en agua.
* No limpie la unidad con materiales abrasivos o corrosivos.
 Podrían arañar las partes plásticas y corroer los circuitos
 electrónicos.
CÓMO CONFIGURAR LA ALARMA
Para ajustar la Alarma 1:
* Pulse [1SET] (Ajustar1) una vez
 para ver la hora de la alarma. Si la
 alarma está desactivada, se mostrará
 “6:00”, la hora predeterminada.
* Mantenga pulsado [1SET] durante
 dos segundos. Parpadeará el dígito
 de la hora.
* Introduzca la hora usando los
 botones [ + ] (arriba) o[ – ] (abajo).
* Pulse [1SET] de nuevo. Los dígitos
 de minuto parpadearán.
* Introduzca los minutos mediante
[ + ] (arriba) o[ – ] (abajo).
* Pulse de nuevo [1SET] de nuevo
 para confirmar. Aparecerá el icono
 [ ] en la pantalla al lado de la hora
 de la alarma.
* Para ajustar la Alarma 2, repita el
 mismo procedimiento usando el
 botón [2SET].
LUZ / REPETIDOR
Cuando suene la alarma, pulse la tecla [LIGHT/SNOOZE]
(luz/repetidor) para parar la alarma temporalmente.
Después de pulsar [LIGHT/SNOOZE], la alarma sonará
de nuevo pasados cinco minutos. Si a continuación no se
desactiva la alarma, sonará durante cuatro minutos más
y se parará sola.
CÓMO DESACTIVAR LA ALARMA
Para desactivar ALARMA1 o ALARMA2, pulse el botón
[1SET] o [2SET] de la unidad.
Cuando AL1 y AL2 están desactivadas, el icono
correspondiente, [ ] o [ ], desaparecerá de la pantalla
de la unidad.

* Para ver la hora en formato horario
 de 12 o 24 horas, pulse el botón
[ + ] (arriba).
CÓMO SELECCIONAR EL
IDIOMA DEL DÍA DE
LA SEMANA
*Mantenga pulsado el botón [ – ]
 (abajo) durante tres segundos:
 empezará a parpadear la abreviatura
 del idioma predeterminado (por
 ejemplo, EN).
*Siga pulsando el botón [ – ] (abajo)
 hasta seleccionar la abreviatura del
 idioma deseado.
*Para confirmar el ajuste, suelte el
botón [ – ] (abajo).
ALARMAS
Hay dos alarmas disponibles: Alarma 1 y Alarma 2.
Si está activada cualquiera de las alarmas, sonará a la hora
fijada, de lunes a viernes, y parpadeará el icono de alarma.
*No someta el producto a fuerza, choques, polvo,
 temperatura o humedad excesivos, lo que podría causar
 mal funcionamiento, una vida más corta, pilas y piezas
 dañadas.
* No altere los componentes internos de la unidad. El
 hacerlo invalidará la garantía y podría causar daños. Esta
 unidad no contiene piezas que requieren mantenimiento
 por parte del usuario.
* Utilice sólo pilas nuevas. No mezcle pilas nuevas y viejas.
* Lea minuciosamente el manual del usuario antes de
 operar la unidad.
