1. Getting started. Connect the red terminal to the “+” side of
the battery and the black terminal to the “-” side of the
battery and then connect the charger to the mains supply.
When the charger is plugged in, the power indicator lights
up green.
2. Press the MODE button to select the appropriate charging
voltage that matches the battery's rated voltage: select 6 V
charging voltage for a 6 V battery and 12 V charging voltage
for a 12 V battery. The selected mode will turn green.
3. The charger will automatically enter the charging mode. If
the voltage at the battery terminals is more than 2 V, the
power indicator will flash green. If the voltage is less than
2 V, the charging process will not start.
4. When the battery is fully charged, the charger will
automatically enter trickle charge mode and the power
indicator will light up green.
5. Before disconnecting the battery, unplug the charger from
the mains supply and then remove the terminals from the
battery.
6. If the battery is faulty, the fault indicator will go on.
WARNING!
Use the correct charging voltage according to the battery's rated
voltage!
Do not charge the battery when the engine is running!
III. SAFETY FUNCTIONS
1. Short circuit protection. The charger will automatically
power off if the terminals are short-circuited.
2. Overtemperature protection. The charger powers off in
two situations, as described below, and automatically enters
the charging mode when the operating temperature is
restored:
a) when the charger has been exposed to high temperatures
for a long time;
b) when the temperature inside the charger exceeds the
operating temperature.
3. Spark protection. The terminals are not energized until the
battery is connected.
