AUTOMATICDEGAUSSING
All colourtelevision receiversaresensitivetomagneticinfluences,usuallycaused byeither
moving the receiverfromone placetoanotherorusing certainelectricalappliancesnearthe
receiver.Thisresidualmagnetismasitiscalled,sometimescausesdistortionwhichgivesrise
to"blotchy"areasofcolourinthe picture.Toavoidtheseeffectsthe receiverincorporatesan
automaticdegaussing circuitwhichoperatesforashortwhileimmediatelyeachtimethe
receiverisswitched on using the mainsswitch.Thiscircuitremovesanyresidualmagnetismin
the metalpartsofthe picturetube and thereforeensuresthateachtimethe receiverisswitched
lifelike.If the setismoved orfaced inadifferentdirection,the mainsswitchmustbe switched
off atleast10 minutesinorderthatthe automaticdegaussing circuitoperatesproperly.

PICTURECD OPERATION
Caring forDiscs
•Treatthe disc carefully.Handlethe disc onlyby
itsedges.Neverallowyourfingerstocomein
contactwiththe shiny,unprinted side ofthe disc.
•Donotattachadhesivetape,stickers,etc.tothe
disc label.
•Clean the disc periodicallywithasoft, lint-free,
drycloth.Neverusedetergentsorabrasive
cleanerstoclean the disc.If necessary,usea
CDcleaning kit.
•Ifadisc skipsorgetsstuck on asection ofthedisc,itisprobablydirtyordamaged (scratched).
•When cleaning the disc,wipe instraightlinesfromthe centerofthe disc tothe outeredge of
the disc.Neverwipe incircularmotions.
•Discs shouldbe stored intheircasesaftereachusetoavoiddamage.
•Donotexposediscs todirectsunlight, high humidity,high temperaturesordust, etc.
Prolonged exposureorextremetemperaturescan warpthe disc.
•Donotstick orwriteanything on eitherside ofthe disc.Sharpwriting instruments,orthe
ink,maydamage the surface.

1.Loosen the screwtoopen the battery
compartmentcover.
2.Install two(2)“AAA”batteries(notincluded)intoeach
remote,paying attention tothe polaritydiagraminthe
batterycompartment.
3.Screwthe batterycompartmentcoveron the battery
compartment.
CAUTION:
1.Onlyadultsshouldreplacebatteries.
2.Donotmixoldand newbatteries.
3.Donotmixdifferenttypesofbatteries.Donotmixalkaline,standard(carbon-zinc),or
rechargeable(nickel-cadmium)batteries.
4.Useonlyfreshbatteriesofthe required sizeand recommended type.
5.Disposeofoldbatteriespromptlyand properly.Donotburnorburythem.
6. If you do notplan touseyourunitforaprolonged period,removethe batteries.Batteries

toturnONDVD.
2.Pressthe OPEN/CLOSE ()button toopen the disc tray.Insertadisc withthe labelside facing
up on the disc tray.
3.Pressthe OPEN/CLOSE ()button toclosethe disc tray.Afterloading,the menu screen ofthe
DVDshouldappear.Usethe Navigation (,,,)buttonsoselectthe desired option and the
PLAY/ENTERbutton toselectit; playback will startimmediately.
4.Tostop playback,press the STOP()button.Becausethe unitwill rememberwhereyou
stopped,simplypress the PLAY/ENTERbutton toresumeplayback whereyou left off. If the
STOP()button ispressed twice,the unitwill stop completely.
NOTES:
•If aMENU appearson the TVscreen,press the Navigation (,,,)buttonstoselectthe

Press the DISPLAY button twice,followed bythe Numberbuttons(i.e.fornumber12,press “1”,
“2”)todirectlygo toachapter;playback will startimmediately.
DVDMENU
Press the MENU button,and the MainMenu ofthe disc will appear.Usethe Navigation (,,,)
buttonstoselectthe desired option,and then press the PLAY/ENTERbutton.Thisisnotavailable
on all discs.

OPERATINGTHETELEVISION
ConnectyourTVaerialtothe aerialinputsocketlocated on the back ofthe TV.
Pushthe MainPowerSwitch,PowerIndicatorwill be illuminated.Afterfewsecondsthe TV
screen will lightup and will showinterferenceon the screen.The TVwill requiretuning intothe
availableTVstationsinyourarea.
Pre-setting theTVstationsintotheMemory
