Setting Up DMX Connection with an E ternal Controller:
1. Connect the Hyper unit to a DMX Controller (not included) using an microphone
or data cable with XLR connectors. Multiple Hyper units may be connected by
daisy-chaining them together. (Note that XLR input and output jacks are wired in
parallel so that either may be used as input or output.)
2. Set the DMX Start Channel on the Hyper unit so that it is the same as the DMX
Start Channel on the lighting controller.
3. Adjust the DMX channels on the controller to manipulate the light as desired.
Typical DMX Operation:
1. Set Channel 4 (master dimmer) to maximun value.
2. Set Channels 1, 2, & 3 so that the desired color is achieved.
3. If strobing is desired, set Chanel 6 to 10 and adjust speed with Channel 5.
4. Set Channel 4 so that the desired overall brightness is achieved.

Operation without an E ternal Controller (Master/Slave Mode)
1. Connect all units together using microphone/data cable.
2. Set the 'Master' unit to desired color output, choosing from the 'Fd' (Fading color
change), 'Sn' (Snapping color change), 'Co' (Preset colors), or 'SoUd' (Sound
active) settings described in the Modes of Operation section of this manual.
3. Set all other units (slaves) to 'd001' (not d.001).
4. All units will not have the same output as the master unit.
Modes of Operation
here are six modes of operation, each of which may be accessed by pressing the
'Menu' button on the back of the unit. Each press of the 'Menu' button advances to the
next mode. he modes are:
Display (min to max value) Function
d001 d512 3 Channel Mode (1= Red, 2 = Blue, 3 = Green)
Use d001 setting for slave units.

Fd01 Fd99 Fade: Color Cycle by Fading (slow to fast; press 'Enter' to
confirm)
Sn01 Sn99 Snap: Color Cycle by Snapping (slow to fast; press 'Enter'

Co01 Co99 Preset Colors (1=white, 2=red, 3=green, 4=blue, etc.)
SoUd SoUd Sound Mode: Colors change to sound
