TUNE & PLAY
HOLD A NOTE PLATE AND ROTATE THE ENCODER TO TUNE ITS CORRESPONDING CV.
TUNING IS QUANTISED TO SEMITONES, ALTERS CV OUTPUT OVER 3 OCTAVES.
USE OCTAVE PLATES TO TRANSPOSED CV FROM -2 to +2 OCTAVES.
SWITCH OUTPUTS
USE THEM TO TRIGGER ENVELOPES OR MANIPULATE CV CONTROLLABLE PARAMETERS.
ALTHOUGH XIIO HAS NO PRESSURE CONTROLLED CV OUTPUT THIS SWITCHES CAN BRING
SOME ADDITIONAL MOVEMENT TO YOUR COMPOSITION.

ARPEGGIATOR WILL STEP THROUGH TOUCHED PLATES IN ORDER OF THEIR NUMBER (SHOWN BELOW).
THIS MEANS THAT ARPEGGIATION WON’T NECESSARY HAPPEN IN THE CLASSIC WAY, SINCE NOTE PLATES
CAN BE CONFIGURED TO ANY NOTE.
- SEQUENCER -
SEQUENCER WILL STEP THROUGH A SEQUENCE OF NOTE PLATES, WHICH IS GENERATED FROM THE
TOUCHED NOTE PLATE TILL THE SELECTED SEQ SCOPE. ABOVE #8 THE SEQUENCE GENERATOR OVERFLOWS
BACK TO #1 AND INCREASES OCTAVE BY ONE.
FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU TOUCH NOTE PLATE NUMBER #3 AND SET SEQ SCOPE = 7,
THE GENERATED SEQENCE WILL LOOK LIKE: #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8, #1 OCTAVE ABOVE, #2 OCTAVE ABOVE
- CALIBRATION METHOD -
1.) TURN ON YOUR SYSTEM AND LET IT WARM UP FOR 20 MINUTES.
2.) SET OCTAVE MODE TO LATCHING AND OCTAVE ACTION TO IMMEDIATE (PAGE 2)
3.) EXIT SETTINGS, HIT A NOTE PLATE, TUNE IT TO MINIMUM, STEP DOWN TO THE LOWEST OCTAVE
4.) PLUG YOUR MULTIMETER INTO THE CV OUTPUT AND TUNE THE ZERO TRIMMER
SO THAT THE VOLTAGE READS AS CLOSE TO 0.000V AS POSSIBLE.
5.) NOW TUNE THE CV OUTPUTS FOR V/OCT SCALING BY
STEPPING UP AND DOWN OCTAVES WITH OCTAVE UP/DOWN PLATES.
- CHANGE ENCODER ROTATION -
PRESS & HOLD ENCODER WHEN POWERING UP THE MODULE TO SWAP THE ENCODER ROTATION DIRECTION.
WHEN TUNING A NOTE PLATE, TURNING THE ENCODER CLOCKWISE SHOULD INCREASE OUTPUT VOLTAGE.
